Math Questions Based On The Movie Cliffhanger

If the Jurasic Park movies released in 70's with animation technologies from 21st century, could them defeat Starwars and Jaws in Box Offices charts?

Lets start with the math: You're asking if one Steven Spielberg movie would outsell both of the others? The answer is yes. Hell, yes.In the Box Office openings, Jaws (ajusted to 2017) did $38MStar Wars (adjusted) did $27MJP did (adjusted) $74MSo just in the opening weekend, JP performed better than the other two in their full opinings COMBINED.Now JP had 20 years of advanced technology, technology so advanced, in fact that people still use the principles of the techniques created for digital editing, and the Dinosaurs are so real, last year, in the era of photoshop and computers and crazy jaded movie goers, People think Steven Spielberg killed a TriceratopsLiterally a movie from the future, a future where it still destroyed the combined box offices by $9M.I bet people would want to see that. The #2 movie the week JP opened? Cliffhanger. Which opened at $16M dropped 37% Jurassic Park was that far ahead of its time EVEN in its own time! What WOULD be a better question is if Terminator 2 AND Jurassic Park were released in 1977 which would perform better?Because while Terminator 2 opened at (adujsted) $56M, culturally, the world was in a different place. Dinosaurs V. Humaniod Killing Robots? Which would be more terrifying? Sociologically, we were heading into the Darkest Years of the Cold War. One offered the visio of science gone amuk. The other a bleak vision of the end of the world.I think T2 would have beaten everyone.

What is the difference between a cliffhanger and a plot twist at the END of a novel?

Cliffhangers annoy your readers enough so that they swear they'll never read another story by you ever again. And they tell all their friends to avoid your books.

Twist endings surprise and delight readers, so that they seek out more books by you and tell all their friends that they have to read your books.

*That* is the difference between cliffhangers and plot twists at the end of a novel.

What is the suv that stallone drives in the cliffhanger movie?

Hi Buddy...
You gotta start doing better research man. I bet you don't even know how to use the Internet. Do you even know what a computer is? You'll find it here..... http://www.imcdb.org/movie.php?id=106582

Does Firefly end on a cliffhanger? If so, does Serenity resolve it?

I wouldn't say Firefly ends on a cliffhanger, but it definitely felt like there was more to the story than was shown. The series needed closure. Serenity does do a good job giving it that needed closure, but there is still room for another movie/series if such a thing ever happens (which is very unlikely).

Great series, great movie, you should definitely watch both.

Both the series and movie are on netflix streaming, by the way.

Is it appropriate to end a short story with a cliffhanger?

I'm working on a 7-page (double spaced) short story for a high school writing contest. That's hardly working room, but I've got a story planned out with a cliffhanger ending. It's not a Maupassant-style dark, gothic thing, and I'm hesitating as to wether I should, and can, use a cliffhanger ending, since there can't be a sequel. Any help is appreciated.

What happens toward the end of the Lifetime Movie Nora Roberts' "Tribute"?

Since my brother had something set to record, I missed the last half hour of Nora Roberts' "Tribute" last night. I was right in the middle of trying to guess who the antagonist was, too! I don't need a complete play-by-play, but I hate this huge cliffhanger. Help, please? :)

And, please, don't say to just read the book. My local library doesn't have it.

What movie ending has affected you the most?

For me having a cliffhanger as well as a movie where the bad guys win had a huge impact on my childhood. I can even recall doing the math, for what seemed like an eternity, until I could see the film that followed The Empire Strikes Back. Han Solo/Harrison Ford was such a likeable everyday man and likely manys 1st role model, even if it was an unsung truth.  Boyhood for me had me relating strongly to Skywalker due to his naive and unknown ways is the world, his family etc. yet Han's character was a hopeful template of what to become with age. There's no debate on what the later effects of Carbonites role played on answering this question with ease.

I keep seeing $1000 bills in movies, are there still $1000 bills in circulation?

I keep seeing $1000 bills in movies, e.g. Midnight Run, Cliffhanger, usually as part of the loot of criminals.

As far as I know the highest official bill in circulation is $100 and the $1000 bill was last printed in the 1930s, with only about a 150000 pieces left as collectors items in private possession.

So why do they keep using them in movies? At least as US-citizens everybody knows, that the largest bill in circulation is $100, so it is an easily identifiable error.

Thanks.

What exactly is the difference between the climax and anti-climax of any movie?

Climax is the point where the excitement and drama increases to its peak. It is usually towards the end of the movie. This is the point where the main objective is usually completed, often being faced by unsurmountable difficulties.Anti-climax is a kind of a plot twist that is completely opposite of the expected or assumed climax, eg where the hero almost completes his mission but suddenly fails whereas the audience expected (or hoped) that he would succeed. It can also have a negative meaning like some great difficulty or challenge being solved in an insignificant or unexpected (or unwanted) way. It can destroy the whole built-up suspense and leave the audience disappointed.
