My Dell Inspiron N5050 Fell

My Dell Inspiron N5010 beeps 8 times at the time of booting. Also the screen is completely black and the (process) LED light is not blinking. What are any solutions?

PC model : Dell Inspiron N4010I faced similar problem last month when my laptop suddenly turned off with blue screen of death after which I turned it off by pressing the power button and turned it on again, it didn’t turn on but made 8 beeps.Later when I googled for 8 beeps error in dell laptops when I came to know that it is either a LCD problem or the problem of Display Chip itself. You can diagnose it yourself by connecting your laptop with external monitor. If it works fine with external monitor then certainly you need a screen replacement. Else if it doesn’t turn on, then your GPU is fried up and you need to replace your Motherboard itself.ORYou can try heating up the GPU with heatgun or hairdryer. In my case, I had to lose my graphics but my laptop works fine (though it does not support high graphics applications like Android Studio now) . But I recommend you to have a motherboard replacement instead.

WIFI Issue? Dell Inspiron 1521?

While your internet is working go here and download the appropriate driver:
http://support.dell.com/support/download...

Make sure it matches the Wireless card you have and also that it matches your operating system. Go to device manager and uninstall the wireless network adapter.Click the + sign then right click and uninstall. after that install the driver you downloaded.

If that doesn't solve it then i would configure my laptop to not fall asleep by going to control panel and battery options. Then you will see the links on the left side that configure when computer falls aslepp or when I close the lid etc. Then choose never on those and your wireless shouldn't go out anymore since that is what seems to be the cause of your wireless going out. But first try that driver.you will only choose one driver for the wireless. Make sure it matches like I stated.

I think it is best to get the drivers directly from the Dell Driver website.

Another thing is that you may not have the security settings matching that to the wireless settings on your router or modem. You have to figure our what type of security it has like for example WEP or WPA or WPA2 and also if it Is TKIP. After you figure that out you will need to know the password if it is a secure network if not you just choose NO authentication open and you don't need a password for that.

Laptop fell and now has an error code 0xc00000e9, would this be a possible fix?

Basically my laptop is saying that when I dropped it, something inside messed up, my guess is that it's the hard drive, I took apart the laptop and everything was in place including the hard drive, would buying another hard drive and a windows 8 installation cd make it work again? My mom lost the windows 7 installation cd for my laptop, it's a dell Inspiron n5050, so could I just upgrade it with a new hard drive?

Just bought an Inspiron N5050 i3 2.3ghz....with 6gb ram and a 4cell battery?

You could take it apart and install an i7 processor if you so desire, however unless you are intending to do some pretty serious gaming or video editing, that would be unnecessary. If you do fall into one of those categories however, check out this guide. http://www.insidemylaptop.com/disassemble-dell-inspiron-m5040-n5040-laptop/. Since your new machine is relatively new on the market, I couldn't find a decent guide for tearing that exact model apart, but this guide should give you the basic idea. Once you get down to the motherboard, identify the processor. Very carefully pry it off (if you break anything you are screwed), and install the new chip. This process WILL void your warranty and is quite risky. If you manage to pull this off, your laptop may not have sufficient power or cooling for the new bulkier processor.

Overall, I wouldn't recommend a swap.

Turbo boost is something that is built in to most i5 processors and up. It increases processing speed. I would recommend just buying an extra battery as opposed to a bigger one, and just swap the battery out when it gets low.

Hope I helped, and good luck if you decide to try it!
