Male High School Dropout With No Ged Need Job Bad

What are some ways for a high school dropout (16 year old) to make money legally?

Well I don't think you can make a lot of money doing nothing but I do think it is possible to achieve that amount of wealth while doing some things. The fastest route I know is using technology. Everyone relies on technology and it is to no surprise seeing how easy it makes our daily tasks seem so easy. So go ahead and build a device that is very good and you know that it will serve a lot of people.I personally want to achieve more than that and I plan to achieve that by making games so I learnt about how to make games and I saw a lot of interesting success stories so believe it or not, a lot of money is being made in that sector. So I went ahead and created my first game on android using unity and I just released it yesterday. Why don't you just check it out. The link is below. We are on the same journey here and I am 18.UnderBirds - Apps on Google PlayCheers :))

What are some high paying jobs for high school dropouts?

Yeah at least get high school finished. Even with just a high school diploma you won't get very far unless you know the right people to get you into a good job or start dealing drugs. Even then, if something goes wrong you'll have nothing to drop back on and can be royally screwed. If you're really sick of high school, you can probably get a GED through a community college and then continue schooling through them for an associates degree. My one friend did this and ended up with an associate's degree one year earlier than she would have if she completed high school normally, not to mention she got a bunch of financial aid and was able to get two years of college out of the way pretty much for free. Just make sure you're serious about going to school because once you stop going it's hard to get back into it again and without AT LEAST a GED you're not looking at a fun future whatsoever.

Jobs for high school dropouts?

You can get a GED much quicker than a Diploma. Back in the old days a GED was considered real bad as opposed to a diploma but not so really anymore. As long as you show on an application that you are continueing your education, that wont be a problem. You can go to the local Dept. of Social Services and they can tell you where you can take a class to get your GED - or - if credible, online.

It is hard to get a job that pays anything worth anything, without that. BUT, they are out there, mostly blue collar jobs like painters/plumbers apprentice etc. But still, they will want you to eventually get your GED so you can continue training. If you do something like babysitting, that is an option but any babysitting job that pays OVER minimum wage will want you to have alot of experience and maybe training in college of early childhood development etc.

The highest paying thing you can do ONCE you have your GED is sales. Even without the GED you can start in sales like selling subscriptions to the local newspaper but you'd really have to work your but off to earn some good $. Once you do have the GED go for a sales position somewhere that will give you a small base wage PLUS commissions. You can earn a half way decent living that way.

Can you get a GED and a high school diploma?

Yes but it's redundant and not necessary. My suggestion… instead go to community college and get your degree. You'll love college. I'll share a secret with you. I dropped out of school at the end of 8th grade. I got a GED at 18. I felt like a loser. They had a graduation. I didn't want to go. I felt embarrassed. A friend encouraged me so I reluctantly went. A young man got up to speak. He started his speech with, “4 years ago I sat right where you are…”. He got my attention at that point. He went on to say he now had a bachelors degree. And I heard nothing else after that. Those two short sentences inspired me. I realized I could erase my GED by getting a college degree. And so I did. In 1994 I managed my way into Florida State University and graduated with a 3.8 Gpa and a degree in Social Work. I vowed to pass on that young man's good deed helping others in go to college. So if you are the one who got the GED be proud and go to college. You will love it. If it is a child or friend go tell them you are proud of them and share this story with them then tell them you believe in them. Getting a GED means you were smart enough to not attend high school and still pass. So move on and don't stop there. Yes I secretly have many moments where I regret not going and wish I could go get a real HS diploma but then I remind myself that it was part of my journey. Had I not gotten a GED I could never have inspired People to go to college and not give up. So there you have it. Sometimes what people do isn't as bad as you think. Sometimes things that don't look good are a stepping stone to greatness. Because I was a High School drop out i went on to become a social worker, Teacher of ESL, A special Education Advocate and a college advisor. :) All the best to You on your journey. Whether this is for you or someone you love, I believe in you. (((Hugs)))

Why are people so judgmental to high school dropouts?

Because you just asked a question about how to congratulate someone that just dropped out! That's stupid! Dropping out is a declaration that you do not care about your education, and in that, you dont care if you are intelligent, well read, use proper vocabulary, or have the ability to do math. Most jobs require a diploma as a base for hiring. Dropping out is a declaration that you dont care about anything and you are too ignorant to do something so basic to help your life. The few people I knew that dropped out (for good- not to go get a GED) never finished HS or got a GED, and now they have useless jobs, horrid vocabularies, and sometimes need help reading. Besides, when you are 14-18, what else is there to do but prepare for a future? People who enjoy being dropouts are losers and end up working at Mc Donalds, wondering why their lives turned to crap. Think I'm being sarcastic? I know people like that, so dont tell me it doesn't happen.
