Macbooks can work long hours with its batteries, and you will still have strong enough battery after years of exploitation. It matters.1–3 seconds to wake up. Many of developer tools are preinstalled. UNIX terminal. It matters.You really don’t need mouse because of excellent trackpad. Windows trackpads are useless. You can’t work on Windows laptop without mouse normally. It matters.Weight and size. This really matters if you don’t plan your notebook to be your stationary workstation. Don’t you? Size matters. A lot.Stunning display. Other notebooks with similar displays are pretty the same price category. BUT they fail at 1..6 above and 8 below. It matters.Silent. There are already a bunch of noisy devices at your home, I bet you hate them already, so.. it matters :)You will sell your macbook at 50–80% of it’s initial price depending on generation and appearance (scratches on unibody will ruin your selling price, be careful). You will NEVER sell your Windows/Linux laptop after years of exploitation. Who this insane person that will buy this old piece of plastic?? I’ve bought new macbook only once. Other macbooks were second-hand, in perfect condition although. Thus, buying Macbook you actually SAVE your money.
