Me Now Appears In My Sent Messages Instead Of The Name

NO!All your direct messages will remain but your comments and likes will be gone.Instead of your username your friend will see the name ‘Instagram User’ without any profile picture! And if he/she has already seen your messages, they’d know you sent them.

When you type a typical message in the text box and press Enter. You just gave a command to the Facebook server to encode and take the message (text) from your end to server end. End of story part 1. Thereafter you are disabled to make any changes or modifications to the message you just sent. When that person to whom the message was sent opens his/her Facebook account, the information is automatically retrieved. End of story part 2.Even if you deactivate your Facebook account, by that time the said message would be in the server and would be retrieved by the other person irrespective of whether your account was running or deactivated. Because the server runs on a preset protocols.

When your deactivated your FB account, your ID will still appeared on your every friend’s contact and friend list. If you deactivated your FB account, there’s an option if you want to use your messenger or not. If you disabled this option then even if your id still appeared on their contact list, they can’t contact you.I’m moving my FB account to a new one, so I often activated and deactivated quite often. My messenger is active on my old account. I never test deleting my account, so I’m not sure how it will appeared if you deleted your FB account. But, I think it will have the same effect.

As of iOS 6:Open the Settings appChoose NotificationsSelect Messagedand toggle Show Preview off. Now, when you receive a new message – iMessage or SMS – the notification will include the sender's name and "text."

Photo and name appearing on emails I send out not mine. Cannot access settings to delete it!?

Hi Liz,

This Yahoo Help article will show you how to change the name shown on your outgoing messages:

"Change your sending name in Yahoo Mail"
http://help.yahoo.com/kb/index?page=cont...

In regards to the issue with the photo, our system does not show pictures of the sender when you send from Yahoo Mail. There is no setting for that and your profile picture from Yahoo Profiles will not appear in your email unless you've attached it as a signature or link. I recommend contacting your wireless carrier for further assistance troubleshooting your phone.

Thanks

This is a very tricky question because it depends on two things:If the person picture is still there this means they blocked you. The picture doesn't disappear straightaway. If their picture is blank from the first moment it said Facebook User, then they have blocked you.I have a friend who loves to block me over little disagreements, then I have another friend who disables his account almost every week, aha. So I know the differences now.

From personal experience I’ve noticed that when you haven’t talked to a new phone number, the notification center will show the number until you send your first message to said number. If you don’t save this number and give it your own contact name, the notification center will show the name this person has on WhatsApp.WhatsApp recently changed what shows up on the notification center. Before the update you’d see people’s WhatsApp names, but now you see the name you have on your contact list in case you’ve saved their phone numbers. There’s no way of choosing which one to show. If you have someone’s number saved, you’ll see the name you’ve given it in your contacts list.

When I use im, my real name is displayed in the window. How do I change it to display my yahoo id name?

REAL NAME SHOWING ISSUE
The link below will take you to a site that explains in detail how to prevent your real name from showing across all yahoo services, it is the best explanation I have found anywhere. Know also that in a PM the only name that people see of yours is what is in the blue shaded area at the top of the pm box not what it says in the white text area. And the name showing at the top of your instant messenger only you can see BUT your real name can show in other areas like when someone adds you to their friend’s list and even in yahoo mail so please read this article.

REAL NAME SHOWING: If you are concerned about this read this article >> http://www.wackyb.co.nz/yahoo!_first_and... . It will explain how to prevent/change this across all Yahoo services.

I hope this helps you and please remember to vote if it does. Thanks.

My name on my sent emails does not match my profile name. How do I change this?

You have to change the "from line" setting.

Mail page>>options>>mail options>>Accounts (from the list on the left)>>THEN click on "Yahoo Mail"---(middle of page, under "Accounts").
Now you can erase whatever is showing, on the "From line" and type in something else---new name---or initials---OR ? whatever you want---THEN click "SAVE" changes at the top of that page.

You CAN NOT leave that line blank, otherwise Yahoo enters what was previously there or even sometimes puts "False" in place of a name.

Some people say you have to log out and then back in, for the changes to be effective----but some find it's "not necessary"-----maybe it depends on your computer ??

My contacts received e-mail with my name and address and some suspicious link?

2 weeks ago, Yahoo sent me e-mail, that they noticed a login to my Yahoo account from other country. So I changed my password.
Now, 2 days ago, my friends received e-mail "from me" . In my sent folder, everything is ok, so I thought it may be forged. What should I do and how could I stop it?
