Get Street Smart; a Kid's Guide to Stranger Dangers
by The Adventures of Capricorn
This film features the lovable, yet gullible, Capricorn, earth’s first alien exchange student, "Corny" as his earth friends call him, falls prey to countless tricks strangers use to kidnap children. As Corny learns how to get street smart, so do young viewers. Pop quizzes, music, and specific do’s and don’ts teach children in a fun and non-threatening way how to avoid stranger dangers.
Approximately 40 minutes long.

EDIT: No, I haven't seen it.

What movie did you watch over and over as a kid?

Robin Hood (1973 film) - Wikipedia1973? I was born in 1981. My younger brother and I had this on VHS and watched it until…well, I think the tape probably disintegrated at some point. We later watched the ever-loving heck out of Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves with Kevin Costner and Morgan Freeman. He later went to Nottingham University. I’m not entirely unsure that colouring his choice was some subconscious yearning to meet an anthropomorphic fox dressed in a green tunic, wielding a bow.The Sword in the Stone (film) - WikipediaAgain, another VHS absolutely wrecked, a movie produced before our time (1963 in this case, when our parents were younger than we were), and we loved it. Over and over again. My favourite bit was Merlin’s battle with Madame Mim. Even if it was a little scary at times.Bedknobs and Broomsticks - Wikipedia1971…sweet Baby Jane…my parents were nostalgic. It’s a film from their youth about a witch in wartime England, fighting off a Nazi invasion with magic. Filigree, apogee, pedigree, perigee…christ on a bike I feel a sense of joy and embarassment for remembering that.

I am trying to find the name of a movie I watched as a kid.?

"On Our Own" (1988) ?

Four children set out on their own after their mother's death to avoid being separated by foster care. Trying to find their Uncle Jack, they encounter adventure and danger. Before the story's touching yet humorous conclusion, they make some serious mistakes... and learn some important lessons- http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0095778/

Is it weird to watch "Kids" movies as an adult ?

Absolutely not. Though these movies might be known as "kids" movies, they can be analyzed through an adult perspective. An example of this is the Lion King; there is Nazi imagery prevalent in the movie, and a child most likely won't notice or care.
Also, movies such as toy story and lion king don't contain childish or immature humor or content, so i believe it's perfectly fine that you enjoy these movies.

What's a movie or TV show you watched as a kid that you think kids today should watch?

Jonny Quest (1964–5) One of the few shows that was just as good as when I shared it with my kid as it was when I watched it as a kid. I loved that all the mysterious happenings always had a real explanation for them. It was a little shy on female characters except for Jade.Image source: An Interview with Jonny QuestAnd The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest (1996–7) Even more fun though it did have some supernatural episodes.Image source: The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest: The Complete Second Season (MOD)

What is your favorite movie to watch with your kids?

My kids are old enough that we don't watch the same movie over and over anymore. But I just about got burned out on Labyrinth, and I love that movie. We watched it 2+ times a day for the better part of a year. However, any movie with interesting themes is fun for me to watch with the kids. Dark Crystal fits this age group too.Recently, Box Trolls and Song of the Sea were really good. The new "classics" from Disney are great - Finding Nemo (like Aaron Boutilier suggests), Lion King, and Toy Story.Anything from Studio Ghibli. The kids just watched Ponyo again last weekend, we have Totoro, and I LOVE Spirited Away. I'm sorry, I don't have one favorite movie to watch with them. But if I had to choose one to watch right now Princess Bride or Stardust. Princess Bride is just so much fun (and they like it), and Stardust was the first time I chose a movie they didn't know for movie night and they had a great time.

What to do when kid is scared after watching a scary movie?

Hi There,
If the child has a fear or phobia, the best thing for you to do is help the child overcome it no matter how silly you may think it is. For the child this may be a serious problem that they might not be able to handle by themselves. Below is a strategy you can use to help the child overcome the fear:

Give the child lots of reassurance. Constantly tell the child that they have nothing to fear, they are totally safe and everything will be fine. You can do this as often as you need to, until the child's confidence begins to improve. Providing reassurance to your child boosts their emotional strength, eventually giving the child the strength to beat their fears.

I recommend you reading the article called "Child Fears and Phobias". This article gives you practical information on how to deal with child fears and the best way to overcome them. The link is:

I can't remember this movie I watched as a kid! Please help!?

I have really random memories about this film but please help!

It was realistic (not animated) about a dragon from some sort of space like place that crashes into a family's shed. The girl and boy find him and have to help him return by finding certain things for him. This includes going to China and get some medicine, I think going to China again where the girl sings the Kookaburra song to get over a wall and going to the space place where the dragon is from and theres loads of weird monster creatures there! I also remember at the end, the dragon rewards them by taking them to an old talking tree that can grant them any wish. They wish to be able to talk to animals and go home to their little dog that tells them it doesn't like its dog food!

I know this sounds really random but I remember watching it as a kid and can't remember its name!
