My Brother Keeps Copying Games I Have. What To Do

Little brother keeps copying me!!?

I'm a 13 year old girl & my 11 year old brother WON'T STOP COPYING ME! I can't take it! I'm not the typical teenage girl who is all into stuff like Kesha and Nicki Minaj and Justin Bieber, or One Direction. Basically if it comes on the radio, I DON'T LIKE IT. I like the stuff that most people don't, and bands that you'd find at warped tour. (Sws, ptv, bvb, wtk, mayday parade, mgk, stuff like that.) And my brother likes all the stuff they play on the radio, which I hate. He always copies me and now he's pretending to like sws!!! (Sleeping with sirens.) He's so annoying!! he's TOTALLY PRETENDING. Instead of calling the singer (Kellin Quinn) by his name he said "Kevin Quinn" I'm like YOU'RE STUPID, DON'T EVEN. He's driving me CRAZY! He does this ALL THE TIME! I watch a movie, HE has to watch it. I read a book, HE has to read it. I like a band, HE has to listen to it. If I'm friends with someone, HE has to be "friends" with them too. I don't know what to do cuz every time I tell my mom or tell him to stop, my mom goes "he can like what he wants to like" blahblahblah. I don't think its fair that he's doing this to me, he knows I hate it, and I never tell him anything on purpose cuz he does this, but I had "BVB" "PTV" "WTK" and "SWS" written on my chalkboard one day, and he barged into my room, saw it, and looked them up. Help!

My brother keeps copying me and now it's on my nerves, help?

just ignor him. i do it with my husband and it works great

My little brother keeps copying me! It's really annoying now!?

I watch Pewdiepie, he watch pewdiepie. I love video games and he loves video game, that doesn't bother me that much. He is 7 and I'm 14! If I play Mass Effect for example he would come to my room and says "What are you doing" I tell him I'm playing a game that I really like so he keeps bugging me every hour asking me what is the name of the game. I know if I tell him he would go buy the game or beg my mum every second until she snaps and gets him the game. He would come again and ask me until a week later he would ask and say "I won't buy it! I just want to know the name! I promise I won't get it!" I tell him and he says "Thank you!" So I ask if he is going to buy the game and he says "Yes!" So I tell him "it's £20" so he says I can play for free on the computer! Then I told him that its not an online game and told him its a violent game for teenagers. My 7yr old sissy brother plays GTA 4, wrestling, dead rising etc. The reason he is allowed to play is because he crys, moans by the second until me and my mum cannot take it any longer. I eventually knew that letting him play 18 games at the age of ******* 7 yrs old might cause psychological problems in the future... I am up to my throat that I am my brothers role model! He is nothing like me! He crys like a silly 2 year old STILL! PLEASE HELP!!!!

How to get my brother to stop copying me in life?

Hi guys, I'm in a massive dilemma regarding my younger brother FOLLOWING everything i do in life. Here is the backstory;

I'm 18 years old and currently studying acting at an acting school. My brother is 17 and still in highschool.

Let me start off by saying that he copies everything I do... the clothes i buy, the technology I choose to have, the way i talk, the way i behave, and everything else in between. When I was about 16, I decided I wanted to be an engineer, about 3 months later, he wanted to be an engineer... I studied throughout all of highschool for a future in engineering, that' what he's doing as well. Now that I have finished school, I have decided to study acting as its always been a great passion of mine and always wanted to do it. Now let me tell you, my brother has no interest in the cinema world like I always have, he may say that he does/did, but HE DIDNT! I am basically now scared that when he finishes school, he will follow me into the field of acting, simply because I'm doing it. This will not only make him competition ( because we look alike and have the same name), but also piss me off SO MUCH. He knows what school I go to, so he might even try to apply there. I don't know what to do anymore. PLEASE don't say "imitation is the greatest form of flattery" It was cute when he copied me when we were kids, hanging out with me and my friends, playing the sports I did, collecting pokemon cards like me, but now its serious and really, really, really annoying. This is my life and my career I'm talking about, and I don't know how to make him **** off, and get his own path.

Please, if you can tell me anything, give me any suggestions, I am worrying about this more than I should, every day, someone help.

My older brother copies everything I do how do I get him to stop?

I have an older brother who has always followed in my footsteps growing up. From sports to playing intruments he's always trailed after me. As his brother of course I shouldnt mind but the problem is he is now almost 30 and has chosen the same career path as me. I went to college to pursue my life dream career and now Im about to start grad school and he drops the bomb that he too will be pursuing this path. He has never once given me credit or advice for a single thing I've done in fact he's stuborn and competitive. His goal is always to do better than me. Now as Im about to start grad school in a month he is raving to the family about his sudden career change and my parents are agreeing to support him. He has never been there for me and now sudden;y my parents want me to offer him advice and support and I can't help but feel angry and caught off gaurd. Where was he while I was studying my butt off? he was too busy making fun of the job I had at the time and always challenging me on my studies and what I was aspiring to be. He has never once shown an interest in what I've been doing. How do I handle the situation without looking jealous or spiteful? I wish for once he would make his OWN decisions.

Why do my older and younger brothers copy me?

Awh. Well first, I have to say you sound like you have lovely style taste for a guy ;) haha.

Anyways, like you said, your little brother is just looking up to you.

BUT as for your older brother- he is just doing that as a competitive way, I think. See I have the same problem..erm..kind of. She isn't a sister, but she is a best friend who I am very close with.

I'm scene-ish/emo. I have been since I met her, last year. Well, she had no idea what scene/emo clothes, hair, music, anything was about. Before this school year started, she started asking me where I bought my clothes, how I got my hair to be teased, all of that. I didn't mind at first because she's my girl bestie, and admiration isn't something that is bad, in small amounts. Well, it's gotten worse. Now she is acting like she had the style first.

...wow, I was about to go into my own little rant...

Sorry. haha. ANYWAY- the point I am trying to make... Is that your brother is your brother, and he might be doing it to compete with you. I mean, guys are naturally like that. Maybe he's trying to get your dad to like him more, since you stated you are his favorite. IDK, it is just a guess. Other than that, i'd just confront him. You don't want him to steal your style or copy you, because you are just being yourself, although him coping you isn't making it easy because it pisses you off. ...I get that.

Just talk to him about it. If he acts like he isn't coping you, just do it back to him. Let him see how it feels. Oh, and another thing I just thought of, maybe the reason he makes fun of your stuff (the pink shirt the polos blah blah) is cuz he's jealous? I mean, you are your dad's favorite, you're better at sports.. seems like some sibling rivalry and jealousy (from him).. at least to me.

I hope you the bestttt of luck hun. :)

Is it illegal to give my brother a video game over email?

Well this falls under a few major concerns:Is the game Copyrighted under a standard copyright license (not Creative Commons, FreeBSD, GNU)?If yes, then move to 2.If No, then you should be okay - as the content should allow copying. If it is copyrighted, is it licenced for multiple users? If yes, then you’re legally sound. If no, you’re complicit in Piracy - Unless 3 or 4 applies to you.Is the game older than 10 years? Has the Company holding the copyright gone defunct or lost the IP to public domain? If yes, welcome (possibly) to the wacky gray area known as Abandonware. Abandonware is software that, although (AFAIK) not legally recognized, although it has a active copyright on it, is not enforced. This could be due to the age and therefore obsolecence of the software, or due to the IP Holder being defunct. This can also happen if the software enters the public domain. If No, go to 4.Is the game’s copyright terms voided by the publisher post-release?If yes, then you’re legally sound. Sometimes publishers will annull the copyrights on software (this is sadly no longer the case with newer games, and happens usually with DOS games) and release them under Creative Commons, GNU, or even as Public Domain. If No, congrats, you’re complicit in piracy! Now for the real life scenario of what’s going to happen. Chances are….Nothing will happen to you.Copyright holders such as EA, Ubisoft, Namco and the sort don’t have the money or foresight to go after every pirate under the sun, even with dedicated Anti-P2P agencies seeking out pirates on torrent downloads. This isn’t to say it is illegal, or you should keep doing so. It is, and you shouldn’t.I once torrented a copy of Need For Speed 2010, only for it to not work with my computer due to its subpar specs. However, lo and behold a week later, I wake up to find my internet has been shut off. I call Time Warner to complain, only to find that their abuse team had been sent a cease and desist regarding my IP address, from who else - Electronic Arts. Luckily, Time Warner allowed me to retain my service, as long as I re-agreed to the Terms of Service. So even though the odds of getting caught aren’t very high, keep in mind, that they are there, and you may not end up as lucky as I was.

Why does my brother think pre-ordering a game is pre-judging a game before it comes out?

You are buying a pig in a bagIf you’re buying from a vendor you know and trust you just might get a great pig.On the other hand if the vendor is known to cheat like this from time to time you just might get a rotten carcass or just a bag of stones with the vendor running to the bank, laughing, while you’re opening the bag.For a sensible purchase decision you need a trustworthy ‘appraisal’It could be your own experience from trying out a trial version or a demo.It could be a trusted reviewer whom you know not to accept money from the publisher having written a praising preview of the game after having tried it.When you pay in front you don’t know what you’re gettingYou only have a vague idea but as we have seen time after time, a lot of people are very disappointed when the marketing hype doesn’t match the game and reviewers themselves turn out to be corrupt crooks selling good reviews for cash.

Gamefly "Keep" feature?

If you have a rented game and you want to keep it they'll charge you for the cost of the used game and then send you a manual and case.
The price you pay is not near new price because for example right now I am renting Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker and the keep price for it is $28.79 when the new price is $40.00. But that's probably because I get 10& discount and then I could make it cheaper because of the GameFly coupon of $5 off.

How do you deal with people who copy everything you do?

Congratulations,That's really great thing to feel proud of…After all , you become the trend setter here!!!Yes, those people are your blind followers so you make them do whatever you want to.You must take it positively because they are you imitators , not YOU….!!!
