Chemistry: Reaction shift question?

I have Chemistry homework and I was wondering if someone can help me.

The problem is that I have an endothermic reaction and I need to know if the reaction shift will be right, left, or no shift
Based off of the following

a) Add catalyst to the reaction mixture
b) Add noble gas to the reaction mixture
c) If the temperature is raised will Kc increase, decrease or stay the same?

I am very confused about these because I am not sure if it is the same for exothermic and endothermic. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time

Chemistry question... any help is appreciated .. thank you!?

Here is a short extract from a very extensive write up on 'Reforming' in Wikipedia. a)...Catalytic reforming is a chemical process used to convert petroleum refinery 'Naphthas', typically having low octane ratings, into high-octane liquid products called 'reformates' which are components of high-octane gasoline (also known as petrol). b)...The fraction used is Naphtha. In petroleum engineering, full range naphtha is defined as the fraction of hydrocarbons in petroleum boiling between 30 °C and 200 °C.[1] It consists of a complex mixture of hydrocarbon molecules generally having between 5 and 12 carbon atoms. It typically constitutes 15–30% of crude oil, by weight. Light naphtha is the fraction boiling between 30°C and 90°C and consists of molecules with 5–6 carbon atoms. Below are the web addresses you will need.

Chemistry Help! I would appreciate it so much if you could help, thank you!?

1. What is the name of the greenhouse gas generated by the decaying organic waste in landfills?
A. argon
B. carbon monoxide
C. methane
D. ozone

2. Which of the following is the best explanation as to why a combination of renewable energy resources will be necessary to replace fossil fuels?
A. Alternative energy sources have higher than average operating costs.
B. Electricity generated by alternative fuels has a very low electrical current.
C. Society is skeptical on some of the alternative energy sources so a variety is necessary.
D. One alternative source is unable to meet the demand because of each source's limitations.

3. Which of the following most correctly predicts the impact on the environment if sustainable practices are not followed?
A. The ecosystems of the world will be uniformly damaged, but they will rebound quickly.
B. Natural resources will be depleted, and the negative impact may be too severe to recover.
C. The environment will not be adversely affected because the ecosystem of the world is too large.
D. Rain forests will be depleted, but the oceans will be preserved because of their geographical isolation.

4. A newly developed technology allows waste to be broken down into separate elemental forms. The end products are a hydrogen rich gas and a solid, with very little greenhouse gases released. What is the best explanation of why this type of technology has been developed?
A. Scientists and engineers received a grant from the government.
B. Science is a process and new technologies are the end products.
C. New technology will allow humans to continue to create waste at the same rates.
D. Humans are running out of room in landfills and have limited options for making more.

Thanks so much!

CHEMISTRY QUESTION!!!!?

You take 200. g of a solid at 30.0 C and let it melt in 400. g of water. the water temperature decreases from 85.2 C to 30.0 C. Calculate the heat of fusion of this solid.

The answer is 461 J/g but i don't know how to get to that answer....

Can anyone please give an explanation on how to solve this???

Thank you

Parts per million chemistry question?

Molar mass of Mg2P2O7 is 222.55 g/ mol
Mg contributes 48.6 g to the molar mass or 21.842 %

so mass of Mg in the final salt = 21.842 % of 5.43 x 10 ^-2 g = 0.01186 g g or 11.86 mg of Mg

these alll came from the initial sample so we have 11.86 mg of Mg / 111.690 g of solution

so g / 10 ^6 g of solution = .0.01186 g x 10 ^6 / 111.690 = 106.2 ppm Mg

Chemistry question, please help!?

My textbook doesn't cover much of this information, an explanation would be more than appreciated! Thank you ahead of time.

Consider an aqueous Na2SO3 solution and select the true statement from the following.

A. addition of aqueous NaCl will decrease hydrolysis involving the SO3– ion
B. addition of water will decrease hydrolysis involving the SO3– ion
C. addition of aqueous HCl will decrease hydrolysis involving the SO3– ion
D. addition of aqueous HCl will increase hydrolysis involving the Na+ ion
E. addition of aqueous HCl will increase hydrolysis involving the SO3– ion

The key here is the word appreciate. We should use much instead of very before this particular word. In formal contexts in affirmative sentences, much can be used as a degree adverb before the verbs admire, appreciate, enjoy, prefer and regret to emphasize how we feel about things. For example, I much enjoyed studying with you or his art is much admired, or as in our case with this discussion, we can say it is much appreciated. We can use very much in a similar way before these verbs. Thus if we wanted to use very joined with much, we can say “It is very much appreciated.”I hope this helps.

There’s some regional variations. In England “much appreciated” is a short hand that’s often used. But if you wanted to go one level higher in appreciation, preface it with a thank you.Thank you, much appreciated.Thank you, you’re very kind.Thank you, that’s very thoughtful.Possibly the most appreciative phrase I can think of, is when you can’t think of a way of expressing your appreciation, which comes out as.I can’t tell you how much I appreciate that. (meaning you are so grateful you are lost for words).
