My Credit Report Explain It All

Can someone explain my credit report to me?

"Account closed at credit grantor's request" means that the card issuer closed the account and you can no longer use it.

To be certain whether URS is a scam, to you, you need to either remember or check to see if you still had a balance on that card when it was closed. You can look at your last statement or call the credit card company. By calling, you could also ask if your debt was sold to a collections agency and to which one.

If the credit card company verifies that you still had a balance, you need to find out if they did everything they could to contact you for payment. If they didn't and the balance has been sent over to collections, they need to reverse it and you can pay it directly with the card company.

If you remember or find documentation that proves you were notified of a remaining balance and the credit card company did send the balance to a collections agency, you need to pay it through them and it will stay on your report.

If you begin corresponding with the collections agency, ask them why there is an inquiry on your report by them. If you don't need to pay your balance through the collections agency, I would file a dispute with Experian to remove it.

Good luck.

Can someone explain what RPTD means on a credit report?

10 points to the first person who can give me a helpful answer!!

I recently went over my husbands credit report, trying to figure out how many payments he was behind on his car that he recently lost. This credit report was printed on January 6th. Our car payment would have been due on the 15th. I know for sure that the October 15th note was paid in November (on the 2nd or 3rd). Now, with that being said...

The car shows us as a "Collection Account". Under the "CS" column it says I3, I did research on this and I think I understand that it means that no payment has been made in at least 60 days, or the last payment was made 3 months ago. Is that correct?

Under the "DFD/DLA" column it reads 11/13, from what I understand that is when the last payment was made. Is that correct?

Now, the one I can't figure out, under the "RPTD" column it reads 12/13. All I can find for an answer as to what that means is "Reported" but I'm not sure what it means by reported... is that when the car went into collections? Or was the note considered 60 days late in December?

If this is helpful at all, under "MAX/DEL" it reads 11/13-I2.

I just mainly want to know HOW MANY PAYMENTS HE WAS BEHIND. Thank you!!!!!!!

Explane credit report, how to reduce dept, how does personal responsibility affect your credit record?

Pay the bills. Don't borrow more. Pay for what you can afford when you can afford it. Credit is all about personal responsibility--you borrowed, and if you have strong ethics and a strong sense of personal responsibility, you'll pay for it as agreed and your credit report will look good.

Anyone pls explain why my credit scores from freecreditreport.com is different from what my lender retrieved?

I recently prequalified for a home loan and i was surprised to learn that my credit scores (from Experian, Trans, and Equifax) my lender retrieved was way lower than what freecreditreport.com gave me. The loan officer told me that when creditors get reports the scores are usually lower than what consumers get. Is this true?

Who has authorization to use your credit report?

Your car insurance is based on several things. One of them, your credit report

My mortgage lender has requested I write a letter explaining some negative items on my credit report.. help?

There is really not a perfect, just a truthful letter. Explain to the lender that at the time your wife and child were ill and had to be under doctor's care you were not able to pay the medical debts that were accumulating because you did not have health insurance nor were you covered by a HMO.

Since then I have not acquired health care for my family, this problem should not exist again.

If this is the truth of what happen something along this line would work.

Most lenders know and understand that individuals will go to the hospital or medical center to get well even if the have no money or health insurance.

If you are in contact with the medical people to pay this debt,or make payments on the debt say so, if not then leave this out.

I hope this has been of some use to you, good luck.
