My Computer Science Professor Is Colorblind So How Can He Design A Website

Can colour blind people do engineering?

While color blind people can complete the UG course for any branch except mining (where they do not even accept such people), it is not advisable to do so in some branches like Mechanical, Chemical, Metallurgical, etc.Computer Science and IT should be fine.I do not advise doing graduation in above branches in such scenarios because you would not be eligible for jobs due to physical fitness reasons. As color-blindness cannot be fixed , there is no way to be employed in relevant industry as you would be a safety concern. While I cannot comment on some other branches like Civil, Electronics and Electrical Engineering, would advise you to get in touch with people with relevant information.

After taking up engineering (CSE) I found that I am colour-blind. What do I do?

Lets see it this wayQ)Can you get rid of color blindness? A) pretty simple a big fat NoQ) Can you work on your computer skills? A) YesNow coming to the job aspect, yes in some cases you might be deemed as unsuitable. But if you posses a good grasp over the subject and develop enough skills, it would hardly Page on matter.do you think a business giant like Google, Facebook, would let go of a talent just because he can't differentiate two colors? And even now if you are not convinced that everything is under control just remember this is the exact same reason why Facebook's background is blue (Vishaal Patel also suffered from the same disease).I can go on writing but it is you who is to do the IMPLEMENTATION. It depends solely on you whether you choose to sit back and cry (on whats out of hand) or just go out there, develop your skill and win the war.

What to you is racial awareness?

Good question! Probably too complex to answer in a paragraph...but, I think my general idea on it is that racial awareness means being aware of one's own race/ethnicity, and others' race/ethnicity, and some of the complex sociological, psychological, economic, political, anthropological, biological and cultural issues, differences and similarities between the races. Racial awareness does NOT mean buying into ANY "Politically Correct" or "POlitically Incorrect" theory about how you ought to feel or think about yourself and your own race, or other people and their race(s), but simply means that you earnestly, sincerely seek out information and facts, data and stories, and you digest and make of these facts/stories what makes sense to you. Racial awareness means that you seek to find out information, and then based on a sincere and honest approach to that information, you MAKE UP YOUR OWN MIND about the issues at hand. The key point is, you are making up your own mind and coming up with your OWN conclusions, not feeling obligated to buy into anyone else's. I tend to think that people who honestly and earnestly make this effort, will end up finding that racial issues are complex, and that there are not any simplistic, easy answers. They will also most likely find that their own views do not jive with the sort of basically dishonest dialogue about race that we see in the media and on the news today, since the truths that many discern may be a little more offensive to some than our cultural norms and mores currently allow to be presented.

What is the scope after doing M.Tech at IISc?

Graduating from IISc with a Masters degree opens up a lot of opportunities. Depending on your liking and interest you can either get into industry or academics.Earlier IISc used to focus more on academic research but recently attention is also being given to industry placements. Most of the reputed companies that pick students from IITs and BITS, also visit IISc for placements. And all departments have a good placement record. I belong to the Department of Materials Engineering and companies like Exide, MRF, Rolls Royce, Applied Materials, Bajaj etc come for placements and nearly all the students who appear for placements end up with a decent job.In case you are interested in academics, you have a chance of converting your masters degree to PhD at the beginning of second year at IISc. If you wish to pursue further education abroad, IISc degree carries a huge amount of weight which shall get you into a good university. You also have an option of staying back after your Masters and work as a Research Associate if you need time to decide whether or not you really want to continue in academics. In short, an M.Tech from IISc will definitely land you in a good place in terms of experience.
