Manga Studio Ex 4 When Using The Curved Line Tool. How/what Do I Do To Be Able To Manipulate Them

I'm 15, and I'm really interested in animation. My dream job is to work in a big animation studio (ex. Pixar, DreamWorks). Right now, I'm learning the very basics of Cinema 4D (I'm a nooby). Should I learn Cinema 4D? Or should I learn other bigger software like 3Ds Max or Maya?

Put down the mouse. Put away the keyboard. Go outside. Wait, did you bring paper and pencils? Go back inside, get the paper and pencils. Now go back outside, and DRAW.Okay, the outside part isn't even important, but the drawing part is essential. My alma mater is BYU, which has the most prestigious animation program outside of California (really: http://www.animationcareerreview... ). My sister tried and failed to get into that program. The reason that my sister couldn't get in was simple: her portfolio wasn't yet good enough, and it wasn't yet good enough because she hadn't been drawing enough.Draw. Draw everything. Especially draw humans, as life-like as you can. If you seriously want to rock this industry, you should fill at least half a dozen sketchbooks with everything from doodles to fully rendered masterpieces before you reach college. Learn to get proportions correct; don't always do cartoons and monsters, because they hide your inability to nail proportions. Draw from life and draw it right. While you're at it, animate your drawings. Try to communicate personality in the way they walk, the way they pose when talking, the way they bend over. Is your character angry, confident, depressed, spunky? Figure out how to communicate it with pose and motion. Animation is about the illusion of life.If you show up at a prestigious animation school with a sheaf of beautifully rendered life sketches and walk and jump clips with loads of personality, they'll teach you to use the 3d software (and they'll improve your drawing skills too). If you show up having memorized every single keyboard shortcut in 3d Studio, but you have a crappy portfolio, they will never even let you in the door.

Which program is better for drawing: Paint Tool Sai or Photoshop?

When looking for painting program, I eventually ended up with Clip Studio. Bought normal edition then upgraded to “pro”, or whatever it is called. (Actually, it is called “Ex”, and apparently it is a maximum upgrade tier.)Never regretted the decision. If I was faced with a choice between SAI and Photoshop, I’d pick Sai, simply because Photoshop is subscription based. However, if other options are available, I’d look for something else.
