Missing The First Month Of School

2 months of school missed?

Let me tell you what the past 2 months have been like, i transferred high schools to a closer school and i hate the new school. Stuck up jealous girls who acted like their sh*t don't stink. I only went to 5 days of school in that school but during that time i missed most of september and october. Constant migraines always effected my days i couldn't think straight or even walk straight. I had absent notes from a doctor. I wanted to ask do you think that they can hold me back, can i get in trouble? I'm already in a new high school i started last friday but i missed almost 2 months already, they didn't act like it was a big deal, should i?

Is It OK To Miss The First 2 Weeks Of School??

NO NO NO. The teachers will always remember that you are the kid who blows off school, from the family that doesn't think school is important, that couldn't take advantage of weeks of summer vacation and decided to take vacation after school starts. You'll be tagged in their minds as that kind of student.

PLUS, it's during the first weeks of school that the classroom culture for the whole year is set. Expectations are explained by the teachers, social groups are formed among the student, rules are lined out.

It's better to miss 2 weeks in November or any other time, but not the first two weeks of school. Seriously--the teachers will always have you tagged as "that kid".

Is it bad to miss the first day of high school?

Just call the office the day before to find out what you'll be missing.

Maybe they would like someone to pick up your stuff for you, is that possible? It really depends on the school. My son's first day is a half day where they pick up their books, find their classes and lockers and then have a picnic on the campus. If they are going to miss, the schools asks them to try to arrange someone to pick up their books and stuff.

Call and find out what you should do. = )

I have to miss the first week of school. How do I cope with this?

I have to go on this trip overseas that is a once in a lifetime chance. I was excited at first until my mother told me that I'd have to miss the first week of eighth grade! I argued with her but she doesn't listen and said that we're going. I've never missed any days in the first few weeks of school because of everything you learn in that important time. I can't even imagine what it would be like to miss just the first week of school. The reason why we have to go on this trip so late in the summer is because our passports are getting renewed and we need to wait for those to come. Please help me. I can't just not go on this trip. Do you think that I'll be ok? I guess you can say that I'm a good student but I do not work well when I am in a new environment. I'm going to the same school, but it's still the first week and there are a lot of things I'll miss. What would you do in this situation?

I have missed a month of school, no one called me in sick, what do I do?

I have missed a month of school. All my days were considered "cuts", and now I have Saturday school. I don't know why, but after halloween, I woke up the next day un-mottivated. I recently moved in with my grandfather, but I miss my mom and sisters and brother. Every day I woke up thinking, ok I will miss today and go tommorrow, but at night, I look in the mirror and somehow convince myself to miss the next day. I think I'm depressed or crazy, but I would like your opinion. I have horrible thoughts now, of school and my future.

If I miss a week or more of school because of moving what will happen?

I'm a military kid and so I'm used to moving but I haven't ever missed school because of it. My parents got divorced and its been down since then and now my mother and I have to move so we are downsizing. I'm just wondering what might happen because I have to move around August 27th and school starts the 20th. I'll most likely not be able to start school until Labor Day.

I mean I know how classes will work but my dad keeps threatening us with going to a judge about me not starting school until later but I already am going to email the principle at the new school and all the information I will need. (I can't until later though).

(I'm starting 10th grade)

Missing 3 days of summer school?

it probably is true, you should have gone in regardlsess of being ill with their attitudes. why would they just try to scare you?

How can I start high school if I am one month late and classes have been started? Tips and guide?

I started my senior year and my brother started his sophomore year of high school in December, over two months late. Here are my suggestions.Depending on your age and circumstances, such as homeless or an emancipated juvenile, you will need a parent or other responsible adult to accompany you. Be prepared to be honest (within reason) about why you are late enrolling.Be prepared so a decision can be made on the first visit.1. Immediately go to the school and ask to be admitted. As you may be past the age that the district is required to take you after a certain date, be ready with as much information as you can, even if hand written.2. If you are not a returning student, they will need to send for your transcripts so bring contact information for the high school(s) you have attended and a list of high school classes you have completed.3. Allow the school the option of selecting the classes you will take based on your previous work.4. Volunteer to meet with each teacher to get class work you missed and complete it quickly while keeping up with new class work. (It took us two weeks.)5. If that fails, suggest attending independent study or another available alternate school for the first part of the school year.High school is a special time, even if you are newcomers, as we were. Best of luck.

I missed my coaching classes for about a month. How can I get back on track?

I will tell you my real life incident.....!!!!!..I was in some XYZ ( I wont take its name here )......And due to bad food and actually i don't know why.....I was ill for about 3 months having high fever and cough....I missed most of the classes.....then I recovered and then again after 15 days I was sick  and needed to be shifted back to my home from the hostel......Hence from May to next year March I almost missed my classes...This is how I managed....See first think it is possible....because your mindset can actually  change things....Start reading those topics slowly......not think of an overnight success....and here comes the role of your true friends....Read the missed topics and ask them few conceptual doubts you get.....Try to learn first all the basics......and then go for solving problems....There are plenty of study materials......where you get solved examples.....try them....and soon you will get back to track...
