My Computer Keeps Re-directing Me Even With Anti-malware. What To Do

How do I kill malwares and adwares that constantly redirect my clicks to Yahoo Search and virus alert (both Malwarebytes and Avast are not detecting them)?

Try EEK. If that doesn’t help, your best bet is probably to post at a forum that specialized in malware removal, like BleepingComputer.

I got an FBI warning which locked computer...?

Earlier today I clicked a facebook link that redirected me to a website claiming that FBI was locking my computer for evidence. I had heard that there have been scams going around like this and in a quick hurry I held the power button and shut down my computer after realizing it locked the screen. In this rush, I did not notice if it asked for money or anything, but I did realize that a pop up claiming that my computer would be detained and analyzed by the police. I searched on my smart phone afterwards and found that in most cases when the computer was rebooted it would lock again, but when I rebooted mine it was completely normal. All day I have been running multiple anti-virus, ccleaner and malware-bytes in hopes of detecting the malware that is supposed to be downloaded from the website.
The thing is that, other than a few tracking cookies and small things that I found on the first scans, I have yet to find anything large, and my computer has been fine.
Which is making me nervous that soon my computer will turn on me and die.

Has anyone had any experiences with something similar, where you got the warning but could not detect any malware, and seemingly have no complications as of 6 hours after the website popped up?
Any advice to make my search better? Or did I just for some strange reason get super lucky?
Please, any responses would be greatly appreciated!

My computer keeps om redirecting to different sites when I click link. Any ideas what the problem may be?

I recently had the same problem and asked for help on here. What you have is called a hijacker virus that redirects your searches. The solution was a program called Hitman Pro, which worked perfectly:

Good luck!

My Browser keeps redirecting me to websites, I need help?

Locate your hosts files. It's HOSTS without any extension. Delete it. Create a new text file with Notepad, keep it empty and save it as "hosts" to replace the one you deleted. Change its properties to read-only. You can now use all your anti-malware resources to get rid of whatever else is bugging your computer. Before you surf the web, delete everything in the Temporary Internet Files and Temp folders under Windows. Fire up your browser and delete all cookies and clear all cache. To be on the safe side, set cookies to "delete when browser exits" and "clear cache at exit". You will have to manully fill in all usernames and passwords from now on. Hopefully, you can surf normally again but if not, you may need to reformat your drive and reinstall everything from scratch............

I keep getting redirected to porn sites when I attempt to open a new tab. What's happening?

Your computer has been infected with virus or malware.Probably the safest thing to do is format your computer, restore and start from scratch however there are a few things you can do to try to remedy the issue which have worked for me before:1. Install and run Malwarebytes Free Anti-Malware & Internet Security Software2. Install, update and run a virus scan using either Microsoft Security Essentials Microsoft Security Essentials - Microsoft Windows or AVG Free AVG AntiVirus FREE | Free Antivirus & Malware Protection3. If you're feeling pretty technical then this F-Secure live CD has come in handy before Rescue CDFinally - Don't visit dodgy adult sites. Only visit reputable ones which others recommend. Also, don't download anything illegal from torrent sites.

How do I get Google search to stop redirecting me?

You have malware is the reason. I use a free antimalware scanner, the name of it is malwarebytes's antimalware. Free here http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php

I use it myself. as it is the known best free program in the world. The paid is even better as it runs in real time. But. for you , just use free and you will see it detect stuff and it will remove them . Good luck !

I have a virus on my computer-it redirects me to certain websites, when workin offline tries to connect and goes to sleep mode every few min?

I'm still using windows xp, have avg antivirus, malwarebytes anti-malware, even got spyhunter and nothing detects it. Tried TDSSKiller.exe-didn't detect anything either and when I run computer in safe mode, it's already active because keeps crashing.Don't know what to try now but getting new computer with new operating system. Help!

I keep getting redirected. Not sure if it's a virus because it redirects me to the yahoo search engine. Help?

For example, I would want to go on youtube and it'd redirect me here:

http://us.search.yahoo.com/404handler?sr...

But I'd get a little firefox popup saying that it stopped my browser from trying to redirect me. I don't know if it's a virus, my avast and windows defender say I'm clean. Could it just be an error? This also happens on wikipedia.org. It's been happening pretty frequently. Could I have a virus or spyware? I doubt I do because I'm not being redirected to any websites, just the yahoo search box.

By the way, it doesn't happen every single time. Probably 20% of the time I would click on it. And sometimes I'd just click on it again and it'd go to that website without any problems.

If Facebook tells me I have a virus on every computer I try to login from, but no anti-virus or anti-malware program finds anything, what should I do?

Like a lot of Facebook bugs, this is account-specific and has nothing to do with what you have on your computer. You may have been unlucky to be among a group of users who have been falsely identified. Like you, I’ve gone through the charade and took Facebook at its word, but its scan (which you have to do to gain access) actually knocked out the real antivirus program on my system. And like you, I’ve tried using other computers (Lubuntu and Mac OS) in addition to Windows, and confronted false malware accusations on them all (including a fresh OS inside a virtual machine). I have blogged about it here, and located a video where a gentleman demonstrated that he could get on to his account but his wife, on the same computer, got the Facebook malware warning. My blog post has a few tips on how I got past it, and removed the Facebook anti-malware scanner (since it does not show up in your installed programs’ list).
