Fruits Basket (I'm going to guess that you are going to get this suggested a LOT. I really like it. It's about a girl who finds out that a family is cursed and transform into the zodiac animals when tired or hugged...okay that was a terrible description, but it's very good, so definitely read it!) xxxHolic (A guy who sees spirits stumbles across a shop that grants wishes. He wishes to not see the spirits anymore, and in exchange for his wish being granted, he must work for the witch who runs the shop.) Tsubasa Resevoir Chronicle (Read this along with xxxHolic-the two are interconnected which makes it even more interesting. A guy's best friend loses all her memories when they are attacked and thrown to another world. A witch who grants wishes gives him the opportunity to travel through worlds in order to find her lost "feathers" which hold her memories. In exchange, he must agree to give up all her memories of him....another terrible description on my part but a good read...) Deathnote (HOLY CRAP IT MAKES YOU THINK AND YOUR BRAIN HURTS LIKE CHEESECAKE!!! A young man finds a notebook that when you write the name of someone in it that person dies. He decides to use it to rid the world of criminals. However, the police deem him a criminal himself, so he must juggle avoiding being caught, figuring out the deathnote, and using the deathnote to create his new society....A BIG THINKER.) Bleach (A guy who can see ghosts becomes a Soul Reaper to protect his family......er, yet another good book with a terrible description...) Aaannd...The Good Witch of the West Haha...I just looked over my list and...I hope you like fantasy stuff....8D

Any yaoi manga recommendations?
Some of my favorite yaoi are... Love Mode - http://mangafox.me/manga/love_mode/ Really intense and beautiful storyline. It has several different couples, and the characters are usually connected to each other in some way, sort of like how it is in Junjou Romantica. It has funny, sad, and sweet moments - definitely a MUST READ! G-Senjo no Neko - http://manga.animea.net/g-senjou-no-neko.html This one is really interesting. Aside from being a yaoi, it also mixes psychological issues in with the storyline. The 'uke' has multiple personality disorder. New York New York - http://manga.animea.net/new-york-new-york.html This one is pretty unique. It takes place in New York, and deals with serious issues such as rape, homophobia, gay marriage/adoption, etc. The ending made me cry a lot. Ano Hi no Kimi wo Dakishimeta nara - http://mangafox.me/manga/ano_hi_no_kimi_wo_dakishimeta_nara/ This one is really touching. Deals with domestic abuse, and falling in love with your best friend. If ya wants "serious" shoujou... maybe [seinen] is an upgrade to those "kiddy/pre-teen" ones. I also liked Hot Gimmick & Fushigi Yuugi! My recommendations: (1&2 are completed series btw) 1. What are some short completed manga recommendations?
Unfortunately I don't know about many short manga series, apparently everything I read or have read exceeds the 100 chapters so, I don't assume that also means short……. =\However, I do know a coupleBoku Dake ga Inai Machireally REALLY good!! Even if you've seen the anime, read it, Read it all from the beginning! It's such a good story with such good charcters and mystery with such little chapters (44) so what else would you want? >_^AndGreen bloodI personally don't know much about it, my bro read the first few chapters and said he “liked it so far.” He also said it reminded him “of that movie, Gangs of New York” so pretty much meaning it's about “gangs” in “New York” ;P so……. Yeah, just thought I'd mention it since it’s on my to-read-list =)
