Mfs Have You Thought About The Mexico Brazil Argentina Cycle

MFS: Brazil vs Mexico HT thoughts?

Jerry Flores needs to come off, for either Reyna or Barrera. Salcido and Torrado better passing, and Moreno and Maza defend better, Chicharito needs to be moving more.

Gio is beasting !

MFS: what are ur thoughts on what Faitelson said about Mexico's game BQ:?

We create a lot but we have weak strikers. We can't finish what we started and when our defence is put on the test they fail!
Same old Mexico, we never change.

Sure we can beat national teams like Bolivia, New Zealand, etc. When we have real teams we don't come up big. What were the point of those meaningless friendlies we had the past couple months? Did Spain, Brazil, Argentina, Italy, Germany, Netherlands, or England had that many friendlies?

We need to open our eyes and stop overrating our team for God's sake. We can't compete with England, Netherlands, Spain, Brazil, etc.
England could've easily put more on the board and they didn't even play with their best lineup. Capello was experimenting with this XI, he was trying out many players.

We don't even have a identity 17 days before the world cup starts and that's sad. Vela and Chicharito needs to step up in BIG games, we can't expect Guille to save our@$$ every time.

Mexico vs Brazil Thoughts?

First of all these three players are all strikers, which obviously means that there is almost no chance for them to play together from the start of the game. This is due to the fact that Hugo will never get away from his 4-4-2 formation. Second, Gio is still not ready to be starting games against big teams like Brazil, its only his second game. As for Vela, i think the only reason that he is being called up for is because of what he did in Peru '05, because other than that he hasn't showed much of anything. Finally, Castillo seemed to have been in his own little world against Brazil, he attempted too many individual plays and ended up losing the ball. As soon as Gio gets more experience and Nery learns to play with his teammates, Mexico will have a great force in the attack.

MFS: Brazil vs Mexico 2-0 FT thoughts?

All in all it was not a horrible game by Mexico. It is very worrisome at the lack of attack and creativity on Mexico's side to cause any damage up front. Chepo plays it too safe, he does not risk at all. Flores has no business starting right now. Barrera seems to be the option there and not Flores, sub in Aquino in the second half and Mexico will constantly have more speed on the right side and more attacking opportunities. The players that stood out today were Corona, Mier, Dos Santos and Barrera in the second half. I think if Vela would return he would compliment Guardado really well on the left side. I really do think Torrado should not even be called up at all. He gives up way too many plays and his passing seems to be more inaccurate each time. Mexico has the players and the talent, just the scheme that Chepo has put on the field is really not working to many of the players advantages. Mexico needs to start aggressive from the first half and not play a safe formation anymore because the world cup qualifiers are nearing it's end and Mexico has been a huge disappointment. Wish La Volpe was still the coach.

Mfs: America wins, Cruz Azul loses. Your thoughts? ?

I didn't watch either game frankly I don't give a **** what Cruz Azul results are there pathetic . As for America good for them and Chivas maybe next time

Yes they can, but it will take a long time to this happen. As you know soccer is really popular in Latin America, it’s part of our culture. In Brazil 77% of brazilians considered football a “greater passion” while in China only 31% of urban Chinese residents say they're interested in soccer, to change that the chinese government have a plan to become the "world football superpower" by 2050, expecting 50 million people watching and playing the game by 2020.Let’s have a look at The FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking for men:In the top 10 we have 4 South American countries and 6 of them are European.China is below nations like Honduras and Uganda that have far less resources.Oscar, Hulk Elkeson, are some brazilians in the Chinese Super LeagueBut things are changing, right now there are 24 brazilians playing in the Chinese Super League, the brazilian player Hulk[1] was paid $61 million.Their plan targets include:— Having at least 20,000 soccer training centers and 70,000 pitches by 2020, and one pitch for every 10,000 people by 2030.— Developing a women’s soccer team that’s world-class by 2030. [3]They have the money, and they are investing on it, I am not sure if they can become the best in the world by 2050, but it won’t be a surprise to see China in the top 10.Futebol é 'maior paixão' para 77% dos brasileiros, aponta pesquisa IbopeChina is making huge investments to become a soccer superpowerEsporte - iG @ http://esporte.ig.com.br/futebol...China aims to become football superpower 'by 2050' - BBC NewsFootnotes[1] Hulk (footballer) - Wikipedia[2] The FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking - Associations - China PR - Women's - FIFA.com[3] The FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking - Associations - China PR - Men's - FIFA.com

MFS: Now that mexico is out, what team do you support?

Sorry for mexico -_- that referee was a retard -_- now i think brasil vs argentina final is possible...my favorite team is argentina...

Good question. The problem here though is that development in Latin America seems to be unlike anywhere else on the planet for two main factors which will be explained below:The USA has always seen “the Americas” as their exclusive domain. Therefore, there has been more interference by the USA in Latin America over a longer period of time than in any other part of the planet (including the Middle East).Latin America has some very large economies, such as Brazil, Argentina, and indeed, Mexico. They are large and industrialised, in fact, Brazil has the 8th largest economy on earth, Mexico the 15th, and Argentina the 21st. The problem is that their economies go through severe boom and bust cycles. So, these are not developing economies. In fact, they are well developed economies already. So, let’s bring these points together. If one looks historically at the boom and bust cycles of these three economies, there is close correlation to levels of US interference (and the same can be said throughout all of Latin America). The boom-bust cycles are basically political cycles. When right-wing governments get “elected” in these countries (and across Latin America), there is inevitably US interference in some way or other. These right-wing governments then impose austerity measures, including mass privatisations (often to US companies), which shrink the economy because they are simply relying on the cash injections from the privatisations rather than actually investing to grow the economy. When left-wing governments get elected in these countries, it is generally because the people have been completely decimated by the high levels of unemployment and rampant inflation caused by austerity. They attempt to restart the economy by investing but inevitably run into problems when they start building up large deficits before the investments can start bringing in a return. And so, the elites revolt, the US gets involved, and the cycle starts again. So, will they become developed by 2050? They are developed and would be stable if they were left to their own devices.
