Macys Over The Phone Interview How Will I Know If It Went Well

Macy's phone interview?

I applied at Macy's as a sales associate last night, and today I got an email telling me that they will be calling me for a phone interview but they never said what time.

My parents are saying that's what they do at all places you apply to and that they should of given me a specific time, and that they may even never call.

Am I going to have an in person interview?

I've had 3 interviews at Macy's and I never get a call back. What should I do? 5 STARS for BEST ANSWER.?

So last October 2011, I got an email from Macy's saying I got a interview. And the interview went well, the interviewer said that she will call me if I get the job or email me. But I didn't get anything. So I just let it. Then I applied again, and I got another interview on November 2011. My boyfriend applied too and he got a interview same day as I did, and HE GOT THE JOB! (My BF is WHITE) and I'm Filipina. So I was happy cause finally my bf got a job, even tho I didn't get hired on the spot. The lady said they don't have opening that time so she said she'll email or call me if I get the job or not. Then I didn't get a damn call or job. So I let it again. I told myself, I should try to apply again. I waited months to apply again, cause I waited for them to call or email me, but nothing. So I applied again, February 1, 2012. And I got an interview again, can you believe that? So I went and told the lady who gave me an interview that this is my 3rd interview. And she was shock. O.o. She was so nice and sweet. Better than the other 2 ladies that interview me, the worser one is the 2nd lady.

On my 3rd interview, she said its not her who's hiring, its the other lady, which that lady shes talking about is the lady who interview me on my 2nd interview. I'm F*****.. She doesnt like me, she's RACIST! : ( Now it's almost 1 week since my last interview, and no call or email yet. So I am calling them everyday, bugging them to give me a chance or to just let me know if I got the job or not so Ill stop hoping. You know. I called today, and the lady I spoke with said she might not be around, and she got my name and number. She said shes gonna tell her to call me. And nothing yet! :( My boyfriend is working right now, and I asked him if she's there, he said, SHE'S THERE! WTF? I dont know what the hell i should do!!!!! :( ****, Im tired of waiting...

Should I call the Macy's Corporate? Help me please.
PLEASE NO RUDE ANSWERS! Thank you.

I missed my job interview with Macy's?

I had a job interview with Macy's but I had to go fill out paperwork for the job at Hollister I recently got. I called them around 4pm (job interview time) but they didn't answer my calls. By the time the paperwork was over and done with at hollister i was an hour late so I just decided to go home.

What do I do? I really wanna get hired at Macy's as well.

How long does it take to get a call back from a job interview, like Macy's?

That is a question that you should've addressed during the interview. It is acceptable to call that person now for a follow-up. Make sure and thank the person for the interview, touch on a couple of your selling points and ask for a date that the position will be filled by. A lot of companies don't even call you back to say the job has been filled. I would also send a written thank you note to the interviewer. That will set you aside from the competition. Good luck!

It says i was invited to an interview at macy's but theres no interview times available?

I have the same problem and just wait until next week to see if the schedule has an open spot. Anyway, i scheduled one, showed up to the interview, and they told me that they didn't expect me. Oh well, but then they can get a hiring manager to talk to me. It was a joke because he kept talking on the phone while asking me question. I never get the job, which is good because i don't think i would be happy working there after going through the interview.

Macy's Interview is this a rejection? help please?

So I applied online on July 25. I got an email the next day saying that I was invited to an interview. I went to the interview about 2 days ago and everything seemed to go well. The manager asked me some questions, we went over my experience and availability, and we chatted for some time and laughed etc. The interview lasted about an hour. After we finished talking she told me that she was going to step out and get all of my paperwork together. She took a few minutes, I wasn't really timing it. She then came back and told me that she checked for open positions and that there weren't any right now but she would save my application and I should get an email and be on the look out for it but that I wouldn't get an email fast. Anyway I got an email yesterday saying this :

I checked my online application and it still says active accepting job submissions. I don't understand this. The interview went so well. Why didn't I get hired?

I was a few minutes late to an interview because I was at the incorrect building. The employer has several buildings in a single office park. How fatal was my mistake?

Always leave enough time to show up early.  If the appointment is at 9:00 and it takes you 1:00 (you estimate) to get there, leave at 7:00. Then  when you show up, confirm you in the right place then leave, then show up early, find the place, and wait around.  At about 8:50 let the administrative assistant know that you are there and you're only early to make sure you were on time.   The interviewer can take as much time as they need to see you.   Insist that there is no need for the person to change their schedule on your account.   You already made provisions to wait until 9:00.That's what administrative assistant will convey.   And guess what, you'll win massive points for (a) being early (b) being polite and insisting that the interviewer not need to change their schedule to accommodate you.And if he/she sees you early, the first words out your mouth should be "Hey, you didn't need to do that.  I don't mind waiting until 9:00.  I only showed up early to make sure I was on time because I don't ever like to be late.  I brought -  Magazine X (a magazine in your industry) so I could read while I waited.)Now here's the ace up your sleeve trick.   Put your name, phone number, and email on the magazine and forget it in his/her office.   Even if you don't get a call back for the job, most honest people will call and tell you that you forgot your magazine.  That will give you a 2nd change to talk to them.   But that's an advance technique. In the past, interviewers haven't even made me wait.  In fact, my last one I was told he was really glad because he had a lot to do that day and was happy I was a few minutes early.   (Did I get an offer, Yes.  Did I accept, No.  I realized it wasn't a good fit.)

Is it mandatory to wear a tie at a job interview for a banking position?

Here's the goal: you want to convey the sense that you belong. If you are applying for a job in a place where everyone dresses up, then do so at the interview. This works the other way too -- if you interview at a place like my company, you'll be told by the recruiter to leave the tie at home since you'll look like a dork and will convey the sense that you don't belong here.  This means that you have to know what you are getting into before you get into it.  Do this well, and you impress. Fail to do this, and you look out of place. There is one thing worse than under-dressing for an interview, and that's dressing in a way where it's obvious that you are uncomfortable in your clothing. If you clothing looks like you just picked it up at a fancy store and it has never been worn, that it fits wrong, or that you are fidgety, then your outfit will betray you.Remember this, your outfit is like a frame to a picture. You are the picture. You are selling you, not the frame. You want the frame to fit the image, but you don't want the interviewer to only notice that you can dress up, but fail to notice you. So despite what you wear, make the impression about you. Be inspired by this masterful scene ...

What happened early during a job interview that told you the rest of the interview would be a trainwreck?

Started with a handshake… went in for an interview for Loss Prevention at Macys. I knew from the moment she shook my hand, the interview was over, at least for me. Imagine shaking hands with a child. No, don’t do that. Her handshake was even weaker than that. Literally, no bone or effort was put into that handshake. I almost thought I broke her hand when I squeezed it gently, because in America, that’s how you shake a damn hand. Woman or man. That is a handshake.Go in… interview is okay.. nothing great.. she’s interviewing me… asking me where I’ve worked, what experience I have.. I can only imagine that despite my answering questions, the only thing I kept thinking about was how weak her handshake was, which probably made me seem “off” in my interview as I couldn’t focus on anything but her damn hand “shaking” mine.I ended up not getting the job but in a way, judging by that handshake.. I already wasn’t getting it — and to be honest — I didn’t care.
