My Earphones Wont Work Right

I have so many earphones with only one earphone working. How can I reuse/repair them?

Regarding this problem.I had similar problem. I bought this new headphone of JBL and within a week the left side stopped workingAnd it happened after my roommate plugged it in her mobile. So I packed it up and kept it asideOne day I tried playing and both side were working fineBut after a min it tripped againA friend told me once not to exchange earphones cause it damages the one sideAnd that fact is true… Maybe that's the case with JBL cause I used my sis earphone in my phone.. And after she plugged in hers.. The left side stopped workingToday I tried my headphone in my laptop.. Same case as beforeBut I thought of plugging it in Mike jack and to my surprise I heard some glitch in left side. After plugging it in headphone Jack.. Tada!!Both side were working and in mid it did tripI applied the same step.. Now it's working completely fineWhat did I learn?!Not to exchange your precious headphones with someone else!!Try this step maybe it will help ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Why is the right part of my Bose On-Ear Headphones not working?

Hmm, I'm not sure. Were you using an iPod? Especially the Video or Classic models? Some people have problems with their iPod, and some of the headphones not working (the right side). Some headphones work, some don't, try your Bose on some other MP3 device or try it on your computer. Also try different headphones on your iPod (if it is an iPod, that is).

That might be the problem.

Why won't one of my earphones work?

You appear to have a short in the wire to that side. This often happens if the wire has been pulled or twisted, usually on either end near either the device or the earpiece. If you or a friend knows how to solder, it can be fixed, but first you have to find it... try moving the wire around on either end, and the static is a good indicator of when you are in the right spot.

P.S. You did the right thing trying it in another device, because you eliminated the possibility that the input plug was bad, which is also common.

Why does my right earphone stop working when i move the wire around?

This is common in all types of headphones I have had this happen to me several times before (reason being I wrap my headphones around my ipod) which possibly stretches or detaches the wires in side since it stretches when you do that.. whenever you to anything that may stretch any part of the wire or bend it you are compromising the integrity of its quality playback

When it stops playing if you move the wire around the part that transfers sound into your headphones (the ipod mp3 or Other sound source) is being disrupted at the input (the small thick sometimes L shaped plastic piece with the metal attached) the wires are attached to the metal and if the wires are already loose then the headphones will eventually stop working unless you know how to open it and re solder the wire (with care) back to metal piece (that is what connects and transfers the data into sound) it can be fixed but it would be pretty hard.. I suggest getting some new ones (but sometimes this option is too expensive)

Good luck

Why does my earphones work on others' phones, but not on mine?

The obvious way to tell is to try another set of known-good earphones on your phone. If they don’t work either, the problem is in your phone (possibly the jack, or somewhere else in the audio chain). If you have the odd situation where only the one combination of earphones and device is failing, and other combinations work OK, it’s possible there is a subtle mismatch in dimensions between the components. If you are using a case make sure that it is not interfering with the ability to fully insert the headphone plug.

I stepped on my earphones. help?

I doubt you actually broke the 'speaker' itself by stepping on them. I have a feeling some wires got broken, disconnected, or something around those lines.

Unfortunately though, my answer probably isn't good news.

To repair the earphones would take a lot of work, and a lot of guesswork. Also, they might not even work when you got done fixing them.

Depending on the price of the earphones, your best bet might be to just cut your losses and get a new pair.

Headset mic wont work?

My phone doesn't recognize my earphones, but my earphones are working on another phone and other earphones are working on my phone. What do I do?

You may also try looking down in the jack using a flashlight, there are two little tiny brass pins, you can very carefully pry them out a bit with a sewing needle, but that could only work if it had been a link problem and not a system item. You might also try checking your audio settings and ensure everything is set up how you want it to.There's always the chance of hardware problems, but hopefully it is not. 1 thing to try first is to attempt and blow out any lint or dirt from the jack which might be causing problems and becoming jammed in additional if you plug in the earphones in again. Also try rotating the plug and manipulating the cable close to the plug to find out if you may have an irregular cable connection which may be solved by a new earphone. You can also confirm it by plugging in another pair of regular headphones which are know to be operating properly. You do not specify the telephone, but you might also examine the INTERNET site fixity, The Free Repair Manual to find the problem of replacing the jack in your specific phone (and the cost of the components required, with photographs of all of the steps). If it looks like your jack or linking cable has neglected (not unusual in many mobiles) there may also be local repair people who can fix it inexpensively.

Why can't I hear from both sides of my earphones?

You are hearing audio from one end and no audio from other end. These are the causes resulting that ear piece blocking audio.Mono Audio;…Click on Accessibility tab in Settings and be sure the Mono option isn't checked. It's only supposed to convert stereo audio to mono for single-speaker plug-ins, but it may be glitching.Jack;Check your earphone jack is it exactly fit into your phone socket or it has any damage or scratches, because of which respective left/right ear piece won’t work.Check for different mobiles and various headphones, you came to know that which causes earphone block.Wax;Wax in ear canal which goes into earphone mesh will block audio from that ear piece.Remove earbuds safely and clean the mesh or replace them with new one it works for me.Wiring;little risky, do it if you are a techy.the internal wiring may cut or damaged leads that earbuds not working. So cut the wire somewhere and attach it to another earphone and check, then if the earphone is work then there is a wirew blockage you need to replace the wire.
