My Dog Has A Growth In Her Eye

Strange growth on my dog's waterline?

This was the best picture I could get of it because she is very squirmy, but this lump started to appear in her eye a few weeks ago and just kept getting bigger? It hasn't grown anymore in the past week and a half but it's concerning me. At first it was almost like a zit but then it finished growing and now looks more like a skin tag. It could be a stye but it's been there for so long I find that hard to believe. We also thought she might have cut that part of her eye somehow, maybe if she was itching her face with her sharp nails, and we were also thinking it could be a bug bite. I was doing hot towel compresses on it 3 times a day but it really didn't seem to be doing much. It doesn't seem to be hurting her or bothering her in any way but it is bothering me a lot! Does anyone know what it is/ how to get rid of it/ if it will go away in its own?

My dog has a growth on her ear! What is it?

That looks very much like a tick, to me. If you live in an area where there are paralysis ticks, you need to be really vigilant now.You need to act quickly if it is a paralysis tick, because they can be lethal. So get to your vet asap.I know from experience: I lost my first dog to a paralysis tick and the ensuing treatment. In the meantime, you can try removing the tick yourself:The old school method of removing ticks was to pull them out with tweezers. Now it is recommended to freeze the tick by using a wart-freezing, or skin tag-freezing product. The least amount of time the tick is attached, the better.Even if you try to pull it out with tweezers and you don’t get the whole thing: it is better to take the tick off and then get to the vet as soon as you can - where they can remove any parts that remain.Obviously if you can get to the vet immediately, they will remove the tick for you. But if you have to wait, I suggest you try to remove it yourself. The reason people hesitate to use tweezers is because it is easy to leave the mouth parts of the tick embedded in the dog. This can become infected. And squeezing the body of the tick can force its ‘venom’ to be released into the dog. This can cause an allergic reaction: particularly if the animal gets repeated tick bites.None of this should scare you: just get the dog to the vet asap, so that they can clean it up and possibly administer anti-histamines or other treatments. This is based on advice I was given, by my vet, when I thought my current dog had a tick. The advice was: Take the tick off asap, then let the vet check everything out.Good luck! All the best to you and your doggy!

Bumps on my dog's eyelid?

It could also be a stye, if it is on the eyelids. A stye can be a sort of pimple that forms on the eyelids from a blocked eyelid gland duct, infection, or something else, and if your dog is scratching at them it may be causing them to be so irritated and large. What is recommended is to hold a wet washcloth over the eye for 5 minutes several times a day in hopes that it will help the stye to burst and drain. Popping it yourself is likely to only cause more infection. Sometimes these do not go away on their own, and the only thing to do is to go to the eye doctor (vet in your dog's case) and have them professionally burst. Since your dog is scratching at her eyes, more infection is probable and you should take your dog to the vet as soon as you can. Good luck!

My dog has a wart or other growth.....?

My 6 year old shihpoo went to the groomers in November.... where she texted me to inform me he had a "wart" on the back of his right leg near his elbow....and told me to keep an eye on it.
I started putting nerosporin on it bc my mom s maltese was diagnosied with one Years ago and the vet said to do that.
Nothing was changing.....so I left it alone a bit and noticed it was growing. Its fleshed colored and smooth and just on the external skin....not even sure it s a wart.
Anyway I bought wart off cream for dogs.....and within a few days it began to change and skrink. Today it opened up and I was able to squeeze a decent amount of gunk out. It seemed to not be painful as my dog wasn t bothered at all. We went back to the groomers today....and the area is all cleaned up and dry with the fur cut short around it....and now there s a big crater hole in the middle.
Should I counting with the wart off cream until it s gone.....or a few more days???? Or leave it?
Does it sound like wart to you?? He was never around other dogs to really catch the virus.....but then my fiancé s daughter bought a lab puppy who is constantly sick with something....and had a lot of break out issues due to allergies said the vet. But now her dog has got growths around her eyes. I m trying to keep the virus under control!

Chihuahua has pink growth in tear duct?

Does sound like a cherry eye and if it is a cherry eye, Then yes he will need surgery. You can either have it tacked back into place. That would cost a lot of money with the chances of the cherry eye to return back and it's quite expensive because they have to take the eye ball out of the socket to tack it into place. Then there is the removal which is extremely cheaper and the cherry eye in that eye won't return back. Now with that there is a small chance of either the dog requiring eye drops when he/she's older or even after getting the surgery done but not all dogs does need those drops. My youngest dog came from the pound with a cherry eye. I decided to have it removed. It looks great and she doesn't need to use any drops. Dogs does have more then one tear duct in one of their eyes. If one of those tear ducts that are still in place after removal of the cherry eye keeps on working then you won't have to worry about those drops but as the dog turns elderly and the other tear duct decides to stop working, that's when you would need the drops. Cost of removing the cherry eye depends on each vet. When I had my dog's cherry eye removed, She was also getting spayed and microchipped at the same time so it only costed me 35.00 to have it removed. Also, My cousin had a Chihuahua that had Cherry eye and she got it tacked back, and then it came back again in the same eye, and she had it tacked back and then her dog's other eye ended up with cherry eye. It costed her right around 800 dollars each time for the tacking back.

My dog bit my eye, shuld i be worried?

As long as the skin is not broken,it should be o.k..Put some ice on it.Puppies teeth are very sharp and it probably hurt like heck but it should not be a problem unless it was on the inside of the eyelid.Should you be concerned about the act itself?I would keep an eye on things{no pun intended}.Though it is still a puppy, don't encourage getting too close to his face.He may have been playing or spooked by something or he could have just been excited and bit you accidentally in play.Watch his overall behavior,be firm but remember he is a very young pup and has a lot to learn.Good luck.

My dog has this lump under his eye (pictures)?

I plan to take him to the vet very soon but do you have any idea of what this may be?
He's a small dog, I'm not sure what he is though.

The lump developed a few days ago. At first it was just swollen and then it got really hard
like a scab and I guess he scratched it because now it's pink like when you take off a scab.

I've only seen him scratch it a few times and he's been acting normal.
He eats and poops the same as he always did.

My dog has a lump under her right eye. What can it be?

My dog is a small jack russell and she has a lump about the size of a large marble under her right eye. It started off small and has grown over the past 3-4 weeks. She was ill on the first night of receiving this lump.
We have not yet taken her to the Vets because we thought it might go away.
Does anyone have an idea of what it could be?
It would also be nice to hear from people with experience of this problem.

Thank You!

Orange spots near dogs eyes?

A dog I am looking after has orange spots near her eyes. They have occured before and are very bright and very small. They tend to occur when the weather is humid. They are hard to wipe off and grow where there is skin showing around the eyes. I was thinking maybe some type of fungus. And yes, the dog has been to the vets and the vet didn't know what it was. It doesn't seem to bother her too much although she does have generally sensitive eyes even when the orange growths aren't present. Now her canine mate is starting to get the same thing! Any ideas?
