Mosquito Bite With A Trail Pic Help

Is this a bed bug bite or mosquito bite?

Hi, I am kind of scared. I don't know if this is bed bug bite or a mosquito bite. I wake up each morning and I notice that I have a bite or 2 in a random spot on my body. This is not an everyday thing but it happens quite often.

I have 2 bites on my arm, 1 bite on my biceps, 2 bites on my thighs, and 1 or 2 on my other arm. I took a picture of a bite on my thighs and I am not sure if these are bed bug bites or mosquito bites.

It is winter here and lots of snow(Ontario, Canada) and I dunno if there are mosquitoes in this weather.I do have a little crack in my window and I also don't have a visible infestation on the lining of my bed.

I cover my mattress with my bed sheet and pretty much its tucked in all the way down. I don't know how a bed bug can crawl out if my bed sheet is tucked in under my mattress (all 4 sides) unless they pierce throw the bed sheet.

I am going to try putting a double sided tape aronnd the edge of my bed and see what happens tommorow morning. Let me know if these are bed bug bites or sumin else?

Thanks

How do you tell if you have poison ivy or bug bites?

I live in the United States in the great lakes region.  I have lived in the San Francisco Bay area and in the Nevada desert.  My answer is based on insects and plants I have been exposed to. I suppose that would depend on how you react to bug bites, but for me it's obvious.  Poison ivy shows up as multiple little water blisters in a thin line.  Imagine if someone took a leaf or a twig and touched your skin with it in a drawing or sweeping motion, then within   24 hours those drawings show up as blistery lines.  The blisters remind me of fever blisters that some get on their lips or face.  Poison ivy rash is also very weepy and feels warm to the touch and itches like mad for several days.  The only way for me to get through it is to keep ice on the rash, otherwise I have to scratch it. Different types of bugs leave different types of reactions, but they are more separate and individual than poison ivy.  The type of bite that I have seen  that might slightly resemble poison ivy would be multiple spider bites that seem to trail across a body part, but they don't weep.  Flea bites weep, but they don't present in thin lines.  These examples can be found by searching the internet, but some of the poison ivy images are pretty extreme and don't represent your average case.

Bug bites in the Grand Canyon...?

do not have a clue about those bugs, but to help in healing the bites, use some straight undiluted unpasteurized apple cider vinegar and dab directly on the bites. or
INSECT BITES: Take one part honey to two parts of lukewarm water and add a small teaspoon of cinnamon powder, make a paste and massage it on the itching part of the body slowly. It is noticed that the pain recedes within a minute or two.
SKIN INFECTIONS: Applying honey and cinnamon powder in equal parts on the affected parts cures eczema, ringworm and all types of skin infections.

How come when people squish ants...?

They use the excuse, "theres millions of more, don't worry about it" when one can say the same about people? And really, who are we to be able to kill a bug? I don't know, It's a friday night, and I have nothing to do so I'm especially creative now. Just amuse me

I found a bite on my leg with a red line coming from it. Could this be serious?

Hi there, that's a very interesting photo, the quality is not that good so I cannot say for sure but it could besome sort of bite as you suggested with some secondary infection, if serious usually you would also feel painful glands in your groin and you might start to have fever. It could also be cutaneous larva migrans , which is a little worm that is under your skin and cannot penetrate deeper and it will eventually go away on its own, or with treatment that your doctor will give you.I can appreciate that you are worried about this, it could be serious, I definitely need much more information and this is not really the medium to do a full on consultation. You might try and online doctor or presenting yourself to an emergency department, as I can see this is something that's worrying you and your feel a lot better addressing it sooner than later.I know the feeling of worrying about something like this, even if it turns out to be something very minor, so strongly suggest you get more support as soon as possible, receive a proper consultation, get an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment, and I'm confident you'll make a good recovery.
