It is extremely common for different ppl to react and breakout to different makeup products (especially since our skin in general doesn't like makeup at all), you most likely shouldn't use that concealer anymore since ur getting this break outs, your skins rejecting it it sounds like, try out another concealer tho to confirm that its the mac concealer and not just ur skin. hope this helped! sorry if u end up having to throw away such an expensive concealer

MAC Pro Longwear Concealer vs MUFE Full Cover Concealer?

I have some acne scars as well as a some acne at the moment. I have oily/acne-prone skin. I'm looking for a concealer to use as a foundation. I've read reviews and seen videos. I'm leaning towards the MAC Pro Longwear concealer because I looks easily blendable and very buildable with good coverage. but I'm not sure if it will cause me to break out since I have bought MAC products in the past. I purchased MAC's studio finish concealer and the studio fix powder plus foundation, which I stopped using because of the breakouts. i'm not sure if it was the foundation or concealer that broke me out, but I think its the foundation because I still use the concealer on occasions. So i'm willing to give the pro longwear a shot.

If you've had an experience with MUFE full cover concealer, what would you say? would you suggest using it as a foundation? How thick is it? i'm looking for something light. I plan on using a flat brush like the one from elf to blend it all over my face. suggestions?

Does mac pro longwear concealer break people out?

I have pretty oily/acne prone skin and the only thing I will use is mac. I use the studio fix though, which covers everything really well and stays on all day. As long as you wash your face on a regular basis, especially days you sweat the most and make sure you don't keep using the same applicator for too long then you should be fine. All other products clog my pores like crazy! Hope you find something that works!

MAC Pro Longwear Concealer?

1. Does it have good coverage?
Yes, I'd say it's about medium-to-full coverage, but it's also buildable.

2. Is it worth the $18?
This is a fantastic multi-purpose concealer that you can use on under-eyes and blemishes, and it does look natural and last all day long (even without powder, yes). It's also one of my favorite MAC concealers, however it's not worth splurging on if it's out your budget. Maybelline Superstay, Maybelline Fit Me, and L'Oreal True Match are all fantastic drugstore concealers. My current favorite is Fit Me--I use it everyday in lieu of my high-end concealers now!

3. About how many pumps can you get out of the bottle or how long does a bottle last?
One of the main complaints of this product is the pump. You can't control how much product comes out of gthe pump, and one pump dispenses too much product, so you're either left to use an entire pump or save it in a separate container for later use. I can imagine that a bottle lasts a fairly long time.

MAC Pro Longwear is great if you have normal or oily skin and comes in a beautiful glass vial with a great matte black pump. Lasts ages and you can really see how much you have left. I really recommend it. As for colours, there's a great range but you can get away with a bit lighter if it's under the eye. I recommend applying it Kim Kardashian style, all over the under eye circle, and then extend it towards your ear so you have a lovely, highlighted canvas under the eye. Apply it with fingers as it sets quickly and then get a DAMP sponge and stipple it in. NO smearing it into the skin as the sponge will just absorb it all. You can apply some good quality eyeshadow primer under the eye to stop concealer creasing. xx
