Mayweather Vs Maidana Fight

Who really thought Maidana won that fight against Mayweather?

Maidana has one of the most awkward styles of boxing I've ever seen. No discernible fighting style from what I saw. He pretty much crouched, charged in with a wild series of overhead punches, and bumrushed Mayweather into the ropes for much of the fight. And Mayweather didn't do himself a favor by allowing him to get pushed back in the first place. Maidana has no footwork to speak of, also (unless you count those knees he put to Mayweather a couple of times).

But seriously, Maidana only would have "won" that fight because his fighting style is so awkward...and juvenile.

Guys was Marcos Maidana the true winner of the fight with Mayweather?

Mayweather won, fair with in the rules I say. But lol Maidana made him lose a tooth! When nothing happened to Maidana and Mayweather loses a tooth, then I must say Maidana won the fight.

In which boxing fight did Floyd Mayweather have the hardest time?

A lot of people say that Oscar Del Hoya and Manny Pacquio were robbed against Floyd, but I feel that both of them were not able to give much trouble to floyd. Floyd won 8 clear rounds against Manny who was able to dominate only the fourth and the sixth round. Also he won 7 clear rounds against Oscar. I feel that only three opponents could give a hard time to floyd.Floyd Mayweather VS Jose Luis Castillo 1Castillo was able to land thrice the amount to power punches and also more punches overall. This was a very close match, many thought that Castillo had done enough to seal a win but the judges thought otherwise. The bout was awarded to “Pretty Boy” Floyd. Floyd obviously had an advantage as this bout was fought in Floyd’s home turf i.e. Las Vegas. Floyd was able to make the necessary adjustments for their rematch.2. Floyd Mayweather VS Marcos Maidana 1Though both of them had connected almost equal number of punches, Maidana had thrown twice the number of punches and thus he was definitely the agressor, incase of an extremely close contest, the aggressor is generally awarded the win. But even this bout was fought in Vegas and Floyd got the home advantage and was declared the winner. Floyd immediately gave him the rematch and did not find much trouble in their rematch as he was much acquainted to Maidana’s awkard style.3. Floyd Mayweather VS Miguel CottoThis fight was not as close at the previous two bouts that I have mentioned and Floyd was able to clearly win on points but Cotto was the hardest puncher Floyd ever faced and was able to give bleeding nose to floyd in the first half, floyd was able to dominate the second half of the fight and finish on a high. Floyd was much more defensive in the rest of his career post the Cotto fight.

Do you think Floyd Mayweather truly won all his 49 fights?

No, I have always proclaimed that he lost his first bout with Jose Luis Castillo. I watched that fight a number of times and could never give it to him. His first Maidana fight was close but Floyd won. Many people give Oscar de la Hoya the (W) in their split decision. I gave it to Floyd 115 - 113, but could understand a draw. It was a very close bout (round wise) but all in all Floyd seemed to win his rounds by a larger margin. It could have been a draw without too much of a complaint. So technically he is undefeated, but in my eyes he lost the first Castillo fight (116 - 112). Floyd even looked beaten in his body language after the last bell. Quite a bit like Muhammad Ali in his last fight with Kenny Norton. And Floyd does not have many rematch fights. But he did against Castillo as many fans voiced displeasure with the decision. It's true Floyd hurt his right hand in the second round of the fight and fought one handed for 10 rounds, but (IMO) he lost. But Floyd was far superior to Castillo and in the rematch he easily out boxed Castillo and took an easy decision home. Some people think that the first Maidana fight was a draw. I had Floyd winning by a narrow margin in both of the Maidana fights.

If Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather fought, who would win?

Floyd Mayweather wins this fight. This match involves the best two pound-for-pound fighters in the world. Most people assume that makes this a tough fight to call. I beg to differ. As the old boxing saying goes, "styles make fights."  Floyd Mayweather has a style that has not been figured out in 42 professional fights(43 after the Cotto fight on May 5th) He is a defensive specialist/counter puncher, who is extremely tough to hit. Floyd has been hit solid a handful of times in his career. He has only been dazed twice. The first was by Jose Luis Castillo. The second was two fights ago versus Shane Mosely. Against Mosely, Mayweather responded by dominating the rest of the fight.Floyd's counter punching style is what Manny struggles with the most. It was no more evident than in his last fight against Juan Manuel Marquez (Floyd won every round against Juan Ma). Marquez controlled major portions of the fight by just responding to Manny's agressive style. Ringside experts were 50/50 on who won the last Manny/Marquez fight.Manny does present a few challenges for Floyd. First of all, Floyd has never faced anyone with the speed and power of Manny. Floyd will be able to deal with the speed because he is just as fast and his reflexes on defense are impeccable. Manny's power is his only real chance to win this fight. He would have to stun Floyd and finish him off with combinations(HINT: Not going to happen). Floyd's advantages:Weight - Floyd has fought at welterweight for over six years. He is accustom to the weight class. Manny started his career as a light flyweight(108 pounds!).  Defense - see above.Work Ethic - Simply put, Floyd Mayweather works harder than any other boxer. He is afraid to lose his undefeated record. He uses that fear to push himself. Manny works just as hard, but the problem is he has two jobs. Floyd does not have to look after a section of people in his home country. Manny is easy to hit!Manny's advantages:Power - He might have moved up a million weight classes but the man still packs a powerful shot.Corner - Freddie Roach is the best boxing trainer in the world and the sport's biggest fan. If anyone can come up with a plan to beat Floyd it is him. In closing, I will breakdown the entire fight with two lines.Manny gets hit all the time. Floyd never gets hit.Pretty simple if you ask me. Mayweather 116-112

Who would win in a boxing fight, Julio Cesar Chavez or Mayweather, both in their prime who would win?

I don't know who would win because you can never tell until they get in the ring for sure. But I would personally pick Chavez. Better resume and proof of quality of opposition. I think Mayweather had problems with guys that Chavez was way better than. Reasons to pick Chavez:- better opposition- body punching- constant pressure- very good boxing skill- chin- Chavez actually fought everybody, took on all opposition. Mayweather did finally fight Pacquiao but during his run at 140 and 147, he truly did skip a lot of guys in the natural weight class. His resume at 147 is almost entirely made up of nothing but former lightweights and jr lightweights...he never took on Paul Williams, Carlos Quintana, Kermit Cintron, or any of the other NATURAL 147-pounders. And the guys he beat at 147 didn't have wins over the other 147-pounders either.Reasons to pick Mayweather:- slick style- constant footwork- the lightweight version of Mayweather was seemingly invincible- Mayweather says he's better than Whitaker, and Whitaker convincingly outfoxed Chavez on many instances- I'm more familiar with Mayweather than Chavez.

Why did Marcos Maidana not fight anyone after his last fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. and then eventually chose to retire in 2016?

Maidana had a tough career, and is a brawler really. He did well at light welter then moved to WW.When he fought and beat Broner for the WBA title then the Floyd opportunity came knocking; he did well in the first fight, well enough to warrant a rematch and didnt fair to well in the second. However, what he did do in those two fights is earn a lot of money - millions of dollars. By all accounts Maidana lives a fairly simple life back in Argentina, and is a family man. Being honest then he probably reached the pinnacle of his career fighting Floyd, and had nothing left to prove and after earning millions for each fight its difficult to rebuild, start earning maybe ten times less and stay motivated in one of the most competitive divisions in boxing. So he decided he had enough, and who can blame him.It took a while to decide as he has been boxing for over 20 years and its in the blood by that point, and you never know, someone might make a crazy money offer to come back, but sometimes it takes a year or so to decide thats it.
