How do I install my Wacom tablet when my dad has thrown out the box with the installation key and cd? I also can't get into my Wacom account, something is wrong and it won't let me log in. Is there another way?

Alright kiddo, here’s the cure.If you really want/need some privacy download a Linux distribution and install it on a USB thumb drive. I recommend a drive of at least 16gb or greater.My recommendation would be Linux Mint 17.3. Version 18 is out, but it has been unstable on a number of my computers both desktop and laptop. I am using 17.3 KDE as I type. With Linux Mint, you have to choose between different desktops. Each looks different from the others and works slightly differently. I prefer KDE or XFCE.Another great option would be Linux Lite. I plan on installing this on one of my computers soon.For any Linux distribution, download the 64-Bit version if your computer is reasonably new.You will download the ISO and burn it to a dvd. You can find these instructions online.On your computer, you will need to go into the BIOS and change your boot order. This information should be in the manual that came with either your computer or motherboard when you bought it. You can also get a PDF copy of this online after a search. Set your boot order to this if you can: 1st Boot Device - CD/DVD Drive; 2nd Boot Device - USB (for your thumb drive); 3rd Boot Device - Hard Drive.Once this is done, place the dvd back in the computer’s drive and boot up from the dvd. This will be a Live copy of Linux. How can I prevent my dad from installing Windows junk software by mistake when online?

Take away his admin rights and make sure windows updates automatically. Don’t allow him to install any new software. Install anti-virus, firewall and security broswser plugins (such as ublock origin (configure it properly), privacy badger and https everywhere). Possibly get him a proper firewall. The software provided as part of Windows does not cut it.Configure the firewall and anti-virus software to silently get rid of all the evil your father manages to download or get through emails. You don’t want him all panicked on the phone.If your father’s ISP has a spam filter available, enable it.Make sure he uses the latest version of Windows (so, that’s windows 10). Use the PC decrapifier.Educate your father not to use internet explorer or edge. As a matter of fact, uninstall these two browsers (well, this basically means getting rid of the shortcuts, they are not actually removed as really removing them would basically break Windows).Have him use either firefox or chrome. Do not install flash or java, no matter what excuses your father gives that he needs them; They are security hazards.If possible, change the wifi key to something strong. Have a generator get you something and change that for a bit. Change the password of the wifi router’s admin interface. Make sure wifi is secured properly. WPA and WEP encreption are easily hacked, but WPA2 is a lot better than these two.Have windows configured in such a way that he cannot install anything without your permission (make his account an user account and yours the admin account). Don’t allow him to run any software which you did not install. If he wants to run a certain program, he’ll have to ask you and you can check whether it’s evil or ok.See if he can get around in Libreoffice, otherwise get him MS office and configure it to be a bit more secure (check the settings of each component of office). If you want to help grow your dads company I would start by finding out where the majority of the install business  is coming from. Who are the top accounts and what type of customers are they? For example, does the work come from a Central Vacuum Cleaner system manufacturer who is subbing out the installation work to your dads company?  Or is it coming from a home builder or contractor who builds multiple track homes with vacuum cleaner systems in the homes?Or is it just random residential work coming from Internet ads?Find out what's working right now for your dads company and then figure out how to duplicate that source and multiply the number of accounts. So what can you do right now to start helping him grow?Schedule a time to meet with him so you can learn more about his current customer base. During this meeting make it clear what your intentions are and your desire to help grow the business. He might already have some ideas you could get started on right away. If you learn during the meeting that the majority of the install work is coming from a manufacturer of vacuum systems (for example) then start by making a list of other similar manufactures (if the work is coming from contractors or builders then do research to find other builders)Then research these companies and find out how they have their units installed, who does the install work, and who at their company runs the install department. Why did my dad install an internet filter against my will and wishes even though I was over the age of 18 at the time back in the year 2008?

The question was about my dad who watched my YouTube (v9lash account now terminated) favorites list even though most of them were completely offensive and blocked YouTube from his computer over a decade ago. I'm wondering why he installed an internet filter too. He was so angry the way I was setting up my favorites list. Also, my sister explained about them in her book saying that the majority were sex based and disgusting. My dad made me delete them for no reason at all. "We're Christians! Christians don't watch that kind of stuff!" my dad said in anger. I was almost 23 years old at the time when he did this for no reason at all. He said that I was hiding something from him that I didn't want him to see. That playlist of mine back then was none of his business sneaking into for any reason at all including my sister. I was an adult back then; not a child! Guess what almost none of the videos that were inappropriate were flagged and deleted. Were you actually surprised by this or not? Why do you think he was doing this?
