Might Be Having An Allergic Reaction But I Dont Know

Am i having an allergic reaction to nair?

Yup def. a chemical burn.. I got one really bad after using nair.. I cant ever use it my skin is to sensitive.. it sucks but should get better in a week or two.. the look the burning should stop in a few days. You need to not put any soap or scented lotions on it.. and if it looks really bad you need to go to the doctor so they can give you a cream for it.

The best I learned from mine.. is baking soda and water pasted on or an Oatmeal bath.. even inscented lotions hurt mine... But Aveeno has a good oatmeal bath and it should clear it up even faster..

Sorry I know how bad it hurts!

How can you tell if your having a allergic reaction?

An allergy is your body's way of protecting you. When you are allergic to something your body has identified that substance as something dangerous and signals your immune system to fight it. That can lead to all kinds of reactions like itching, swelling, hives or anaphylaxsis to name a few symptoms. I have many allergies and they each come with their own set of symptoms. I am allergic to mosquito bites and have extreme swelling when I am bitten. What I do is take a medication like benadryl. Icing is also a good idea which you are already doing. If you are itching use caladryl of take a warm bath with baking soda.

I don't know where you live but there are certain types of spiders that are poisonous. If you have been bitten by a spider get to a hospital and have it checked out. If it is just a mosquito bite I wouldn't worry too much. Deal with the symptoms as best you can and make sure that the swelling isn't putting too much pressure on a vein or artery, which could be dangerous. You don't want the swelling to get out of hand. If you can't see your ankle that sounds like pretty severe swelling, a trip to your local emergency room may not be a bad idea.

How long can an allergic reaction to a cat last?

Cat dander is rather radioactive -- it lasts forever.  Vacuuming can make things worse since it just circulates the dust and dander, tho vacuums with microfilters may do better. Air filters may work better.I wouldn't think that you would bring much back to your own house after visiting someone with a cat. Would there be anything else that you might be allergic to?What I do since I am allergic to cats and have pretty much always lived with them is to take the generic of Zyrtec, a non-drowsy antihistamine that is available over the counter at least in the USA. Also, sometimes what seems like an allergy turns into a cold in a couple of days.

I'm having an allergic reaction but I don't know to what!?

Allergies are very tricky. You definitely can use a product or eat something for years and the next day, all of a sudden you have developed an allergy.
You need to experiment on your own, a Doctor will not know....how could he?
Stop using the shaving gel....use something else. Are you using some type of lotion. As you can see, it appears only on the exposed areas of your body. Have you developed an allergy to the sun? You have to keep thinking what you're using in these areas and then slowly weeding them out. Could it be a sun-block in a crème you're using. You have to think of every little item you're using and you will come up it with it.....just don't give up until you have it............it'll come. >3

How long does food allergic reaction last?

Food protein stays in the body up to a couple of months, but the major symptoms should go away sooner, it just depends on how severely your body is reacting. With food allergies, you can have all of immediate, delayed, and multiphasic reactions where the symptoms recede but then return later.  It may take time to completely go away and in the meantime you may have waves of reactions that should become increasingly milder as your body deals with the protein.Sometimes a reaction can be minor and the symptoms seem like a one-time reaction, i.e. face itches for awhile after eating it, or it could be like the time I ate some shellfish after I knew I was allergic and have hives for a month.  Since it can take a long time for your body to purge the food protein completely, you might want to get some antihistamine medication to keep at home.  Usually these things are over the counter, i.e. Benadryl (diphenhydramine), chlorpheniramine, Allegra (fexofenadine), Zyrtec (cetirizine), Claritin (loratadine), Clarinex (desloratadine) etc etc... there are a ton more.  They can work a bit differently for each individual, but Benadryl is the most common in the US.

I got a tattoo 10 days ago, I think I am having an allergic reaction to some sunscreen I used on it. HELP!?

I got a new tattoo and after 6 days it became so itchy I couldn't even sleep. I kept putting unscented Aveeno on it to keep it moisturized, but it was still unbearable. In desperation I used some prescription itch ointment my daughter had, which didn't seem to do anything. Two days ago, because I was going to be outside, I used some sunscreen over the tattoo and the next morning, there was a perfectly outlined itchy bumpy rash around the tattoo. Two raised bumps that look like blisters also appeared. The itching is driving me crazy and I am worried about this new rash. The same day I used the sunscrren was also the same day I tried the itch prescription and I also got stung by a bee that day on the same foot, (tattoo is on ankle). This is my second tattoo, no problems with the first one 13 years ago. I also don't have sensitive skin and never have problems in the sun. HELP-what can I do? My dr. is out until next week, do I need to go to urgent care? Is there anything I can use to help

Allergic reaction to semen?

This is what I read:

People can have localized problems after immediate contact with semen. They can have burning, pain and swelling that can occur for long periods of time.

Semen allergy is sometime confused with recurrent vaginal candidiasis.

Ok, my fiance is a diabetic and it is under control. But whenever we don't baby dance for a period of time and then do it. I have burning, pain and swelling that can occur for long periods of time. Which leads me to me having an allergic reaction to his semen.

Could this be the reason we haven't conceived? Could this be the reason the doctor's diagnosed me with a slight yeast infection in December?

Has anyone had an allergic reaction after eating Necco Wafers? If so, do you know what ingredient caused it?

I had an allergic reaction to it last night, but I don't know why. In other words, none of the ingredients are known to cause the symptoms I had.
I love this candy but I don't normally eat it because it is so hard to find. However, two days ago, I found it in a store and I bought one bag. The day after, I went back and bought three more bags.
As I was walking, I started eating some. Later, my lower back started itching soon after. I was rubbing against something to scratch so I didn't notice at first. Finally, the itching got so bad, I had to scratch with my nails. I then noticed the lumps (Hives) on my back. At first it was just a few and some little ones. The more I scratched, the bigger the little ones got and the big ones multiplied. WTF! How did this happened? I was trying to figure out what I ate. Most of the stuff I ate doesn't normally cause this kind of problem. It had to be the Necco wafers. However, now I'm confused. What's in Necco Wafers that could cause an allergic reaction?
