My Dedicated Graphics Card Unable To Play Games Smoothly

Why is my graphics card unable to render games at playable frame rates?

Based on your hardware specs, gaming should be a butter - like experience in your system. That GPU packs a hell lot of power and is easily capable of running any graphics intensive games at more than 60 fps.The problem does not seem to be with the hardware part. Check the task manager for background processes. Sometimes bulky advanced softwares, keep on running in the background even though they are not in use at that moment. Try to figure out the processes which you dont need and kill them.Switch to Basic windows theme while playing games. This will free up your GPU to a great extent.Check and double check your drivers. Run Direct X Diagnostics. (Start--> Run --> Type "dxdiag") Troubleshoot your GPU. Perform all the tests to make sure your GPU is working fine.Update your antivirus software. Perform a full machine scan. The above steps SHOULD fix your problem. If not, try formatting your system and reinstall all the drivers. If the problem still persists, something is definitely wrong with the hardware.

Can we play PUBG mobile in a PC without a graphics card?

Yes absolutely, since PC processor are very powerful than any mobile processor if you download a mobile emulator you can easily play on any laptop or pc without graphics card. And PUBG mobile version is free and accept it playing on computer is very easy and comfortable than playing on mobile,However, playing experience will be not same as real PUBG game which costs 999 rupees on steam. Here is the linkTencent's Best-ever Emulator for PUBG Mobile

Can I play games on a Core i5 with 8GB RAM and an Intel graphics card?

Yes, you can play even a mobile CPU core i5 6200u can play all types of game till till date. My laptop is rocking a core i5 6200u, its just 2 cores 4 threads CPU and paired with nvidia 930m GPU and 12 GB of RAM DDR3 1600MHz SODIMMS. It can play all types of game till date in HD+ resolution (i.e., 1366 by 768) low to medium setting and even sometimes with high with respectable frames per second.I run GTA 5 in high settings without AA with fps around 35 and never dipping below 25.And yes, you can play all of them with 8GB of RAM also make sure not to run heavy task that use more RAM in background.

I have 2 GB graphics card memory and 16 GB of RAM. Why can't my PC still play games in ultra settings or can I get my on-board graphics card to use the full 16 GB?

Since you say your motherboard can support 16 gb of ram, I'd guess that you have a fairly good cpu and that you'd also have Intel integrated graphics along with your graphics card. If you have a 3rd or 4th gen cpu @ atleast 2.6 ghz, thats way more than enough for most games out there..Now what about your hard disk?If you have a standard hard disk, specifically the 5400 rpm type, you're gonna get shitty gaming performance because it has ridiculously slow read/write speeds. I sold my old dell xps (i7,7gb ram,4 gb graphics) for the very same reason.Best thing you could do (if this is your problem) is to get a SSD and install whatever games/programs for which you want better performance onto that, because SSDs have considerably higher read/write speeds as compared to a hard disk. You will notice a vast improvement.7200 rpm HDDs are acceptable. Also, make sure to keep your hard disk defragmented at regular intervals.(DO NOT DEFRAG SSDs.EVER.).Next, we check how fast your ram is. You obviously have ddr3 ram and acceptable gaming speeds for ddr3 is 1600 mhz and higher(upto 2000+ mhz). If your motherboard only supports much slower speeds, then this could be your problem. The only solution is to buy a motherboard that supports faster speeds and buy faster ram as well..Next, does your pc have overheating issues? Try to keep it as clean as possible from the inside, no dust-clogged vents, etc. Spick and span it should be. If possible buy a cooling unit. Remove the side panels of your chassis, they only trap hot air and heat everything up. Try getting your cpu cooling paste replaced or changed for a more heavy duty type paste. This works wonders..Try downloading the latest drivers for your gpu. Its possible you may have outdated drivers that are incompatible with the games you're trying to play..Do you have other resource hungry applications running in the background? Use task manager to kill unnecesary tasks and then play..I can't think of anything else, but if you still have problems you can send me your pc's configuration and I'll try to see what could the issue could be.

Does gaming performance mainly depend on a graphics card or a processor? Can I play high-graphics games with an outdated processor and a better graphics card?

I have found for high framerate gaming a high clocked CPU is essential. If you wish to maintain 120/144+Hz you will need close to a 4GHz processor or you will experience frequent frame drops. At 4+ you should be able to have stable locked FPS.But this assumes the GPU can handle what-ever settings you decide to use.I have a GTX 1070 8GB and also a GTX 1050ti 4GB, running either in my gaming PC leads to a similar frame cap with games like Fortnite and Overwatch, right around 120/144Hz.Its just with the GTX 1070 I can select higher graphic settings.Sure the 1070 has much higher peaks, but I dont play that game, I lock at my monitors refresh and hate drops greater then 2–4 FPS.Also important is your RAM amount and to an extent its speed. You dont want the game swapping textures off the HDD, that will hit your frames hard.8GB minimum, but 16GB in 2018 I feel is the sweet spot.Lastly is cooling, although this is arguably the most important.Doesnt matter what CPU/GPU you running if they thermal throttled to 50% performance. With GPU boost 3.0 you want to keep the GPU below 55C at all times to achieve the highest locked boost speed. With the CPU it also throttles, my I7 4790 and I7 3770 both seem to throttle around 70C, so a custom fan curve now keeps these under 65C at all times. Now if you just want 60FPS, the CPU requirements reduce incredibly, even at 4K.You can get away with fairly old processors that are quad core or slightly less old dual cores even, as long as you have a decent single core speed. In the end though each game will vary unless you stick to E-Sports games that are less graphically intense. look at Res Evil, that game wants like 6GB VRAM+!!! for a smooth experience, crazy.

In gaming, which is most important, RAM or graphics card?

Well, definitely a graphic card.Your graphic card is the one that does the rendering work, RAM is just there to keep the data available for the CPU and GPU to access. Nowadays usually you get 6-8 gigs of RAM installed in a decent laptop. Even a 4Gb RAM is sufficient if you’re not into 2k or 4k gaming. But if you buy a Graphic card that itself has a memory of 4Gb, then of course you will need atleast 6Gb of RAM for it. But even if you increase this limit to, say 16Gb, you won’t notice much of a difference in gaming. Your frame rate would hardly increase by 2–5 fps.Now CPU on the other hand is equally important with the graphic card. You might install a GTX 1060 6Gb graphic card, have 8Gb of RAM and installed an i3 processor, still you wont be able to get the best out of your system. The GPU is way too powerful that your CPU. In this config, your CPU would be running at 100% with somewhat 60% of RAM usage and about 40–50% of GPU usage. So you need to see that this doesn’t happen. A system can take care of itself if the RAM is less, but it just cannot handle a slow processor. As it will take the whole system down with itself.

Can my PC run Arma2:CO Smoothly on Dayz?

HP Pavilion dv4 Notebook PC

What do I need to be able to run games?

I have a dell computer with an Intel core i5-4460 processor, 8gb ram, and a Nvidia Geforce GT 705. I wanna be able to play games like Rainbow Six Siege completely smoothly without any problems but I don t really wanna buy a full new computer or build one from scratch, what do I need to buy to be able to do that? New graphics card? New processor? Thanks
