My Email Received From 1st To 11th December 2013 Have Disappeared

Since left TCS after two months there as a fresher, and I received a bill regarding final settlement charging me for the bond amount of 48,000, so should I pay it?

You don't need to pay anything.Just because an agreement is notarized with a stamp paper attached, doesn't mean that it is defensible in court. In layman's terms, the stamp paper merely says that an agreement did take place. But if TCS were to take you to court for breaking it, the court will rule that this agreement is unconstitutional because it is in violation of your rights. Courts have already made this ruling before in the past, so a legal precedent is already set. The case would not last long. This is similar to how a law can be passed in the parliament but later if a petitioner challenges it in court, and the law is found to be in violation or in contradiction of other legal tenets, then the court can strike it down.TCS knows well that these agreements cannot be defended in the court. They are never going to take you to court, because they already know they'll lose. But making an agreement is not illegal, so they do it anyway. Simply because it scares and discourages less-informed employees from leaving before 2 years. What the government needs to do it make this agreement bullshit illegal and make people more aware about this widespread scam.I left my first company without paying my bond. In fact, I challenged them to sue me. Ofc, they didn't. At my next job when they wanted me to sign a bond, I told them, "You know as well as me, that these bonds don't hold in court". You should've seen the look on that HR person's face. But that wasn't a win for me... They reduced my monthly salary and told me that I would be paid 2 lacs together after 1 year, thus ensuring that I would have to stay for a year if I want my money. In fact, this is what most companies do now. TCS can't because they don't want to pay so much in the first place, which is why they resort to these empty legal threats.

I am still missing all incoming and sent emails from Nov. 23-Dec.11. How do I get them restored?

Had the same problem as also described by Racquel and Chris below - first two days of not being able to access the account due to "Scheduled maintenance" and then all e-mails between Dec 1st to Dec 11th lost/disappeared. Reported the incident, got an incident number, received a standard message "please check if the missing e-mails are not in the spam folder , bla bla...!" and incident was closed. After almost 20 years of Yahoo e-mail account I'm seriously thinking in closing it - expecting at least an explanation!

What will be the probability in the month of december in which 5sundays will come?

Dec has 31 days.
If the 1st is a Sunday, there will be 5 sundays
or if the 3rd is a sunday, 28+3 = 31, so there will be 5 also.
in that last case, that means the 1st would be a thursday.
that means the first has to be a fri, sat, sun for you to have 5 sundays

so we have 3 out of 7 cases or a probability of 3/7

How can you recover older iMessages?

To recover older iMessages, there are three ways to complete the job: using iTunes, using iCloud, and using some professional iMessages recovery app. If you have backed up your iMessages to iCloud or iTunes you should be able to restore your iPhone old iMessages from the backup.Method 1. Recover Older iMessages with iTunesIf you are sure that the iTunes backup you made before contains the old iMessages, then this could be an efficient way to retrieve older iMessages. But this way will erase everything on your device before recovering, and then put all data from the backup to your device. So, you’d better make a backup of the current files on your device firstly.Open iTunes on your computer and connect your device to the computer with its USB cable.Select your device when it appears in iTunes. Then choose 'Restore backup' option.Choose the backup stores your old iMessages, and then click Restore and wait for the restore time to finish.Method 2. Recover Older iMessages with iCloudSimilar to iTunes way, restoring from iCloud will also erase your device, and then put all things from the iCloud backup to your device. If you are not quite sure that the iCloud backup contains your wanted iMessages, this way is not recommended.Go to Settings app on your device > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings. This will delete all media and data and reset all settings. After the erase finished, now you can start setting up your iPhone. (Language , country and keyboard)Follow the onscreen setup steps until you reach the Apps & Data screen, then tap Restore from iCloud Backup option.Sign in to iCloud with your Apple ID. Choose Backup and start to restore iMessages and everything to your device.Method 3. Recover Older iMessages with iMessages Recovery AppIf above two ways fail to help you retrieve your wanted iMessages, then the last way to get them back is to use some safe and professional iMessages recovery app, which can help you find out the older iMessages hidden on your iPhone or iPad, and get them back to your device.Hope my answer gives you a good reference and help you recover your older iMessages successfully. Good Luck.

What made Gmail unique when it was first launched? What are the things that distinguished it from other competitors?

A couple of reasons that made Gmail insanely great at launch were based on how radically different, new or ahead (better) they were when compared to any existing player:Data storage - Hotmail, Yahoo and all other major email providers were still circling the 2-5 MB data storage limit range. Enter Gmail with their 1 GB storage limit - which was a quantum jump over the competition. They took it a step further, where you could save all your mail (like the real world) and not choose what letters you would like to keep and not keep - and when you needed it you could just "search" for it - which was a big deal back then.Significantly faster response - When the team at Google was working on Gmail, like Google's search engine, speed was again key. The interface was light, and had no image/flash based ads keep it quick and easy to load. Simple theory - it was clean; it was simple; it worked!Conversation View - This is probably one of the core gmail experiences that was directly visible to the end-user. Conversation-view let users explore emails that were spread over any time period and still maintain the train of thought connected to a thread.Spam Filtering - Gmail had a significantly better Spam Filter. Hotmail and Yahoo Mail (both used by me at the time) always had relevant mail in the Spam Folder and vice-versa.Invites - This was the one final social boost they got during the launch. Gmail was rolled out to new users in phases for obvious product testing and scalability related reasons. However, in the user world, getting a gmail account was cool. Unlike social networks, your friends didn't need to be on it for them to know you were on it. You could show off your gmail id, and how you have access to all these cool services - "Yeah... Just write down my id... its xyz@gmail.com" :P. Initially, Gmail was invite only. And then you could invite only 5 of your friends - which was later increased to 50 before it was finally removed. This led to a great sense of exclusivity. (They tried to replicate a similar model during the launch of Google Wave and Google+, but didn't quite work out for them.)

What is it like to get accepted into Stanford as an undergrad?

I guess this sums it all.I was accepted last month at Stanford and it is really something unbelievable. It was December, 12th. It was 1am and I was sleeping. I was very tired after an intense session of cardio and couldn't handle the stress of getting the decision so I went to bed early. My mother took my phone, and while she was watching TV, she got a notification about a Stanford email so she opened It. She didn't understand English very much but she knew from the format that it was THE decision I was waiting for. She directly went to my room and woke me up saying that she didn't understand a lot but she thought I was accepted. I took directly the phone and started reading the email. "Congratulations..." I didn't read the rest. I hugged my mother and she started crying and praying at the same time. Suddenly, all the fatigue I had vanished. I didn't sleep that night (told the news to my brothers who live abroad and my best friend who is a Stanford freshman and watched myth busters all night).I think everyday about that night and feel blessed to have the opportunity to grow as a person and a scholar at such a stellar institution.PS: I applied last year to 20 universities (Stanford not included) and was rejected by 17 (bad SAT , average essays). I took my time to improve my scores, perfect my essays and make myself stand out in the applicant pool. I reapplied this year and got accepted. For everyone who wants to attend his dream school, work hard, never give up and always take your time to make the right decision.Go Card!!Update, March 9th:Wow!!! I never thought that this post would have so much views. Thanks to everyone who wished me good luck in this new journey of my life.

Can being fingered cause your period to mess up?

ok, im 16 and 3 weeks ago my boyfriend fingered me for a long amount of time , and then he put the tip of his penis in my hole , then I told him to take it out because it had hurt. The last time I had my period was Dec 14, 2012. I was supposed to get it Jan 11, 2013. But my period has always been jacked up ever sin I was in 9th grade. (which was last year). I just started being sexually active my 10th grade year. Now every time before my period I always get a discharge , sorta like a mini yeast infection and then my period comes, but this time its like the discharge is mixing in with the blood so it looks like i'm spotting. But we DID NOT have sex, ever. We tried WITH PROTECTION but he was just to big and he couldn't fit. But im really worried. My mother said she was gonna take me to the doctor for birth control but I really don't want to tell her that my boyfriend fingered me. So can anybody tell me what's going on? Is this normal? Would some kind of crème work to cure it? Thank you ;)
