Microsoft 2010 Image Fitting Question

How can I fit a picture in a cell in Microsoft Excel?

Images in Excel are on a separate layer and float above the cells.  However, there may be some tricks that could approximate what you need.1. Insert > Picture2. Size the cell so that the picture fits completely within it.3. Right click on the picture and select Format Picture.4. Select Properties and click on Move and Size with Cells.At this point, you can resize the colum or row, insert columns or rows or filter data and the picture stays in the cell.  However, it's still possible to click on the picture and drag it out of the cell. To keep the picture from moving, you could try locking the picture cells and protecting the worksheet.Make a back up of your file before you do this in case you have problems with the password part.1.  Select *all* the cells.2. Right click and select Format Cells.3. Under Protection tab, uncheck Locked.  (Locked is the default so you need to actively unlock the other cells.)4. Select the cells with the pictures.5. Right click and select Format Cells.6. Under Protection tab, check Locked.7. Under Review menu, click on Protect Sheet.  (This is for Excel 2010, it might be different on other versions.)8. Set a password, uncheck Select locked cells, check any other editing activities in the list that are appropriate.Now  you won't be able to drag the picture from the cell.  To edit the picture cells, click on Unprotect Sheet and enter the password.

How do I change paper size to A2 on Microsoft Word?

I kept seeing ‘A2 and wanting to read ‘A4’…A2 is a bit unusual as the PaperSize .Org folks (link below) define in the following table that includes the dimensions: Size (mm) Size (in) Aspect Ratio ISO
============= ============== ============ ===
A 216 x 279 mm 8.5 x 11.0 in 1:1.2941 A4
B 279 x 432 mm 11.0 x 17.0 in 1:1.5455 A3
C 432 x 559 mm 17.0 x 22.0 in 1:1.2941 A2
D 559 x 864 mm 22.0 x 34.0 in 1:1.5455 A1
E 864 x 1118 mm 34.0 x 44.0 in 1:1.2941 A0
From: International Paper Sizes, Formats & Standards ExplainedFortunately the ‘A2‘ size at 17″ X 22″ will just fit into Microsoft Word’s (22″ x 22″) maximums but on my ‘English-American’ set-up it’s not among the standard choices so you may have to define it.You can do that by:Choosing [Layout] (See ‘A’ below)Click on the ‘page setup link’ (See ‘B’)Select the ‘Custom Size’ option (See ‘C’) and enter the ‘A2’ Dimensions.Press [OK] and you should be working ‘A2’ sized screen and paper with (See ‘D’)Don’t forget that you’ll need a printer or maybe a PDF generating tool capable printing to the ‘A2’ size.

Header is cut off in microsoft word. Help?

Put the cursor either at the top of the document or in between pages. The cursor will change to two arrows facing each other and it will say "Double-click to show/hide white space". Do that and the white space at the top and bottom of the pages will return.

This only affects the way the document displays on the screen and not the way it will print.

How to check the life-size of a text box in Microsoft Word?

I already printed out the pictures and glued them to this children's book I'm doing for Spanish class. Now I need to print out the text for the book. The problem is I won't know the exact size of the text in the document of when I print it. If I print it too big or too small, it won't fit correctly on the paper. How can I measure in cm the life size of the text box before it prints onto the paper?

I have a table in PowerPoint that doesn't fit on one page. How do I make the table 'roll' or continue on subsequent pages?

There is no straightforward way to extend a table to more than one slide. And probably rightly so. PowerPoint is used to communicate idea/concept in a crisp and concise way. If you have this kind of need, then it’s a good status check; please stop and weigh upon the content. There might be a different and better way of communicating.However, if you still can’t think of a better way, then there is a crude work around (which many people recommended below) -Copy-paste (or insert) the table in the slide.Duplicate the slide. Remove rows from bottom of the table in first slide and the rows which are a part of previous slide from the table in second slide.Add good transition and animation to the second slide to maintain the continuity.
