My Baby Was Sitting On Her Changing Table Yesterday When She Fell Back And Hit Her Head On The Side

Has anyone else accidentally hurt their baby?

Yes, I'm sure everyones done it.
I came around a corner too quick with my second daughter and whapped her head on the corner.
My husband was throwing the baby up and catching her (she was a bit older at this time) and threw her into the ceiling. Luckily we had those soft drop ceilings and she was more confused than hurt. No crying.
I can't count all the times that I've taken the kids out of the car and bonked their heads on the door.
Go to take them out of the infant car seats and smack their heads on the handle. And MANY more.
Dear, accidents happen. To everyone. Anyone who says otherwise is lying.
Mommies have a gift. We can kiss and hug away the boo boos and the kids don't hold it against us.
It happens to us all. Don't beat yourself up too much.

My baby fell of the changing table HELP ME PLEASE!?

First, calm down mommy.
You said this happened yesterday- you would know by now if anything was wrong.

Just take it as a learning experience and don't leave your baby alone on the high surface again.
Relax, you aren't the only one to have done this.
Babies are more resilient than we give them credit for.

EDIT: I just tried to email you but it said that your email hasn't been verified, so this is what I wrote to you:

Sweetie, it is just standeard procedure for CPS to be called after a fall, and it is nothing personal. Don't fret about this, you seem to think that there is something wrong, so go and see your doctor.
Think about it this way.
Imagine you are a child that has had countless falls and no-one was phoned about it- you could end up dead because you have been ignored by CPS, that's the only reason procedures like this are in force.

You have nothing to fear because you didn't do this deliberately. It WAS an accident, so no charges can be pressed against you.
Relax, and see your doctor :)

All the best to you and your little one.

My baby hit her head and is acting very weird?

If your child loses consciousness after a fall, even if it's only for a few seconds, you should take her to the doctor. She'll most likely be fine, but we like to examine these kids more carefully. Also, call the doctor immediately if:

* There's a lot of bleeding. Because of all the blood vessels in the scalp, cuts on the head can bleed quite a bit and often need stitches.

* The bump is large or has a soft feel to it. (If so, the doctor may want to see her.)

* There's clear fluid coming from her ears or nose.

* She has severe or persistent vomiting. (Nausea, and vomiting once, can be normal.)

* She's excessively sleepy. Being groggy after a head bump is common and fine, but if it's hard to wake her or she doesn't perk up after a brief nap, that's not okay.

* She has severe pain. Bumps to the head hurt, of course, but if your child has so much pain that she's inconsolable, it's not normal.

* She feels dizzy or weak, or has trouble walking, talking, or seeing. Also be alert for changes in behavior, like unusual irritability.

If your baby is being unusually unresponsive, take her to the ER or doctor ASAP!!!

3 1/2 month baby fell off the couch about 1 to 1 1/2 feet high?

Im 17 and Yesterday I was babysittin my 3 1/2 month old niece and she fell off the couch. She cried for like 5 minutes but she was fine afterwards. She wasnt very happy though but who could be . But she was eating and looking around normally. She was sleepy but she was tired before it happened. It sucked because i was sittin on the couch with her to keep it from happening and then i thought i heard my brother wake up so i turned to see and she fell off and hit her head. Its the worst feeling Ive ever had. I was so scared admitting it but i knew i needed to tell my sister (her mom) to make sure everything was alright. I just hope she dont have a bump on her head or a headache today. Ive never felt so bad. I watch her all the time and I thought I was doing good until this happened. I didnt get any sleep last nite and i prob woke my sister up 100 times checking on her. Will she be alright? Will there be and bumps? Or will she have a bad headache?

My baby hit the marble floor!?!?!??!?

My daughter is 7 months old...we just put our new christmas tree up..and I made the most stupidest mistake ever. I put my daughter on a rug in front of the tree to take pictures....I don't know why I wasn't thinking straight...because she sits okay but sometimes she falls back. Anyways I was snapping pics...and she fell back..and hit her head on the marble floor. I heard a small thump..and she didn't cry too hard...but I'm worried out of my mind. She seems okay..and everything seems fine....but should I be worried and take her to the clinic asap? Her appt is a week from now....I'm just worried that something might happen? I watch so much forensic files and I can't get this one episode out of my mind. A baby fell from a chair onto the kitchen floor...they took the baby to the hospital and everything was fine...then a couple days later the baby died from some kind of head trauma? The police thought the parents killed the baby...but at the end they found the truth.

ANYWAYS...I'm worried....any advice or comforting words? Have any of your moms experienced this?

My 3 yr old hit his head (his left temple) on the corner of a tableshould i take him to the dr?

I have two very energetic boys myself so I know what you are going through. If I had to take my kids every time they bumped their heads I would have lived in the hospital! The nurses always told me if they bump their head minorly always keep an eye on them, keep them up for 4 hours after wards, if they cry for a few seconds/minutes then are fine then it is usually just a minor bump. If they start throwing up that is a sign that something else is going on and they have to go to the doctor. However if you are unsure I would go to the doctor to be sure, he is your son and you know him better than anyone.

Should I be worried if my cat ran into the wall and hit her head?

It depends on how hard she hit, how old she is (sorry for using a female pronoun; currently I have females who own me). My little one is crazy, she fell off the roof of the house and toolshed. She just sat up, shook her head, mumbling to herself (she's a talker) and I went outside to see if she was ok. I saw this from the window where I usually sit at.She was more mad at herself for not being careful I think. I watched her (I let her in for the rest of the day),she was fine.I would watch for 24 hours to see if any abnormal actions occur. Look at her eyes to check occasionally her pupils are dialated, any blood coming from ANYWHERE, appetite normal, shaking of head more, physical appearance normal, etc. If all normal for 2 days it's probably alright. If worried, go to the vet absolutely. I'm not a vet, and I can't actually see your cat. But after having 7, I found they are fairly used to bumping into things. Now if the cat is over 10 years old, I would be more cautious and get to a vet at the FIRST anomaly. Older cats aren't as resilient as younger. A check out would be best.
