May Someone Help Me With A Budget To Move Out

Can I hire someone to drive my Uhaul or Budget rental truck?

Can I hire someone to drive my Uhaul or Budget truck? Not a moving company, just a driver....?

I am boxing up my things myself, renting a truck for my stuff and loading the truck myself. I have one problem.. I am single, I own a vehicle, and I have this rental truck that I need someone to drive.

I'm moving from Colorado to Tampa, FL. My friends and family can't take off work to drive my extra vehicle all the way to Florida and then fly back. Is there an affordable option that will drive my rental truck long distance?

I read some similar questions asking, "are there services that will drive your Uhaul?" Every response seems to say, "it's called Uhaul not we-haul." I'm not an idiot, I know that. My question is, "are there affordable companies for hire to drive Uhauls or rental moving trucks?" I don't want to hire a moving company, they all want to charge $10,000 plus... I am not going to drive this truck myself. I'm not going to tow my car behind it and I am not having my car shipped, I am driving it with my pets.

Know of any alternatives?? Thanks.

Did your parents ever teach you how to budget your money?

Yes. My parents started giving me a monthly allowance at age 13 (as opposed to the small amount of weekly pocket money I got before). It was a reasonable amount but I was expected to buy my own clothes (with the exception of coats and school uniforms) and anything else I wanted/needed from it.The benefit of a monthly allowance was that I soon learned to budget it to last all month, whether it was a four- or five-week month. If I wanted an expensive item, I had to save for it, or go without for the rest of the month. My choice. If I wanted extra money I had to work for it. They helped me get a Saturday job when I was 14.When I was older and getting ready to leave for university, my mum showed me how she did the household books, and helped me work out what I would need to budget for when I moved out.It stood me in good stead, later.

How many miles to the gallon does BUDGET MOVING TRUCKS get?

There are just too many variables to give you an accurate number. The empty truck may get between 10 and 12 MPG, but that mileage figure will go down depending on how much weight you are hauling. Driving speed is also a big factor in fuel economy. The truck is probably capable of running 70 miles per hour on level highways, but you will get much better fuel mileage if you stay around 55.

If you need to plan your fuel budget for this move, plan on the low side... 6-8 MPG. That way, if you end up using less fuel than planned for at the end of the trip, you'll be happy to have a bit of money left over!

Can anyone give me a general budget for apartment living?

I'm really considering moving out of my parents home since I am almost 20 and work full time. I am planning to attend college this fall, but my work has such great benifits the company will cover up 75% of my tution. yay! lol.

So after taxes I make roughly 1,300 a month. I already have at least one person who I've been looking at apartments with.

I started putting together a budget list to see what I can afford and still save.

What I need is like avrage costs of grocerys for 1 person most of the time(unless I'm cooking for my boyfriend, but we always eat at his parents on the weekend). Also what I should budget for things like entertainement and personal items. I really don't do to much. I shop a little and hang out.

Besides the 2nd hand stores, good will and thirft stores where can I find decent tables, chairs ect. I already have a nice bed room set and TV.

Where could I find the best deal on dishes, pots and pans and decorations on a budget?
Thanks!

How much money do you need to move out?

And if it's not too personal, how much do you typically spend a month?
I'm trying to budget so I can move out... I grew up in an extremely emotionally abusive household and my therapist and I agree it's best for me to move out as soon as possible. So how much would everything cost? Including groceries, rent, electricity etc.
Thank you so much!!

What advice would you give to someone moving out for the first time?

I moved out when I was 21 years old, which is six months ago, and this was a rather important step that I had to move forward with. I never lived alone or away from home and this time I was moving to a different country on the whole. Here are some of my observations that might be of help to you.Carrying 3–4 months of expenses in the beginning is a very good idea. I did the same thing and I was glad I did not have to worry about paying the rent and other expenses as soon as I moved out.You might have to spend a lot in the first month on miscellaneous expenses which may include important daily needs. To figure out what you might have to buy, start mapping your day from the morning as soon as you wake up. For example, the first thing I need is a toothbrush → Toothpaste → Dental Floss → Coffee mug → Err, where’s the coffee powder? If you are going to live alone, get used to waking up on time, with the help of multiple alarms. You don’t want to miss an important class/test.Depending on your interests, you could stick some posters to make your room look better, at least for your own tastes.Since you are going to live alone, make assumptions on what groceries you might need and get them accordingly. You don’t want to get a gallon of milk and end up throwing it after a fortnight because it is past its expiry date. You’re away from home for the first time, find some good friends. Friends are like family away from home!I believe that living alone opens up a new side in us, which teaches us how to manage things on our own and act responsibly. The past 6 months have been amazing and I really like living on my own now. I hope your adventure goes great too!

What are some alternatives to an apartment for someone looking to move out on their own?

That depends largely on how much money you have to spend. If you are well-fixed, you can buy a condo or house of course. If you need to budget, you can rent a couple of rooms in a family home, and help the owners pay off their mortgage. There are additional choices, such as locating in a trailer park, or living on a houseboat.  How comfortable are you with unusual choices of domicile?

You think moving out will help me mature?

Ok so i m 24 still living with my parents I ll move in 2 weeks I told them the news and they were in denial and told me no , You re not I feel like if I move out I would grow I would be more responsible that is going to force me to open my eyes learn how to do things . They told you dont need to move you have everything we pay for everything but I think that s the problem I ll never grow if they do all of that for me I need to fall and learn my mistakes but I could be wrong fanicially i m going I save a couple money and I get paid almost 2x my rent I always been good with money with budgets and savings but there a lot of things I lack off and if I move out since I have rent and bills it would force to be even more good with my money. But then again I could be wrong any advice?
