Bought a new pair of sperrys.. scratches?
Yes there is! I personally do not use a leather protector, but they are out there, but journeys, and I am sure other stores sell is as well, sells this leather balsam. I use it every once in awhile when my Sperry's look really scratched or dirty and you just rub it on and it removes scratches, discoloration, and any other marks and makes them look cleaner as well. It is also not very expensive, only about $10.
How to get scraches out of sperrys ?
Leather protector protects the leather from elemental factors, such as water or salt damage. If you scuff them against something, they are still going to show those marks. That said, your best way to remove or reduce the appearance of scratches would be with some kind of leather balm, or saddle soap. There are a few specific products that I use for my shoes, whether they're Sperry's, dress shoes, or other casual leather shoes: Johnston & Murphy leather balm, Kiwi saddle soap, and/or L.L. Bean Boot protector. The oils in these products will moisten and rejuvenate the leather and make the scratches less noticeable.
My brand new sperrys got scratches on them and I can't fix it?
I just bought these sperrys and now they have all these scratches on them and the coloring is different and I don't know what to do to fix it, they look really weird , do you know what to do?
Are scratches on new Sperry shoes normal ?
I just bought a new pair of Sperry Topsiders bluefish and noticed some scratches once I took them home. Also the back label that says the shoe's brand name is faded a little bit. Could this be because of the leather and that no shoe is the same? Or are they usually brand new looking? Please let me know if you think I should return them. P.S. I paid 59.99, originally 79.00. I this a good price?
Do Sperrys get ruined if they get wet?
It just depends. Back in the day *all* Sperry Topsiders were made to withstand the rigors of saltwater. The moccasins were made of specially treated smooth leather, had no insoles and the patented "squee-gee" white rubber soles were sewn on to the moccasin. They were also made in USA.Today? Sperrys are a fashion statement and made in Communist China. I think they may still make a modern version of the original boat shoe with the smooth leather. If that's the style you have then, yes, they *should* be able to withstand getting wet and not getting ruined. If they are suede I wouldn't get them wet.
Sperry Top Siders Scratched!?
Okay, so i got new sperry boat shoes for school and everything. Well i was trying to get used to them without socks, and i scratched them. I got so mad, because i figured out they scratch real,real real! easy. How do i get the scratches off. And name specifically where i can get that item please. Thanks alot its appreciated.
How to repair sperrys?
I recently got some sperry top sider boat shoes, very nice shoes but they tend to scratch easily. I have no money to buy new ones and I know there has to be a way to fix this problem. What would you do to remove these scratches and prevent them in the future? Like I said, I don't have replacement money and i'd highly appreciate if someone gave me advice on them, thank you :)

How can I lighten my Sperrys?

The lady at the register when buying my shoes asked my mom if she wanted to buy leather lube to keep the shoes from being scratched and to make them waterproof.We both thought it would be a good idea to buy it just in case,so we did. This week it started to rain and I had a scratch on the top of my shoe,so my mom decided it would be a good time to put the leather lube on my Sperrys.My mom started to apply the stuff onto my shoes and it changed the color of my Sperrys drastically. The color changed from a neutral light brown to a dark brown.I'm really upset about the color change since I loved my Sperrys so much and because I don't particularly like the new color of them.It's been about 12 hours since we've applied the leather lube onto the shoes and I was wondering if the shoes will soak in the lube and they will change back to their normal color? If not,is there a way for me to change the shoes back to their original color or wash off the leather lube somehow? My mom said she would buy me a new pair of Sperrys and she would take my old Sperrys (we are the same size),but I don't want to be ungrateful and I know Sperrys cost a lot.Also I already have a pair of navy Sperrys so why would I need another pair?Please tell me what you think.
