My All-in-one Computer Only Has Hdmi Input How To Stream To Tv

How can I convert my computer monitor into a regular streaming TV?

How can I convert my computer monitor into a regular streaming TV?This question is a bit confusing. Are you asking how to use your monitor as a TV, connected to your cable or dish television (not necessarily what is considered as “streaming”), or are you talking about running a streaming device on your computer monitor, such as Roku, Firestick, or Chromecast? In the first instance, you can buy a card for your computer (not a laptop, but a desktop with the correct PCIe expansion port) which hooks up into your cable and displays the actual television channel of your choice. I used to have one of these, and I could watch TV in a small window while doing other work. Most cards you find don’t have an HDMI input, though, so connecting to a cable box will require a coaxial or RCA cable.Shown is just one example that does have HDMI in and out.Amazon.com: Hauppauge Colossus 2 PCI Express Internal 1080p HD-PVR: Computers & AccessoriesStreaming is easier. Most modern monitors have an HDMI input, and connecting a streaming device to it is just like connecting to an HDMI TV. But, since this doesn’t go through the PC, you won’t be able to watch it while working on the computer. In fact, you’ll likely have to have the computer disconnected from the monitor. Another issue is sound. HDMI carries the sound signal to the monitor, but some monitors don’t have sound, or the volume and quality is extremely poor. Some streaming devices might have RCA stereo jacks, but they may be disable when using HDMI. I have a Roku with a headphone jack in the remote, but this isn’t a common feature. If you do buy a PC card with the HDMI in and out, you could connect your streaming device to it, and run the video through the computer. This would allow you to use the computer while watching in a reduced size window. The biggest issue with trying to use a PC tuner card is that laptops and all in ones don’t have expansion ports, and I haven’t been able to find any docking stations with hdmi in and out. The HDMI ports on laptops are strictly output, with no means of input, other than USB.

How to connect two computers via hdmi?

You can't do that. Computers don't have HDMI-in, just out.

Can I use my Fire TV Stick to stream content on my computer instead of the TV?

Yes, with a caveat. The firestick is a mini computer, it can be plugged into any HDMI enabled input. So the easy way is to plug it into an HDMI monitor. If you want it to be viewed in a window on your desktop, you will need a video capture device.HornetTek 1080P / 60FPS HDMI to USB 3.0 Video Game Capture Devicehttps://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01DRWCOGA/Are you a human? These devices will translate the HDMI input into a video stream on your desktop, usually using a video playing software native with your OS or with one packaged with the device.

How do I record through hdmi input on my pc?

I have a Dell XPS One 2710 that has both hdmi input and hdmi output ports. Is there any software that I could use to record something (say my xbox 360) through the hdmi input on my computer? My computer can be found here: http://www.amazon.com/Dell-XPSo27-6476BK...

How do you connect laptop computer to TV?

You need to look for certain ports on the sides of your laptop

Dual link DVI and S-Video in that picture, you should have one.

Best of all is the HDMI out

Seen in that picture.

VGA port here:

Now in order from best to worst

HDMI 720P (USB 3.0 promises 1080P output but we'll see)
DVI out 720i
S-Video 560i
VGA 280i

Now, look at your TV, if you can Spot HDMI then bam use that, if the only thing you see is S-Video then use that, VGA is really outdated so check to make sure your 2007 laptop has it because 2007 is a few years past VGA out.

Now, the only thing you need to do now is NOT overpay for a 10$ HDMI cable or if you need to use S-Video then those are 10-15$ on eBay.com

And for every one else, from experience, Sony gives the best results, theirs screens are not as good as samsung but the electronics they build into their TV's are completely unmatched when it comes to things like this.

Using a computer monitor as a T.V?

I was thinking of getting a new T.V because mine is outdated and does not fit stuff well. I try adjusting the screen settings, but it only does so much. I was looking at newer T.V's, which are pretty pricey. However my friend told me about using a computer monitor as a T.V.
Where would be a good place to start?

Can I connect a desktop PC with HDMI out to an all-in-one PC with a DB-9 serial and 1394 port to use all-in-one as a monitor?

You can, but that’s horrible! (Even if it’s a nice implementation of firewire, you’re not going to get a data rate like HDMI in there, even if someone already wrote the program to try it anyhow…maybe fine for reading and spreadsheets.) Just network the machines (surely they both have 1000BaseT?) and pick from many ways of adding displays, from extending the Windows Desktop to using VLC.Alternately of course, you can have a little closer look at that AiO to see what internal connector is used and whether you can efficiently appropriate it when you need to watch panopticon video or run flight (or Gundam) simulators.
