My Dog Hates Me And Attacks Me

Why does my kitten attack me and bite me like he hates me or is angry?

I would think that he is just playing / play hunting. Kittens just love to play and will chase anything that interests them even if its your hands, toes, feet. I have been at the receiving end of many kitten attacks. Sometimes it seems as though they are angry as they grab you and start kicking with their back feet but its not anger, its excitement and their way of both subduing their prey and fighting. Just remember that this is all instinctive behavior and not deliberately aimed at attacking you. How do you react when it happens? Do you shout and smack or do you calmly remove yourself? The best option is to remove yourself calmly. Any threatening or aggressive behavior on your part is likely to result in a poor relationship with your cat. Encouraging them to chase fingers, toes, feet and hands will also give them the message that its okay to do it. Eventually they do learn that its not appropriate as they would with their siblings if still with their littermates. You could try a sharp ouch or squeal, as though you were one of their siblings play fighting and see if it helps too.

Why does my dog hate me?

Well my mom got a new puppy and he immediately loved my family except me. He loves to talk to who ever walks through the door so my dad walks in he barks, my brother walks in he barks, my mom walks in he barks, I walk in he walks away. He constantly attacks my face, I have many scratches on my lips and cheeks. My brother plays way too rough with him and my dog praises him my liking his hands but I only pet him, feed him, and give him what he wants and he bites me in return! Does he hate me?

Will bats attack me if I'm walking my dog?

You're not being a baby, just someone who doesn't know about bats!

Bats are not 'vicious'. They feed on insects, they're not interested in you. They might swoop a bit close sometimes while they're chasing insects.

Bats don't 'attack' animals. Vampire bats are the only ones that feed on blood, but these ones only live in caves in Mexico, Chile, Brazil and Argentina so unless you live in these places you're not going to meet one - besides they feed on sleeping animals so they don't get disturbed during their feeding, they're not going to pounce on you or your dog because they would be wounded when you fought back.

The only possible dangers from bats are rabies - bats carry a form of this virus but it still under debate whether people can catch bat rabies or not. Do you live in an area where rabies is endemic? If so, you and your dog will presumably already be vaccinated against it!

I loooove bats, I get well excited if I see any when I'm outside.

My dog attacked me?!?!?!?!?

I recently adopted a two month old German Shepherd puppy. I've had her for about a week, and so far she's been good until today. Around 8:30 PM today, my dog attacked me. I was playing with her in the lawn when she started running in between my legs. I let her do it until I felt a tug on my pants. She bit my pants. I told her "NO!" very firmly. She then began growling at me. I started walking towards the porch, because I can admit, I was terrified. As I began walking she starting barking at me, (This is the first time she's barked) and she starts biting my legs. This wasn't a nip, this was a bite. I forgave her and I went back out 15 minutes later, and she did it again! This is the first MAJOR time this has happened other than her nipping at my socks and pants days before. I let it go the first time, then when she did it again, I have come here. This is my first dog, I bought her to be a guard dog/friend. So far, she's been neither.I wasn't expecting her to be a guard dog until after about a good year, but I was expecting a friend within a few days. I give her treats daily and she has plenty of toys and towels to chew on.

Why did she bite me?
Is she playing?
Does she hate me?
Should I send her to obedience school?

Also, I read online that if you screamed she would stop since she knew she was hurting you. Well I screamed and yelled at her, but she kept getting more and more aggressive.

How should I react to my roommates dog attacking me?

You do not need to put up with this. Either your roommate needs to discipline, or you need to be allowed to take over. There is no reason and no safety in allowing a dog to attack people without correction, especially in your own home!

Tell your roommate that either the situation must change or you or he will be moving out.

Additional Details: OK, so you can't move out and you apparently can't kick her out. What you CAN do is ignore her wishes, since she feels free to allow her dog to attack you and others. Get some videos or watch Cesar Millan and Victoria Stilwell do their problem dog training on TV. Go to dog obedience sites on the Internet and borrow some books from the library. When you feel that you have a handle on how to deal with aggressive dogs, discipline this dog by yourself. Your roommate will hate this, of course. However, you will just have to soldier on. You can teach this dog that he can be stupid around her, but NOT around you. If she pitches a fit (she will) you can just tell her that she has left you no choice.

Remember that dog discipline does NOT involve physical punishment such as hitting or kicking the dog. It is merely you demonstrating to the dog that you will not tolerate bad behavior, that you are the more dominant member of his pack. This means that he is not allowed on the furniture, you make him wait quietly for treats, you turn your back on him when he is jumping up on you and you ignore him if he wants attention and is pestering you for it. Praise him or play with him when he is well behaved and quiet. Do not play "fighting" games like tug-of-war and don't get him psyched up,

I wonder if he is neutered. If not, that is probably contributing greatly to the problem personality. Also, you might offer to take him on a daily walk on a leash. If he gets more exercise, it will help him settle down, and it will also give you a great opportunity to work on your alpha relationship with him, out of the way of your foolish roommate.

My dog attacks my face when i kiss her belly?

The "stomach" of a dog is the most venerable part of it's body.

Dogs will often roll on their stomachs or present their stomachs to show trust and submission to those that they trust, or "show their stomach" to signal that they give up.

With this being said, the dog is probably really insecure or unsure of herself showing her most "venerable" spot to you, as this shows weakness.

Every dog is different, some dogs will present their stomachs for a simple belly rub, or just because they are really submissive. Other dogs, especially dominant dogs, HATE being rolled on their backs to present their stomachs, and this can make them fearful if they are forced to do it.

Im pretty sure my dog hates me?

I was thinking your dog was injured because he doesn't want to be picked up, but since you say he only reacts aggressively to you, then I guess that's not the case. I remember a family friend owned a miniature pinscher that loved everyone else except my brother. He would always snap at him so my brother just never touched or got anywhere near him. Of course my brother didn't see the dog often so he didn't care about how the dog reacted to him, but you live with Ruffy so I suggest looking into dog behavior training to get to the root of the problem.

Why do dogs hate me?

Start out slow, Get a pom pom that's what I got!!!

Why do a lot of dogs hate bikes?

Some dogs respond to people moving on wheels whether they are coming towards them or moving away, so I think that is more than just a predatory response. I suspect that it is because these people don't move like regular people, so the dog thinks there is something wrong with them, or perhaps even that the bike or skateboard is another animal that has captured the person. I agree with the person who said that you can prevent this by exposing your dog to all kinds of things during puppyhood, so they know there is nothing to fear.

The still bike is no threat but the moving bike is? Many dogs feel the same way about vacuum cleaners and lawnmowers. When the beast wakes up, you need to attack it or protect yourself and your human from it.

Why does my dog attack swinging swings?

Dogs with a high prey drive often see moving objects as their prey.

@ ronaldo:......and if the dog accidentally sinks it's teeth into a kid's leg, then what? Geeeeeeze!
