My 18month Old Boy Crosses His Index Finger

My 4 month old son seems to be cross eyed?

Its not normal. My son has it, its a lazy eye. One of his eyes work normal, the other goes a little cross eyed.
Take him to the specialist where you will get some exercises to do with him, or even a patch over the good eye to get the lazy eye to stop being so lazy :)
Its not an urgent matter, just get onto it as soon as you can
- will add a pic, let me know it this is what you mean...... (give me a minute)

Not the best shot of the eyes, but in alot of pics, they look alot worse! Just cant find them

*your welcome. It is good to get him checked. Most are ok and fix them self, but others do go blind. My FIL had one as a little boy, and its fine now. Better to be safe though :)
best of luck

What would you do if you found your 12 year-old daughter giving oral to someone her own age?

It wasn't my daughter, but a similar situation. At the time my son oldest was about 10 and my daughter was 8. My neighbor's grandkids were over playing (boy 11 & girl 10). They had been playing with Legos and dolls in my son's room.Suddenly my daughter runs out of the room and slams the door.“GROSS,” she screams.“What is happening, Ms.”“They are being gross. Neighbor Girl pulled Big Brother into the closet and closed the door behind them.”“Ok, let me check this out.”I walk into the room and see the neighbor boy building something with Legos. No one else is in the room so I open the closet. As I expected the neighbor girl and my oldest are in the closet. What I didn't expect was to see his pants down and her playing with him.I immediately sent her home and told her you tell her mom I needed to talk to her. Both neighbor kids left.I then had my son pull up his pants and pulled him out of the room. I sat down and talked to him about what happened. We discussed his feelings, personal space, his body and the differences between appropriate and inappropriate touching. Through it all, I attempted to make it clear that I was not judging him and that I wasn't mad at him. I explained that if anyone, child or adult, ever touched him in an uncomfortable way he should let me, his mother, or another adult he trusts know…especially if they threaten to harm us if he tells us.I told him I love him and gave him a hug. Then I went to talk to the mother about her child's actions. Of course by then her son had already told her what his sister had done. She was mortified and extremely apologetic. She too needed to have a talk with her kids about those things.I think an important point is not to judge the child. They are exploring and learning. Help foster that learning in a healthy manner with an open and honest conversation.Show them you love them and that they can trust you. Take the opportunity to teach your child.

Is anyone skipping TTC to avoid a December birthday?

I'm 6dpo (would be due end of November if I got pregnant this cycle).

I know there are lots of opinions on Christmas birthdays and I'd hate to miss out on a chance to concievel. And if I tried a month later, but had the baby early I would end up with a Christmas baby anyway. It seems silly to wait, but I'm kind of tempted.

What are you guys planning?

We're getting my husband tested in case this cycle doesn't work out and so that I'll have time to decide to skip my Clomid if he's got an issue and give him time to improve his diet, take vitamins etc and see if it improves. So if his results aren't good, I'll be skipping anyway, but if he's ok, we'll be trying with a potential late december due date.

What can I do to help my son with autism stop biting his hand?

This has recently become a pressing problem and his hands do not look good. His ped wants him on medicine. In all honesty for now I did start the meds because he is also hitting children at school, but I really want to figure out a way to solve this behavior and get him off of medication. I want to try theanine because it works great for my anxiety, my sleep and my RLS. Today I went to buy it in a more kid friendly form.

He does not get outside aba right now because of funding issues and because my almost three year old (a baby at that time) made it impossible.

I feel like he could change this behavior with a little more help in regulating his emotions like his anger and anxiety. For me theanine has changed my life and I have been using it for more than a year now.

What brand of baby food pouches do you prefer?

When it comes to baby food- Remember the thumb rule- Avoid any sort of packaged food, especially the one with preservatives. My angel is now a 2-year-old, and till today I have not given her any sort of packaged food. Most of the pouches contain ingredients which should be ideally consumed fresh - like Milk, Vegetable, Fruits etc. Apart from that it also contains many preservatives too.You can keep this with you only when you are travelling. These are like emergency food. But not at all recommended for regular daily use.The first best food for babies is MOTHER’s MILK nothing better than that. But once your child crosses 6 months it is not sufficient for his/her growth and hence cereals, vegetables and fruits need to be added gradually into their diet. But, as I said not the packaged/processed one.You should trust your own hand and cooking- don't be dependent on any brands/pouches/packaged foods. Many claims to be organic and preservative free, but difficult to trust because it is hard to preserve foods in packets without any industrial processing. Here are a couple of recipes which you can try at home:1. Health Mix Powder Porridge with Dry Fruits: Try this homemade health mix powder for your babies. Very health & tasty. Its a filling meal for the babies and replaces all sorts of packaged food powders/instant cereal mix.2. Finger Millet Porridge/Malt: Ragi/Finger millet is rich in calcium. Instead of popping a pill/giving tonic, you can as well substitute that with this malt. This is the best diet for growing babies, kids and even adults (specially women). - It is also a rich source of fiber and helps lower cholesterol level. - Finger Millet is also a best food for weight control, diabetes and a cooling the body. With its cost-effectiveness, finger millet is definitely a healthy food. Speak to your granny and am sure she will come up with more suggestions!NOTE: Always consult your pediatrician before introducing new foods.
