Why do I like sad songs so much even when I'm not sad?
I love sad music, I've been told to much. Literally had a friend say “why do you do this to yourself. Example from my top 5 favorite bands is Modest Mouse. Now to answer your question, it is because sad music usually is the realist and purist in my opinion. The best songs ever written in my opinion are those that make you feel sorrow, nostalgia, and grief. There is a beauty and necessity of pain and sadness…. Ok.. Since you have 10 days to “prepare” you could pick a romantic song that you'd like sing to her or any song that she likes.. listen to it until you're thorough with the lyrics(very important!).. Once you've learnt it thoroughly, indulge yourself into it.. And slowly you'll start picking up the rhythm as well.. When that happens, half your work is done.. Now you've to start singing.. You can either record yourself singing and comparing it with the original one or you can sing it to anyone of your friends and ask them where you're going wrong.. After correcting your mistakes to a certain extent.. Start practicing, while doing so.. Bring out the feelings from inside and sing whole-heartedly..
