Completely. Many dogs and cats adore each other, just make sure they both get the same amount of attention.

Oh my gosh...a dog yes... a CAT? They are the most independent creatues on this earth. You cannot make them do anything they don't want to do. Eventually they will come around..and eventually they will walk on the keyboard when you want to type ...or get in the way when you are watching TV...etc. But it is always...ALWAYS on THEIR TIME! Been a cat owner and a dog owner all my life....you can pick them up and hold them and love them...and if you let them go they will run... All you can do is pet it and love it and eventually they will return the favor. ON THEIR TERMS
I hate my husband's big smelly dog, but my hubby adores him. What's a wife to do?
I have NEVER been a dog lover. But, because I love my husband, I agreed to take him and his dog for better or for worse. We lived together for a year before we got married 9 months ago. Yes, I knew he had that horse he calles a dog (he's a great dane, lab mix), but I figured after a while I'd get used to it. Well, it's been almost 2 years and I'm still not used to it. I can't stand it anymore! Even though he gets a bath every week, he still has that icky dog smell, he slobbers all over the place (I'm sick of shampooing my carpet every single weekend), his hair is EVERYWHERE...in the laundry, in the kitchen & bathroom (2 places he's not allowed anyway)...you name it. I can't stand walking barefoot or laying on my own carpet cuz i hate smelling funky dog odor. Whats gonna happend when we have kids cuz Im not letting him around a baby & my kid should be allowed to crawl on the floor. How do I tell my husband I want to get rid of the dog without hurting him - is it possible?

i love my boyfriend very much and we've talked of getting married (not for a few years yet though)... the only problem is i would like a dog at some point, but he wants a cat. ive been brought up with dogs...although id rather wait a few years after were married to get one cos i know of the responsibility involved in looking after one. i said i dont mind compromising and starting off with a cat, and then getting a dog when the cat dies... but he said he doesnt like dogs... particularly their barking. his dad is allergic to most animals so my bfs never really had any pet experience except for owning fish... so i see thats the reason behind him not being sure about dogs. i still would like one though one day but i dont want to lose my bf over something stupid. i dont mind helping and waiting for him to get over his fear... but i dont want it to come down to choosing him or a dog. has anyone had any similar experiences?

your dog might just like chilling in the garden, it might be cooler out there for him, or it might just be a place he can relax. don't worry about it your dog is perfectly normal, my lhasa apso loves just sitting outside, as long as they don't keep barkin and annoying the neighbors why stop him? if ur dog wants too sit outside, let him, dogs have personalities too, some prefer the out doors whilst others prefer in doors, they are individuals! seems too me uu have a dog who loves the good old out doors!

he likes it! my puppy german shepherd eats it and I don't mind. It shouldn't hurt 'em.
