Missing Non Android Or Non I Phone Phone

Can an SD card move apps from an Android to an iPhone?

I recently switched from an android to an iphone for the first time, and I have pretty much everything on my SD card in my android (apps, pictures, videos, etc). Will anything be lost if I move this card into the iPhone? I know that apps can be different between the two phones so I just don't want to mess anything up.

Android device manager not working?

If you go to Settings > Security > Device administrators, is "Android Device Manager" present and checked? If so, I can't think of why it isn't working, unless you're just not getting a GPS fix from wherever you are.

Also check under Settings > Location access and make sure "Access to my location" is ON and that both "GPS satellites" and "Wi-Fi & mobile network location" are checked as well.

Note that I'm using a Samsung Galaxy Nexus, which runs "pure Android," so your settings menus might be named slightly differently.

Let us know if the settings are as I described and, if so, I'll try to think of something else. :-)

How can i track my lost phone?

Stolen sprint cell phone...no insurance...options for replacement?

Sprint will only activate Sprint-branded phones on its network. You can buy one on a site like eBay but you have to be careful. If the ESN is on the lost/stolen phone list, Sprint will not activate it. If the account that the phone use to be on has a balance, Sprint will not activate the phone until the balance is paid in full.

Track a stolen phone?

1st thing, forget "tracking" your phone to recover it. If the phone is not sanding still on the sidewalk, there is little chance of you tracking ti down to an apartment building and getting it back, even it the GPS can tell you within 3 feet, where the phone is. And as far as I know, there are no after the fact "find my phone" type apps for Blackberry. If the app was not installed before it was stolen, the phone is gone for good.

Only thing I can add is, if you do have insurance, get that police report ASAP, because depending on the insurance company, you may have limited time to report it stolen, to file a claim. Some companies have a time frame of 48 to 72 hours to report stolen goods, others up to 14+ days, but check your policy or better yet call as soon as you know your item is stolen to find out what your time limit is. If you do not have cell phone insurance, your car, homeowners and maybe renters insurance may cover the loss. I have personally had homeowners pay for things stolen from my car (that were not covered by the auto insurance).

If you do report it stolen, you are LOCKED into having to file a police report and the claim can not be processed until you have that police report in hand to send to the Insurance company.

Nothing sucks more being too busy and missing the claim filing by one day. So if your phone was stolen on the 1st, DO NOT wait until the 30th to report it stolen.
