Mini-cruiser Question

Should I get a mini cruiser skateboard?

If your looking to do tricks i wouldent recomend a cruiser. Just buy another skateboard if u want to continue practicing tricks and if you want a board specifically for transportation or cruising get a cruiser or a longboard or a fishboard for cruising and vert. Although a regular board is acceptable for street and vert you can get specificly designed boards for either of the two styles like a fish for vert or a double impact or a part kevlar for street. The board u want looks sick but its only good for cruising and riding around. I think you should get it if u want but i definitly reccomend getting a new skateboard if yours is out of use because skating is a great hobbie and its fun to learn new tricks and skate at parks and just plain on the streets with your friends. Anyways if you want a board good for cruising and doing tricks - i recomend building your own setup, visit your local skate shop and tell them what your trying to do.

Car Images! MINI or Cruiser?

I truly have a ninety 8 shop away from Grand Caravan. The gasoline financial gadget is extra helpful than a great SUV, and there are convenience issues... like, skill homestead windows, baby locks, the sliding doorways. i like it because of the doorways for the main area, enormously considering the fact that my son is 9 months previous and that i nevertheless could desire to %. a stroller everywhere with me, that's large to have the skill to take the seats out and in. It additionally drives like a automobile, that's helpful. My fiance has a huge relatives so numerous the cases i'm transporting lots of persons, that's helpful to have that lots seating. yet, i do unlike attempting to park that great bus, numerous the time that's merely my son, fiance and that i... so we don't want all that better room, interestingly all Caravans make a strange ticking sound, in spite of the incontrovertible fact that that's truly troublesome. I truly have had to get a sparkling transmission in the three years I truly have had it. i'm in the marketplace for determining to purchase a sparkling SUV. some can are available Hybrid, which solves the gasoline financial gadget difficulty. i'm uncertain how many trucks are available four wheel tension, or AWD (My van is 2WD) i understand i does not have lots junk in my motor vehicle if i did not have as lots room, that's helpful. i'm hoping I helped somewhat. stable success, i'm drawn to this question, and am curious as to what people think of.

What are your opinions in mini-cruiser skateboards?

Usually these oval-like-flat shaped boards have those big sized colored wheels (approx. 54mm+)? . They either have a flat nose or pointed nose with a slightly curved tail. The one I am talking about is around a length of 26" & it is slightly shorter than a typical skateboard.

From what I know, they are usually faster & smoother than regular skateboards when riding but a bit slower than long boards. I dont know if they are good for cruising around and whether if they are able to go through bumpy & cracked roads. Please reply back with your thoughts about this kind of skateboard....A reward of good yahoo points awaits for you! :D

Should i get a penny board or a globe bantam mini cruiser?

you may get a Penny for $a hundred on eBay & the Bantam became on sale for like $55 final month. I unquestionably have a Penny & that's ok. First board I discovered on. i could no longer even holiday a reg. skateboard yet controlled to holiday a penny in like 20 minutes. they're quickly, yet as quickly as you hit a pebble you're screwed.

Are cruiser skateboards hard to ride.?

They really aren't that much harder to ride, though slow speed parking lot moves need good balance with such heavy bikes. The main change will be leaning, most cruisers ride lower, they don't have the ground clearance sportbikes have, so they do scrap the pegs fairly often. That can be a major concern to some riders. Also they don't have the accelration of sportbikes, nor do they brake as well. They are built more for comfort, so longer touring is easier on them. I wouldn't say they are harder to ride, except for in the twisties, but you do have to ride them in a different manner. I know what you mean about the weight issue, I have a Victory Kingpin, it feels like it weighs a ton, especially when I have to roll it around. When I go roll my Ducati around after that it feels like a lightweight minibike in comparison. Just change your riding style for the type of bike you are riding at the time. I currently have 7 streetbikes, they range from sportbikes to cruisers to naked standards. My cousin doesn't understand how I can change my riding when hopping off one to another, just have to know your own skills and what the bike under you is capable of. I won't lean my Drifter over very far and certainly won't take my chopper through the twisties, but I am not going to ride my Ducati to the next state either because my big Victory cruiser or even my Yamaha VMax will do that and allow me to ride all day, when the Ducati would cripple somebody after 3 tankfuls.

Longboard or cruiser?

They have longboard cruisers, they have nicer wheels among other things...

You can join a longboarding Society.....

I think you want a good Sector 9 Board or like a Arbor Board... To do alittle carving or downhill? (downhill carving, no sliding) including if you live in a suburban area, of like... that kinda thing.....

here are some boards....

The Arbor Timeless Pin 46"
The Arbor Fish 39"
The Sector 9 44" Peru
------------------------------
A good freestyle board for ticks, dancing, cruising, carving and downhill that's inexpensive would be The Arbor Catalyst 42" Inch
-------------------------------------

This board is really short, but I like it and I think it's cute but it's not good for downhill, just cruising, not for carving at all........ is the Puerto Rico.. it's really cute, but not what you want ^^;;;;
---------------------------------------...

I think you should go for a longboard, the wheels are bigger, when you put longboard wheels ona cruiser skateboard, it has issues, tends to wanna flip over and stuff o.O;;;;;
so yeah..........

Also you'll have a lot more fun on a longboard.... I didn't recommend loaded because they are a bit more pricey...... but I think you should go with The Arbor Catalyst 42" to have the most fun with everything from ticks to stuff.......

Also Original gets a bad rap...
THE BEST PLACE TO ASK FOR ADVICE WOULD BE HERE.......

http://www.silverfishlongboarding.com/

IF YOUR INTO TRYING ABIT OF EVERYTHING GO FOR THE ARBOR CATALYST 42", AND DO CARVING, AND FREESTYLE AND TRICKS AND STUFF.....
IF YOUR NOT INTO TRYING DOWNHILL, OR FLIP TRIPS, MANUALS AND STUFF, GO FOR.....

IF YOUR NOT INTO THAT AND REALLY INTO CARVING GO FOR LIKE...... THE SECTOR 9 PERU OR THE ARBOR FISH

IF YOU REALLY JUST WANT A CRUISER BOARD AND THATS IT GO FOR THE PUERTIO RICO,

BUT I THINK YOU'LL LIKE THE CATAYLST THE MOST, THE 42" INCH ONE....

Can you adjust regular trick skateboard trucks into cruisers?

Loose trucks for cruising Tighter trucks for tricks Adjust the kingpin nut to vary the tightness (bushing compression) of the trucks. Indy trucks are the same for cruising and for tricks, vert, pool or whatever. It's just the matter of the tightness of the trucks. The looser the trucks, the better they turn. There are some specialty trucks used for cruising, but are not necessary to get. All of my boards have Indy Stage 9 trucks, even my racing longboards. For wheels, you need big, soft wheels. Pig just came out with a new cruiser wheel Pig Wheels Radials 62MM 85A. You might also like some old skool Kryptonics Classics. I've got these on a mini cruiser and like them a lot. I think you said that you were buying a complete, so these wheel choices will probably not be available, you will have to purchase them separately. I would also recommend risers and appropriate hardware since you are using larger wheels. Here's a tip. Don't tighten Indy trucks at all until you have ridden them for 3 or 4 good sessions. If you do, you will blow the bushings.

What skateboard should a beginner ride for cruising?

For a beginner’s cruiser board, I’d suggest a medium-sized board - a width between 7.75″ and 8.5″, and a length between 30″ and 34″. This size is perfect for a trade off of stability and control (large boards are more stable, but difficult to maneuver and tough to travel with - small, Penny-style skateboards are really easy to maneuver, but more difficult to balance on). Also, I’d recommend a board with a kicktail, which helps with the maneuvering (it’s like a lever, and can help you pivot and make tighter turns and stay more in control). For wheels, I’d recommend larger than average wheels (60mm to 70mm diameter) and soft (a durometer between 78a and 82a). Large wheels help you get over cracks easier, but getting larger than 70mm diameter could make pushing uncomfortable, as you will likely need big riser pads (plastic/rubber blocks that go between your trucks and deck), and your board will be higher off the ground. The softness of the wheel absorbs the vibrations on rough surfaces better, which makes the ride nicer.Lastly, I do recommend standard black grip tape for providing good grip for your feet on the board. Those are the main things to look for when setting up or choosing a cruiser board.Hope this helps, and have fun skating!
