My Beats By Dre Solo Monster Speakers Dont Work At The Same Time

How can a person fix their Beats headphones if one side does not work?

I’ve repaired headphones, and Beats is just a brand name. It depends on whether your phones are driven by wire or they’re wireless. If they’re wired…(Were they dropped, causing the issue? I would begin by looking for evidence like dents, stretching or other physical damage that could explain resulting internal breakage.)You could (after ensuring they are not plugged in) begin by opening and examining the 3.5 mm or 1/4″ plug for cracks. If they are wireless, skip this step. Also, if the plug cannot be opened (is a molded-on type), the entire wiring may need replacement from the other end, and soldering may be required. Also, you can carefully disassemble the ear cup of the side that doesn't work and look for a broken wire, a cracked mini-circuit card, or a disconnected wiring connector. Usually this requires a jeweler’s Phillips-head screwdriver or an Allen key (metric sizes are more commonly used for audio devices, as most of them are made in Asia).Obviously, putting a wiring connector back on its terminal is easy (just gently push it onto the post like the other one), but if a wired solder point is broken, that’s more involved (you will need a soldering iron and knowledge of how to re-solder a wire connection). When I did electronics repair full-time, if a customer saved me time by troubleshooting the problems, that saved them money for labor. If the problem resulted from overdriving the headphones with too much power, the repair will also be more involved. You may need to replace a whole driver (or both of them). If the replacement parts cost more than new headphones, then buying a new pair may be your better option.Another part of wireless headphones that you could inspect and look for damage or a connection issue is in the battery and power wiring. If each side has its own battery, first examine the power circuit in the good side and then ensure that the malfunctioning side appears identical. If a wire sends battery power to the second side, it could be broken. If the batteries are on both sides, maybe you have low or dead batteries on one side, or the one battery may be improperly installed (in which case removing and re-seating it may be the fix).If the problem is in a wireless system, it’s rarely the sort of issue that a) a non-expert user can fix, and b) rarely would only one side being out result. I would take such headphones to an authorized repair location.Good luck; thanks for the A2A.

Do the beats by dr dre solo headphones break easily?

I've never actually tried them because they're a ridiculous price even if they were durable and had THE BEST sound quality. But they are usually only ever mentioned here when they do break and the user finds out the hard way that customer service and support are non-existant. I'd say pass. There are SO many great ones out there made by companies who make a great product and are there to back them in the event of whatever. I also recommend that you pass on Skullcandy.

Beats by dre solo hurting ears?

If good COMFORTABILITY and REAL quality are important for you, please go for REPUTABLE brands only such as B&W, Sennheiser (most affordable), Shure, Grado, Denon, AKG, Audio-Technica, Etymotic or Beyerdynamic. Things like V-Moda, Klipsch, Sony, Panasonic, JVC and Philips are ONLY "okay-ish" indeed. Please do NOT fall a victim to FASHION ACCESSORIES by buying Sol/Republic/Revolution, Noontec Zoro's, Benetton, a-jays, iFrogz, Marley, Fanny Wang, Razer, Karl Kani, WESC, Turtle, JH, Dr.Dre/Beats/Solo, Ludacris/Soul, Koss, Skullcandy, Lady GaGa, Skullcrushers, Monsters nor Bose, because they are ALL seriously overhyped and overpriced "fashion blingbling gimmicks" with a very poor durability and sound quality, NOTHING else (and those who try to claim they are good do NOT know ANYTHING about QUALITY anyway!), BE THEM FAKE OR NOT! Also, please DO NOT GO for overly thumping bass which distorts EVERYTHING, focus on good audio quality OVERALL instead.

Are Beats by Dre headphones worth buying?

Worth it if you want the social status that comes with them, which is polarizing and heavy on identity signaling, relative to other headphones. If you think they look good, which it sounds like you do, and you like the idea of how other people would view you, as the kind of person who buys and wears Beats headphones, then they're worth it.As an audio product alone, they are not the best headphone for the money. Beats have a hyped low-end with a steep rolloff, and a bigger dip in the upper frequencies. Not the most accurate headphone, by design. Here are some illustrative charts:You can do your own comparisons here: http://www.headphone.com/pages/b...This is not to say that Beats are not a good headphone. They are definitely a good sounding headphone. But Beats is ultimately a marketing company, not a headphone design company. The original technology came from Monster (see: Beat By Dre: The Exclusive Inside Story of How Monster Lost the World), who themselves are really an accessories/marketing company known for overpriced cables, not speakers or headphones.Beats headphones are good enough for their market. There would be no sense in them investing lots of resources in additional engineering to yield marginal improvements that their market doesn't care about. The reality is that most of the sonic differences in headphones at this level are pointless for people that are not working on music production or extreme audiophiles in a pristine listening environment. This is not what Beats is trying to be. They're a mass-market headphone that people can take with them.By comparison, there are many engineering companies that have been refining headphone designs for sonic performance, across a spectrum of price points, for decades, e.g. AKG, Beyerdynamic, Sennheiser, just to name a few.If audio performance per dollar is the core metric, Beats are not the best option. Buy them if you value the other qualities they bring to the table.

Which is better: JBL or Beats by Dr. Dre?

If looks are important to you, I'd suggest you go in for the Beats by Dr. Dre. And here's why. Beats, look nice. That's about the only thing that's nice about them. The sound quality they give is that of headphones that are at least a thousand rupees cheaper. They're just a marketing brand. And as pointed out in the earlier answers, JBL make good headphones. But they're not as good as their speakers.I'd suggest you look at the Audio Technica M series. They're amazing headphones which have a flat frequency because they're studio monitors used for music editing, mixing and product. But they perform amazing in terms listening too. And they sound phenomenal! The flat frequency is so that the user is able to listen to every detail perfectly. They also have a ton of good listening headphones too. If you're a bass head, check out their solid bass line. I'd definitely recommend Audio Technica anyday. They sound phenomenal. For the sound you get from them, They are light on your wallet too. I've also used Sennheiser headphones. They're equally good but they have a higher bass than the Audio Technicas. And the sound gets a little distorted at high volumes. Whereas the Audio Technica headphones are clear throughout. I will have to point out that, Sennheiser headphones are equally good. They're louder. I am not saying the Audio Technica headphones are better. Both are amazing headphones that sound phenomenal. As a musician, I would prefer a flatter frequency range. Which is why I may sound biased. But, I assure you, I'm not. I'm a fan of both of them. I own both and they both surprise me everytime. Hope this helps.

Beats Solo vs Beats Solo HD?

Beats Solo by Dr. Dre On-Ear Headphones are by far the best headphones I've ever had. I travel a lot and tried 3 other kind and brand of headphones hoping to get what I expected when flying on a plane and listen to my music and movies on my iPod Touch. Well, I first purchased the JBL Ref 610, since I have some issues on carrying cables over me and these are bluetooth which I loved. The sound was nice, obviously they did not have any noise cancelling feature but I didn't mind then since my
intention was to get rid of cables... time passed and changed my mind, I really needed at least a little bit of noise cancelling so I went back to headphones with cable.

Beats Solo HD or Beats Mixr?

PLEASE DO NOT GIVE IN TO THE FASHION PRESSURE!

If REAL quality is an issue, please go for REPUTABLE brands only such as B&W, Sennheiser (most affordable), Shure, Grado, Denon, AKG, Audio-Technica, Etymotic or Beyerdynamic. Please teach your brother the basics of WHAT REAL QUALITY IS.

Does sound quality from headphones deteriorate over time?

Skullcandy is NOT a very good brand anyway, that's why their sound deteriorate!

If REAL quality is an issue, you should stick to REPUTABLE brands only such as B&W, Sennheiser (most affordable), Shure, Grado, Denon, AKG, Audio-Technica (NOT to be mixed with Technic which is utter rubbish as well!), Etymotic or Beyerdynamic. Things like V-Moda, Klipsch, Sony, Panasonic, JVC and Philips are ONLY "okay-ish" indeed. Please do NOT fall a victim to FASHION ACCESSORIES by buying Boombox, Ministry of Sound, Sol/Republic/Revolution, Noontec Zoro's, Benetton, a-jays, iFrogz, Marley, Fanny Wang, Razer, Karl Kani, WESC, Turtle, JH, Dr.Dre/Beats/Solo, Ludacris/Soul, Koss, Skullcandy, Lady GaGa, Skullcrushers, Monsters nor Bose, because they are ALL seriously overhyped and overpriced "fashion blingbling gimmicks" with a very poor durability and sound quality, NOTHING else (and those who try to claim they are good do NOT know ANYTHING about QUALITY anyway!), BE THEM FAKE OR NOT!

Also, please do NOT focus on the thumping bass that just distorts everything else, instead go for GOOD audio quality IN GENERAL.
