My Body Becomes Swollen And Itchy Once I Use Alergy Medicine It Will Go Away And Later It Will

Can you get a sore/ itchy throat when you have allergies?

its spring and my throat is a little bit itchy....if you have allergies, can you have an itchy throat and no runny nose (mines not running)........my throat isn't severely itchy but im worried about the swine flu!!!!!! could an itchy throat mean the SWINE FLU!!???? 0_0!

Can allergies cause earwax to build up?

Absolutely. Airborne allergies (and to a certain degree certain food allergies) cause the body to want to protect itself. Mucous production, rhinitis, watery eyes, and wax (cerumen) production are all ways the body seeks to protect the mucous linings and other vulnerable areas. The hard part is that since cerumen is not made in response to histamine, the anti-histamines that are typically taken to control allergic rhinitis, hives, sinus congestion, etc are ineffective at controlling wax production. The only way to reduce/eliminate/limit wax production is to do a desensitization protocol (shots or sublingual drops) to reduce the body's response to the allergen AND to attempt to watch out for foods that might add to their allergic responses. I recommend my patients go through elimination of dairy products and wheat to see if that reduces their allergic load.

When will the pollen season end?

I can help with this! One year pollen was just terrible here, and my eyes puffed completely shut - I don't have to tell you about the pain and itching - I was almost hysterical.. I saw the doctor and he recommended anti-histamine pills for the rest of my days.. no thanks.. those pills have side effects - for one thing they dry out my eyes and nose, which just feels terrible..
So, I did some reading and what I learned helped a LOT..I've never had a problem since..
1) our immune system normally is able to subdue an allergy to anything.. when we have an allergic reaction, that means that the allergen is overwhelming the immune system (could be your immunity is poor right now, or could be that the pollen is just really high - either way, your immune system can't keep up). Vitamin C is an immune booster - says so right on the bottle. :-) During allergy season, or whenever you have an allergic reaction, take extra vitamin C - this is extremely safe - we can't store vitamin C - if you take too much (honestly, very hard to do), you just pee it out.. it literally cannot build up in the body. The down side of this is that we need to take it several times during the day - not just once at breakfast.. try taking 2 grams with meals (vitamin C sometimes upsets an empty stomach).. you will feel a difference in HOURS.. honestly this works..
2) when we are having an allergic reaction, our bodies make histamines, which is why we are told to take anti-histamines. The histamines are made in the mucus membranes of the body - eyes, nose, gut.. this is why we get itchy eyes, runny nose etc.. the great thing about this is that you can literally wash out the histamine.. splash your eyes with cold water as often as you like - the cold feels great, because it is stopping the inflammation, and the water rinses out the histamine.
hope this helps.

Will the swelling from a bee sting last longer than one day?

Each individual is different. Some people have no reaction to stings, while others become hospitalized due to anaphylaxis. In addition to individual responses, not all stings are equal. When a bee stings, the barbed stinger remains in the skin while the venom sac pulsates and releases more venom into the skin. Quick and proper removal of the stinger (by scraping it out, never pinching/pulling it out) reduces venom release. Also, sometimes the stinger gets caught in the clothing thus only a minimal sting/venom load is delivered.Location can vary the amount of swelling. Fingers and faces swell more than arms/torso.Personally, I have also noticed varied results. I have had stings on the arm that never swelled, and then I’ve been stung in the face and lost nearly a week of work due to swelling. I’ve had weak finger stings through gloves that hardly turned red, and others resulted in notable swelling. Personally, I find that swelling worsens throughout the first 36 hours, and then decreases quickly. I like to use essential oils to provide some relief.I hope this answered your question!

Why does my bee or wasp sting from almost a week ago still itch?

Why Your Wasp Sting Still Itches!Wasp stings are never a great experience and although the pills, creams and potions in your local pharmacy will reduce swelling, nothing seems to get rid of that itch.Antihistamine creams can be useful, but every person reacts slightly differently to a specific insect bite or sting. Some people show no signs of reaction, while other can die from a single sting! But it’s not all about the wasps venom. Foreign proteins injected into the skin by other insects have a similar effect. The only good remedy we have used for both horsefly bites and wasp/hornet stings is an extraction device. We use an Aspivenin.I've used it on my kids and on customers and its never let me down. Swelling at the site of a sting or bite quickly eases if the Aspivenin is used quickly.I keep mine in the front of the vehicle so it is always close to hand.Over many years we tried oodles of things to get rid the itch you describe and this device is possibly your best bet.Scratching is the worst thing you can do, because it regularly causes scarring! the itching should not cause alarm and usually subsides within a week.If the skin irritation you experience continues into a third week or looks like it is becoming infected then you must get to your doctor for a professional examination.Simon Berenyi - WaspKill UK - Bristol Pest Control

I just ate some pecans and now I'm itching and swelling rapidly, what could be wrong?

sounds like you have developed an allergy to nuts...seek medical attention immediately...you can stop breathing because the inside of you body swells just like the outside.

Allergic to jackfruit?

What is jackfruit? We don't have it in the U.S. Do other raw fruits or vegetables bother you? Your reaction sounds like oral allergy syndrome. Are you allergic to any pollen? I used to be allergic to nearly all raw fruits and vegetables. After being on allergy desensitation shots for five years for my pollen allergies, my allergy to raw fruits and vegetables went away.
I don't know if the cure the next person posted will work for you. I, personally, am allergic to his cure.
