Motivation To Workout

I have no motivation to workout!!!!?

You probably quit because you don't have a clear plan, so you don't see results. If you aren't getting results, then you won't be motivated to stay with it.

The first step is to write down some goals. What specifically are you trying to accomplish? To lose weight? Or maybe to gain muscle tone? Maybe both of these? What ever it is you are trying to achieve, write it down. Also write down all of the benefits you will gain if you achieve your goals. Will you feel better? Will you look better? Be VERY specific when listing the benefits. Actually feel the emotion you would feel if you were already at your desired levels.

After you have your goals, the next step is to tell family members and friends what your goals are, and ask them for some support. They can encourage you to keep your promises to yourself, and also remind you of what it is you will gain if you keep striding towards your fitness goals.

Always be kind to yourself. Some days you will just not feel like working out. That is OK. Just commit to getting back on your plan the following day.

Learn about some home fitness routines you can do. That way, if you can't get to a gym, you can still get in a great workout. In fact, I do nothing but body weight exercise and interval exercise at home. I never go to a gym, but you may prefer the atmosphere at a gym. I don't. You can get a full body workout in at home in as little as 20 minutes without any equipment.

I hope some of this is helpful, but you have already started on the right track because you are looking for answers. That is a great first step. Good luck!

I have no motivation to work out?

I have this problem myself however it's just about how much will power you have. If you're not determined to get that dream body then you won't, it's as simple as that. You need to maintain a positive outlook and be determined when working towards your body goal.
I tend to find that listening to workout playlists really helps when doing it, not only does it give you a beat to work along to but it keeps your mind occupied instead of focusing on the burning pain you'll feel if you're working out properly.
I'd recommend using a website called 8tracks.com and search for "workout" in the tags. People create workout playlists and they really help to keep you motivated.
Also find a photo of maybe a celebrity or someone with the figure you're working towards and put it on your mirror, make sure you see it everyday. Possibly make a list of goals you want to achieve by a certain time for example I have a list that states what weight and stature I want to be by the end of July.
Most importantly - BE POSITIVE.

Here are a few mixes that work amazingly well for me when working out:

I need motivation to workout!?

Well a motivation factor could be to impress someone you always wish that you could, maybe that person you like is with someone but hey not everything may last forever- and when they finally break up with that loser then by all means; go for the rebound and look good doing it. Alternatively you could consider looking attractive for your future mate and consider the fact that in a relationship that you can only really respect someone who respects themselves and let's face it- someone who lets themselves go obviously probably lacks the ability to care for anything else either. Not saying everyone is like that but let's assume that is what is going through the majority of people's minds. Yes, people can be evil but hey- it's always fun to shove that dirt they threw you right back! :D

Here's a few tips... if you need them:

For starters stress can affect your metabolism. If you stress yourself out with the concern of how you measure your progress then your already on a bad start. I personally find that everyone who tries working out/ dieting will find it impossible to actually make progress when they're simply too concerned about achieving a certain goal.

Secondly I guess if your not stressed then the next esscential step would be dieting. Drinking AT LEAST a gallon of water (I hear you technically need two gallons but who are we kidding sometimes, not all of us are going to spend the day by the faucet sipping on water).

Lastly, how long are your workouts and what workouts are you doing? Certain workouts like crunches will burn only burn little fat but only build muscle. So sometimes the illusion of gaining is put off by muscle gain at the same time. Either way; doing cardiovascular workouts that affect your entire body like Running, Squatting, Playing Sports, swimming, etc. will greatly improve how you look by burning fat. You can't do just one routine and expect it to berid of all your body fat. It takes time and it takes alot of energy. If time is a problem then by all means; go to a nearby health store and check to see what vitamins they can offer. If time is not an issue then just go and do whatever, getting out of the house may not be a bad thing but remember to never follow a routine- be spontaneous and make it fun. ^,^

How do you get motivated to workout?

How many times have you started working out and then quit? You will never reach your goals that way!Stay motivated by printing your own list and reading it daily. (loud)Let's face it. Most of us have the best intentions when we start a new workout or make the new year resolutions."This is the time that I will actually stick to body building or fitness and not quit!" or "Last time I was forced to quit because I was too busy to lift, but this time I am serious!"Everybody has an excuse about why they haven't yet achieved all their body building or fitness goals. Don't feel too bad though how many really buff and ripped people do you see on an average day while walking around the city? Maybe one or two if any!Admit it, Guys! Most of the time when you skip a workout or quit your program it is because you were downright lazy.We have all been there. You know, that dark place where it feels like nothing short of a personal invitation from Arnold will get you off the couch and into the gym. But whether you're battling workout boredom, weight loss plateaus, or injuries, you don't have to let any obstacle sidetrack your fitness. All you need is the right motivation. All you need is the right fitness buddy. All you need is the right people around you to motivate. Here are some tips:Set up a standing appointment with a friend whose fitness level matches yours and start workout together. Your mutual motivation lulls will cancel each other out. Research shows that having a dedicated workout partner makes you more likely to stick with an exercise program. If you truly don't feel like you can get out the door, just put on your workout clothes. If that feels good, throw on some sneakers. Even if you stay in the house, the clothes will give you an increased range of motion, so you'll probably put more energy into your chores.Interval-style exercise spinning classes; raises your metabolism both during and after the exercise. Steady activity Let’s say, 30 minutes on a treadmill burns about 6 to 8 calories per minute.Hope these help you to stay motivated! Good luck! :)PS: I use the fitness app FiTurtle to stay motivated and share fitness experience.

How do you find motivation to work out alone?

I'm having a hard time trying to motivate myself to go to the gym. I'm home from college for the summer, and I also work. When I was lifting weights in highschool, I had friends and coaches to help motivate, but it's so boring to work out alone. Any advice?

Why do we workout? (What is the real motivation)

Great question!  I began my training regime in response to being dumped by someone and realizing that, at the tender age of 48, I was really pretty fat (I am 5-10, and at the time weighed in at over 214 lbs). 25 weeks later, after a graduated, sensible, full-body and diet-monitored training regime, I am at 179 lbs, gaining great muscle tone and feel terrific. I've about 10 more pounds to go, but am still completely motivated to hit the gym five days a week (with additional "alternative" exercise on my "recovery" days). My original motivation? Being dumped. Gradually, the anger wore off, and I discovered that I actually love going to the gym. I found new motivation, namely, a long-term  goal to maintain and improve my health, both physically and mentally. It helps that I am often around my dad, who at the young age of 89, still walks or swims a mile a day. The best, and in my opinion, the only really good motivation is the idea that by (sensibly) working out, you're becoming a better you than you were before. I never compare myself to others.. I only compare myself to the person I could (and am) becoming.

How/where can I find the motivation to workout?

Why do you have no motivation to do something you love? Maybe you should start with figuring that question out first. Is it the starting of the activity (kind of like chemistry's 'activation potential') that you find difficult? What are some of the other healthy things you enjoy that you might be able to use as a kind of reward to get started on rewriting your cognitive exercise boot up script? Perhaps the healthiest treat you can think of  might be a way to start. Don't overlap self-punishment as a way to modify bad and build new habits either. You were going to play that favourite game but you didn't complete your fitness routine? Time instead to do that task that you've been putting off for too long because you loathe it. Gotta go... I have to go fix a toilet and I've gone overboard on my Quora quotient.

How do I motivate myself to workout at home?

I have a secret of motivation that will work with anyone .I have been studying self improvement for years.I have read dozens of self help books and I have been contemplating on the true purpose of life from a long time.According to me the real reason we don't achieve success, we don't like to work hard is hidden within our thoughts and mindset. Let me explain it a bit more clearly.Suppose you want to be super fit and healthy and you promised yourself this before going to sleep.“Tomorrow I am gonna wake at 5 am and I will go for a long run”.When you somehow woke up in the morning you started telling yourself this.“Oh man it's too dark! let me sleep for 5 more minutes then I will surely go for a long run”.After five minutes -“What will I do so early in the morning, Let me sleep a little more.”After half an hour -“Wow my bed is so cozy my blanket is so warm how could I leave these for a stupid workout in this bitter cold winter dawn.”Such thoughts and excuses makes it impossible for us to wake up and go for a work out .Now suppose instead of thinking such weak and self destructive thoughts, if you read a few quotes like this, how would it be?This is what I do, we don't fail because of circumstances ,we fail because of our own thoughts and choices.Reading such quotes will infuse positive thoughts into your mind and it will help you to change your mindset from weak to strong. You may askWhere can I find such inspiring quotes ?My answer would be Quotes Butterfly app. Why?Because I have been reading quotes from various sources from books to websites but I can say confidently that this app is best for reading quotes. Apart from this the other reason is that you can get it right now for free.I bet you will love it.Image Source- Quotes Butterfly appLink- Quotes Butterfly-Motivation,Love,Life&Family - Apps on Google Play
