Movie Thriller Involving The Sale Of A Woman

Which are Bollywood's best thriller(genre) movies ever?

Bollywood has not been good at making good suspense movies. So many times the thrillers end up being a ripoff from a foreign film to the extent that you already know the content of the movie. Though there ain’t a lot of choices my favorite suspense movies are as follows :1. Jewel thief: Hands down the best Bollywood suspense movie I have ever seen is Jewel thief. Be it the impeccable performance from the cast or the scenic backdrop of Sikkim, everything fell into place. At no point, I could guess the suspense. The incredible music was icing on the cake. The movie is a timeless classic.2. Kahaani: After a long dearth of ripoffs there came a mainstream movie which felt original and equally entertaining. The ensemble star cast of Vidya, Nawazuddin, Parambrata, and Calcutta make it so believable. The movie is pure delight. Not to be missed.3. Manorama Six feet under: This lesser promoted movie at the time had all the ingredient for a good suspense thriller - an unknown terrain, lesser-known (well not very active in the recent times ) cast and totally unexpected story line. The small town worked like a charm and so does the Abhay Deol but the real hero was the good story line. Must watch.4. Ugly: This one is my personal favorite from all the movies that Anurag Kashyap has directed. The movie is more philosophical than adventurous. The movie deals with the Ugly side of the human nature amid a kidnapping backdrop. Like most of Anurag’s movies, the cast did a commendable job but watching Ronit Roy was the real deal. Totally worth it.5. Ittefaq (1969) : Back in the days when Yash Chopra used to direct a diverse variety of movies. This is one of the rare Hindi movie with no songs and captivating enough despite being shot in a limited area (one house for most of the time). Movie rode of the star power of Rajesh Khanna and superb performance by Nanda. After a very long time after I had watched the movie I came to know that this movie was a remake of British movie Signpost to murder.Peace

For psychological thriller and crime novel marketing, who has an advantage, men or women?

Female authors might also use female pen names. Ruth Rendell CBE also wrote under the name Barbara Vine, and I personally consider her the greatest writer of psychological police procedurals. I believe she used the pseudonym when A Dark Adapted Eye was much grittier and darker than her earlier work. I suspect that her success was much more attributable to the quality and intensity of her writing than to her gender.Conversely, Agatha Christie, an indisputable master in the field of detective fiction, also wrote six romance novels as Mary Westmacott. I’m quite sure Paula Hawkins and Gillian Flynn would prefer to be judged by the merits of their writing than for their gender as well. While I believe it is true that adult women read more psychological thrillers and crime novels than adult men, it is also true that adult women read more fiction, across the board, than adult men. They are a much better target audience, although it should be noted that women read books by men and vice versa. I don’t actually think this has much to do with advantage or pen names as it does to do with the quality of these authors written works.

What would it take to surpass Michael Jackson’s Thriller album?

I assume you’re talking about in terms of sales, right?OK, first, the internet would have to disappear. Adele notwithstanding, there are not going to be too many more 10M sellers or even 5M sellers as long as streaming and general piracy remain commonplace. Taylor Swift is the only person in the last two years to sell a mere 2M records.Secondly, it would have to be an album that reels off a ton of hit singles. It would have to be something in the fashion of Boston’s 1st, Rumors, Hotel California, or Purple Rain where four or five songs achieved total saturation on the radio.Thirdly, it would have to attract a huge cross sectional audience; Women ages 13–25 are the most loyal musical consumers and they’ve powered the likes of Adele, Swift, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, et al. But if we’re going to talk about competing with Thriller, then you’ve got to go beyond that cross-section. It would have to be able to attract boomers.Adele has sold 10 million albums twice in a row by having a super-dedicated audience that traverses generations.I believe that the last part is how Adele sold 10M+ twice in a row. She appeals to women (and gay men) of all age groups. Your grandmother probably owns an Adele cd as does your 10-year old neice. But the getting-rid-of-the-internet-thing is the biggest part of it here….:)
