Made Five Yahoo Accounts In Five Minutes And All Are Suspended

Airplane suspended in air?

There is no way an airplane can just hang motionless in the air. It was probably moving, but so slow you couldn't perceive it.

Some airplanes have a very low stall speed, meaning they can fly very slow, as slow as 25-30 mph (40-50 kph).

I was at an airshow a few years ago that had a lot of vintage airplanes. There were 'fly bys' of different aircraft, so people could see what they looked like flying. One of the planes was a Fiesler Storch, a WWII era German airplane that was made for taking off and landing in very short spaces, meaning that it could fly very slowly. (It had enormous wings which created a lot of lift at low speeds). In its fly bys, it would suddenly slow down and it appeared almost to stop and hang in the air!

When you see an airplane in flight, the background is the sky, so it's not easy to judge its speed. So I'm guessing that's probably what you saw.

How would you punish this.. suspended off school bus?

My son is eight years old and today he got suspended for five days off of the school bus for throwing a stink bomb. For some reason my brother bought him these at the gag toy booth at the fair this past weekend. I thought we had taken them all away, but evidently not. He took on there this morning and threw it and it stunk up the bus. The big problem is, other than he knows better, is it creates a big inconvenience for my wife and me. They usually do not ride the bus, but have this year becasue of me working out of town and leaving real early. My wife has to be at work at 8, so she has just been leaving and going straight to work after they get on the bus. My mother is going to have to make a 20 minute drive to come and pick him up and get him to school at 8:30.
Now, I pulled pranks when I was his age, but he knew better than this. I specifically told him to give me all of them, he told me he did, so he lied to me. I think I am going to give him a spanking when I get home this evening, not what I want to do right when I get home, but he needs to be punished for this, he knew better. He is probably going to lose his Nintendo for two weeks and do several extra chores to help pay his Grandmother in gas. Is this reasonable, too harsh, or not enough?

Help with Accounting !?

1. On June 30, 2011, the Johnstone Company purchased equipment from Genovese Corp. Johnstone agreed to pay Genovese $10,000 on the purchase date and the balance in five annual installments of $6,000 on each June 30 beginning June 30, 2012. What made Gmail unique when it was first launched? What are the things that distinguished it from other competitors?

A couple of reasons that made Gmail insanely great at launch were based on how radically different, new or ahead (better) they were when compared to any existing player:Data storage - Hotmail, Yahoo and all other major email providers were still circling the 2-5 MB data storage limit range. Enter Gmail with their 1 GB storage limit - which was a quantum jump over the competition. They took it a step further, where you could save all your mail (like the real world) and not choose what letters you would like to keep and not keep - and when you needed it you could just "search" for it - which was a big deal back then.Significantly faster response - When the team at Google was working on Gmail, like Google's search engine, speed was again key. The interface was light, and had no image/flash based ads keep it quick and easy to load. Simple theory - it was clean; it was simple; it worked!Conversation View - This is probably one of the core gmail experiences that was directly visible to the end-user. Conversation-view let users explore emails that were spread over any time period and still maintain the train of thought connected to a thread.Spam Filtering - Gmail had a significantly better Spam Filter. Hotmail and Yahoo Mail (both used by me at the time) always had relevant mail in the Spam Folder and vice-versa.Invites - This was the one final social boost they got during the launch. Gmail was rolled out to new users in phases for obvious product testing and scalability related reasons. However, in the user world, getting a gmail account was cool. Unlike social networks, your friends didn't need to be on it for them to know you were on it. You could show off your gmail id, and how you have access to all these cool services - "Yeah... Just write down my id... its xyz@gmail.com" :P. Initially, Gmail was invite only. And then you could invite only 5 of your friends - which was later increased to 50 before it was finally removed. This led to a great sense of exclusivity. (They tried to replicate a similar model during the launch of Google Wave and Google+, but didn't quite work out for them.)

Can I take dirty water and put bleach in it to disenfect?

You will need a purification system to clean dirty water. Bleach will not do the job. Drinking water shouldn't be dirty from the beginning. If the water is coming from your home plumbing, then you have a problem with the plumbing, and the city. Purification system cost a lot of cash. Not the one you buy in the store, you will have to call in contractors to have it installed.

Creative punishment ideas for a teenager?

As the mom of seven, five of which have hit that magic age of fourteen, I sympathize. I wouldn't say spank your 14 year old because even if I felt it was appropriate, the effort would likely just about kill you ( I tried with ONE of my fourteen year olds and believe you me....I never did it again becuase it was just too damn hard!)

My first suggestion would be to talk to her teachers, if you haven't already. How are her grades, her attitude in class? Is she perhaps bored? Does she have a teacher she particularly likes? Has there been a major shift in personality lately? Have you considered drug use, eating disorders, drinking problems? Has she changed her friends? Has she recently started cycling? (I have five daughters, four of which have gone through or are in the throwes of puberty. I can say with a definite YES that PMS strikes in this house regularly!)

The other thing to consider is that while your daughter is growing up, the rules need to be modified a bit. Are you perhaps a bit too restrictive? Too permissive? How good are you at following through?

As to the specific problems sorrounding school and the bus, do talk to administrators teachers and couselors, dependingo n how large your school is. See if they can offer any insight. Is there a possibility she could change schools? I've done this for a couple of my kids and it worked wonders.

EDIT- Humiliation in front of her peers is a TERRIBLE idea. It backfires 99% of the time and only alienates herself to you. If you want her to confide in you and trust you then do not use humilation as a tool in front of her friends.

Good luck.
