Can scoliosis be cured with Chiropractic care?
Specifically, can the chiropractic treatments Chiropractic Biophysics (CBP) and Pettibon be used to cure scoliosis? I've had mild scoliosis for years, but recently a chiropractor took a look and said that he could cure it. I was told by doctors previously the only fix was (very harsh) surgery, but that I was not bad enough to require it.

Cerebral palsy, in this context, is an absolutely meaningless label.The range of impairment that people with CP can have is from "thought he was just clumsy until a casual chat with a neurologist at the age of 19" (yep, someone I know!) through to a person without voluntary movement of any part of their body who uses an eye-gaze system to communicate and control their powered wheelchair, who requires personal assistance throughout their day, and who uses assistive technology to eat, breathe and clear their airway of secretions.And then, of course, the kind of brain injury or structural difference which causes CP can also cause visual or hearing impairment, epilepsy, or intellectual impairment - any of these can also range from minimal to very profound, and are independent of the severity of their physical impairment: you can have a very profound physical impairment but no other impairment at all, or you can have very mild CP but be deafblind with a severe intellectual impairment, and so on. These things aren't caused by cerebral palsy, but they share potential causes with cerebral palsy.If you don't have a severe intellectual impairment, you have the correct assistive technology, and you have been able to access a good quality education, the range of stuff you might end up doing is very broad. Please Boy, You are still 14 and note that a normal human grows untill 18 and some untill 21 or even 25. You shouldn't be taking intoxicants that will hamper your mental and physical growth untill certain age. You can be as you like once you become an adult but at this tender age you shouldn't be smoking even for medication purposes. You may find many examples who did that who did this when they were 14, it doesn't go well for everyone out there. I've seen my friends with migraine of different kinds, I know how they felt in that pain. There are many alternative medications to clinical medications recognised by World Health Organization . You can try with any of the Eastern Asian medication Therapies.

Good question.It depends on many things. Others have offered correct answers concerning the extent of the injury. However, sometimes there is much more to it.One major concern is the needs of the service. In times of downsizing, sometimes more enlistees are recruited than can actually be used by the service. I was told that the goal for recruiting was to get as many people to sign on the dotted line as possible. Training intensity can always be adjusted such that more people will be eliminated medically. Presumably, this nets the service the most fit and hardy enlistees.If you are injured in a manner that may be embarrassing to the service, things can get weird in a hurry. There will be an intense investigation, and your extensive medical file dating back to your first examination at the Military Entrance Processing Station will be scrutinized. At the beginning of the exam, you are asked "do you have or have you ever had: ?" regarding scores, possibly even hundreds, of medical conditions. This can come back to haunt you. Many things that you may list as having once had will be readily cleared as 'acceptable' by the (probably elderly) Department of Defense examining physician, but will later be declared as incompatible with the minimum medical standards of your particular service and precluding further training. You'll be booted out with an entry level, uncharacterized, administrative discharge for failure to meet minimum medical standards. Naturally, if you don't get hurt, your past medical conditions may not matter at all...

have you told them all your looking for is the medical insurance and nothing more. ask the social security office for the list of all the state and local government office contacts that your child could qualify for since he didn't qualify for SSI they have other programs he can fall under that have different guidelines. also contact your local medicaid office they can refer you to state and government agencies to help with medical expenses. don't give up they are out there. another source of finding the help you need is calling your local legal aide office and ask them for information about where you can get the help you need. they can give you this info over the phone, since your son doesn't qualify for SSI you would make to much to qualify for legal aide but not for them to give you advice and that is free. good luck and best wishes. i do think they have a new card through the medicaid office that you have to pay so much a month for but it covers all the expenses if you are over the income limit. they have had this card in Ky for a few years because my sister-in-laws brother gets it for his 2 boys and neither is blind or has the illness your son has so your son should qualify with no problem, her brother makes over the income i think he has to pay around $80. a month his oldest son has to have alot of shots for some illness and its alot less than it costs for just one of his shots. the other has no problems like this. in each state it would be called something different . like i helped my mother-in-law get what they call here a QMB card but where she lives in a different county it was called something else there. it is a insurance so that no child should have to go without having medical coverage. i hope this helps.
