Meps military skin question?
i have mild discoloration on my back and stomach. Nothing contagious or serious. Just my skin is alittle bit lighter. Will they disquailify me at meps????

MEPS the military place health question?
i have a question, ive had a history of having constipation, as in i dont poop regurarly like everyday i guess i poop like every maybe 2-3 days and i also dont exactly need but does help to use laxative to soften my poop so it comes out easily, i just want to know if this will be a disqualification to join the militray or will i just need to wait and see what the meps doctor thinks of it?

I'd report that idiot recruiter to his chain of command if he actually told you that. You cannot enlist if you have ANY pending court actions, including traffic citations. When the court issues a bench warrant for your arrest for FTA, your budding military career will be over. Failure to disclose ANY court actions or citations from police on your SF86 is a federal FELONY. Read the jurat by the signature line.
MEPS question for national guard.?
ok so im 17 and just now joining the natl gaurd.. Ill be signing my papers in less than a month... im trying to loose weight before I go off to meps.. I dont know for sure but I think im under the body fat limit.. but If im not... and im overweight @ meps can I still enlist? are they going to say I cant at meps??? I can def pass my PT test?? how does the national guard do all that?

The bottom line about flat feet is if they are symptomatic. That is: do they cause painful symptoms., limit your ability to wear boots or shoes. The military does not want people who start to whine and complain when they have to run or walk long distances. That will get you shown the door quickly. If you are fully functioning, without limitations, then you should pass the physical.

When i was probely about 13(17 now,turning 18 next month) there was a trend that went around that involved burning your self with a lighter in shape of a smiley face, and at the time I was the fat kid that followed. Later on in life it was confused for a gang sign, and im leaving for meps tomorrow and i was wondering if anyone knows if this will be a problem. my recruiter says its nothing to worry about but i just know the hell that ive came to face with these imbarrasing scars during my high school years. I am getting them removed by a plasic surgeon for free june 4th. but my recruiter said these scars arent nothing to worry about. just dont wont to be associated with no stupid gang while im trying to go to the military.please answer

When you get to the MEPS you are: Given a physicalGiven a drug/alcohol screenInstructed to fill out some documentsPerhaps interviewed if some of your responses don't make "sense" to the people at the stationReturned to the location where you embarked.You may be sworn in if you have decided not to delay your entry into the military. And that's about it. The majority of people who go to the MEPS are going to pass the screening simply because the recruiters have seen enough applicants to get a "sense" of who will pass and who is just wasting their time. They send people to the MEPS who have the best chance of "success" and that is most people who arrive there. The ASVAB testing also weeds a number of applicants out. While it's impossible to "flunk" the ASVAB, I have heard of people doing so poorly that it was recommended that they NOT try to enlist. They took that news poorly in most cases; however recruiters have to acts as both hucksters as well as screeners for the process. Unless you fail the physical, the substance abuse screens or you simply act "weird" you are going to enter the United States military if you choose to do so when you leave the MEPS.
