I passed in the additional subject but failed in one of the main subjects. I had six subjects so I am declared passed. Can I still appear for the compartment exam to improve my marks in the main subject?

Depends on you.If you are pass in 5 subjects and failed in one of your main subject, then you are declared successful. No doubt there. If you want, then you can give compartment exam during the same year. Contact your principal and apply for reappearing in respective exam as soon as possible. Also, if you don’t want to clear and if you are satisfied with your result, then don’t appear for re-exam.Now, the question comes whether you should or you shouldn’t. It totally depends on what future you are planning for yourself. If that subject is required their, they do give re-exam. And if your plans don’t require that subject, then leave it.Hope it helps. All the best!!!!PS: Mostly, main subjects are required for getting admission in graduate degree courses (in most of the cases).
