Is it legal to buy marijuana seeds online in north carolina?
Possession. They could even spin a trafficking charge if they're determined enough, and a judge could possibly even rule in favour of the DA. Also, there is probably a seperate charge for transporting illegal narcotics through the United States Postal system. I know that that's the case in Canada.
Suspended for possession of marijuana on school property help?!?
The exact same thing happened to me, apart from id gone to school stoned, people found out, and searched my bag and i had quite a bit with me. They just rung my parents, the police got called to talk to me, then they suspended me for a couple of days. They said because my mum was so concerned and 'involved' in going to school meetings and stuff to get it sorted, they werent going to expell me. I just had to go to all these shitty counselor sessions for months, and spend 3 weeks in school, but out of school lessons working in a room on my own. It depends, if i were you id get your mum to do everything school says and suggests and its surprising how much easier they go on you. I dont think they'll kick you out permenantly if you go to all the sessions, depends if you've been in a lot of trouble before. Also, school cant force you to take drug tests, they said that to the person I was with too, but they never actually did because he pointed out they couldnt do that. Main thing is, stay strong, do whatever they tell you to do or where to go, and youl get through it eventually!xx
Do those charged with possession of marijuana go to maximum security prisons?
Luckily possession charges usually don’t result in long enough sentences that would result in prison time. There are some ways it can happen, say you are on parole and you get an additional possession charge, you could have your parole violated and end up in prison. If you have it bagged out in separate bags, even if you were just picking up an extra 8th from your friend, you would be charged with trafficking. There are ways you could be charged with a felony for some weeds stuff.Even if you were charged with a felony, most felons end up being put on work release in their local jail’s work release cell (In laurel county it was the old jail, entire thing was work release) or better yet a class C or D camp, basically a minimum security prison, usually have much better privileges and jobs you can get. I did my 5 years in a work camp for the most part, Frankfort Career Development Center (sounds like a community college) and it was pretty kushy for an american prison (some are scary violent horrible places)A class D can get put in maximum for pretty benign reasons. One of which would be if the inmate is on any kind of psychological medication, zoloft can get you classified as mentally unstable. So much so that inmates with low enough sentences that would be in danger of having to do all their time in a county jail, will get put on some kind of psych’ med around their sentencing just to ensure that they are shipped. Sounds crazy, but even the max prisons are way better than county jails, I saw more violence from other inmates and guards in county than I ever did in max. Went to northpoint, a max prison in Ky and LaGrange for a short period of time, and it wasn’t as bad as people make it out. Most of the people I saw get hurt were kind of asking for it in some way. Guards didn’t mess with people as far as assaulting them, or macing/tazing people. They could get written up for being too heavy handed, but in county they were pretty much uninhibited.Really weren’t many people in max unless they had violated their parole for a weed related crime. There was no one there who’s initial charge was simple marijuana possession.
I'm a minor (17). If I tell my doctor I smoke marijuana could it get my parents in trouble?
I don’t recommend telling your doctor you do drugs unless it’s relevant. For example, I have a friend who, aged under 30, had a serious genetic heart condition she only found out about last year after nearly dying. She smokes weed for pain but weed is neither legal nor accessible for medical purposes in Estonia. When she asked her doctor, he simply didn’t know what to say. So she left none the wiser. Of course, as she is under 30, nobody cares. Laissez faire. If there is nothing wrong with you, there is no reason to talk about it to your doctor out of the blue. We as a society have a hard time accepting that drugs have been a normal part of life for as long as humanity has existed, and it’s only thanks to the practitioners of one or two specific faiths that has seen the use of psychoactive plants and compounds looked down upon. Honestly, it’s the 21’st century, we should get over it.If you really need to tell them, for whatever reason, make sure you’ve got doctor-patient confidentiality and they’re not at liberty to share the information without your consent. There’s no point in suffering for a principle and having nothing change for the better as a result.Unless your parents know and help you obtain said marijuana, they can’t get in trouble unless you get arrested for possession* or something else illegal and they have to pay your fines for you.*Check what the decriminalized amount in your area is, because it may mean the difference between simply getting a “ticket” or a fine from the officer, like you get for being intoxicated from alcohol as a minor, or actually getting arrested.
Can a police officer search a minor without permission of a parent in the state of Virginia?
They do have the right to "pat" you down. A right given to law enforcement under the landmark case Terry v. Ohio. If they smelt burning or burnt marijuana coming from your car, they have every right to search it as well. They have evry right to question you about it since it was your car. However, if they are going to ask you questions that may be used against you in court, you should be advised of you Miranda Warnings before hand. Your friend got a ticket for tobacco and you got nothing. One of two possibilies here. You may have gotten off scott-free or the officer could have documented the evidence and forwarded the information to the juvenile court for them to decide if they will pursue charges against you. This would occur because possession of marijuana is a felony, whereas the tobacco is strictly a status offense. The police have approximately 7 years to file charges for a felony offense. And yes, they can do all of this without ever having spoken to your parents first. The only time they are required to notify your parents is when you are in custody and being charged with a crime. They then have a duty to notify a parent or guardian. They would do that for two reasons. 1) To arrange for a parental release in lieu of transport to juvie. 2) If the chages are significant enough, they may have to put you in juvie. If they are, they have to notify your parents before they do it.
