Movie Topic What Should I Make My Movie About

Movie Topics to Debate?

what the bleep do we know? That movie threw all pseudo scientific junk and kept on misleading the audience.

OSCARS

Did slumdog millionaire deserve an oscar? When there were better movies like the dark knight and the reader. Did Titanic really deserve 11 oscars? Why are the best directors like stanley kubrick never given the recognition they deserve by oscars? Why do the more serious movie makers give higher importance to Cannes film festival and others than the oscars?

Does it mean that oscars are all commercial? And doesn't recognize more meaningful, honest and contemporary cinema?

Are Indies the order of the day? Movies like In bruges, Once, Goodbye Lennin and so many other Indies are ruling the IMDB charts and most big budget hollywood blockbusters are never given importance by critics or serious movie goers. So are Indies the new "in-thing"?]

Terminator Paradox

Who was born earlier: John Connor or his dad? How did John Connor send his dad back in time to impregnate his mom if he wasn't even born till then? The movie gets stuck in a closed time loop and makes no logical sense.

What is a good topic for a movie script?

Do what Hollywood does - mash things together. Take two genres of movies you like and mash them together. Like Aliens? Like Cowboys? Mash them together and you get aliens in the Old West. Like Superheroes? Like Space Opera? Mash them together and you get a superhero that gets his powers from Outer Space.

(both of these ideas are coming out this summer, BTW)

List all the genres you like, and pick a pair at random and see if an idea pops into your head.

If you could make a big budget movie on any topic (book, comic book, historical event, fairy tale, remake of previous movie, etc.), what would you pick?

Man, this would be another dream of mine. To remake one of my favorite movies. Though my pick my not be the most popular it would have to be…A remake of ‘The Punisher 1989’ film-I loved this movie. You know for all of it’s flaws it was a great Comic/Vigilante/1980’s action flick. I thought that Doph did a very good job as the Punisher and I loved the supporting actors as well. I thought that the movie was way ahead of it’s time. And this movie in my opinion was one of the best/last truly great vigilante movies of it’s time. It’s truly amazing what they accomplished with this film since they only had a 9 million budget. However the movie has not aged well from the bad way the film negatives were handled it is very poor quality even on Blu ray. And this movie deserves a remake!I would start by making this film have the feel of an 8o’s action movie. I would also base the movie in the 80’s, as well. I would change certain aspects of the film but keep others the same. I would make sure to keep the dark and gritty aspect of the original in my remake. I would change parts of the story and add several things to it but make sure to do the 1989 film the ultimate justice. I would finale give this movie the big budget it deserved. This is the best Punisher movie hands down and I rank it up there with the 2017 TV show.

If you had $100 million to make a movie, what would you make?

If someone came along tomorrow and gave me £20,000,000 to make whatever film I want, I’d love to adapt She Came to Stay (original French title L’Invitée) by Simone de Beauvoir. It’s a fantastic story partly based on the real relationship between Beauvoir and Sartre. An opportunity to recreate that bohemian culture in Paris just before the start of the Second World War would be awesome on it’s own.But the tragic romance of the story, and the existentialist themes, coupled with this magical setting, if done well, could make an absolutely beautiful film. Maybe I could convince Marion Cotillard to play the lead.If I couldn’t make this film, I’d love to make a film exploring Borderline Personality Disorder, or maybe just a film exploring the reality of mental health disorders in general. Most cinematic depictions of these disorders (when they’re not being grossly offensive) always feel far too glossy and romanticised.A story depicting someone overcoming BPD or any other disorder would, I feel, be interesting in it’s own right. But it would also be a great opportunity to help people understand these illnesses better.

Is the movie juno a "chick flick"?

not really i'm a guy and i rented it the other day

What to include in a movie review??

Well I would first write down the basic ideas of the film, who starred in it, the storyline, and your opinion of the film. That will put all the subjects you want to include right in front of you so you don't leave out anything.
It's your review so write what you would find interesting and informative if you were wanting information on a film.
For an introduction, I would give an outline to the film. Follow that by writing about the characters, the cast, the settings, etc. Then end by giving your opinion of the film. (Or you could always give your opinion of each topic as you go. It's your call...)

I've had to write countless movie reviews and so I know how difficult it can sometimes be. Good Luck!

What are the best topics on which a short film can be made?

There is nothing called as best topics, as a filmmaker you need to decide which topic is very familiar for you or in which area you are good at.As a filmmaker i would suggest a horror genres because you can have minimum number of actors or a single actor, single location. With good background music, sound effects and some disturbing visuals you can nail the audience. Some of topics that I can think of are:Humanity. No one born a racist.LoveSocial mediaLoyalty of the DogPsychoEducation systemChild marriageSafety of womenHaunted HouseBlind peopleAny persons life story that is not usually not shown in films but important to our survival, for example barber, truck driver, traffic police, street sweepers etcLove of motherMurder mysteryDepressionLifeHuman raceAI and automationAliensSurrogacyPS : here is our short film, do check it out.
