Why is mint jelly often paired with lamb in restaurants?
Lamb is very popular in the Middle East, as it is mint. There are several dishes from that region that include mint leaves. Mint is also used for decoration in the dishes served. The combination of lamb and mint is pretty old. What is probably newer is the pairing with mint jelly; the flavors contrast and complement each other, and while it may seem or taste unusual, it's highly liked by lots of people.
What are some cool non-standard jam/jelly flavors?
In a similar vein, I was recently given a peach and jalapeno jam which was great. Why isn’t there a bacon or grilled steak flavored vape or e-cigarette?
There are but there really, really shouldn’t be. I diy all of my ejuice and have tried a few savory flavor bases. The bacon tasted a lot like how dog treats smell and stinks up a room faster than your dog farting after eating said treats. Pizza was like when you burp after eating too much pizza and experience the flavor all over again half digested mixed with stomach acid. Blue cheese tasted like vaping dirty feet sweat.Sweeter flavors just translate better in vape form, these savory flavors are really only used as a joke vape or challenge sort of like the Harry Potter jelly beans that have gross flavors. It would never catch on to try and market for regular use. Once you have an understanding of how premium vape juice is made and how each recipe uses precise percentages of multiple flavors to come together just right you’ll really understand how no amount of trying will ever get something like bacon to taste good in a vape.
