My Email Says I Have An Unusually Heavy Activity From My Mailbox

I got an email sent from someone else with my own gmail address. Does this mean that my account has been hacked?

As João Miguel points out, forging a FROM address is trivial. However, it's easier than even using a PHP script. Most email clients let you set the FROM address on your account and don't require any validation that it's actually your email address (or even a valid address at all). I can go into Apple Mail, Thinderbird, Microsoft Outlook or just about any other client and set my FROM address to anything from sjobs@apple.com to president@whitehouse.gov and there's very little that will stop me from sending out emails with any of those addresses in the From line. That said, email messages are still eminently traceable to their real source just by looking at the headers; most email clients will let you do this through a "Show Headers" or "Show Original Message" option. I believe in Gmail it's the latter and can be found on the drop down menu that appears in the top right corner when reading a message. These headers can be a bit complicated to decipher, but if you look at the various "Received by" entries you'll see the path the message took and often whether it was senwas from an authenticated account, and whether it ultimately traces back to Gmail or some other random server. All of that having been said, I echo João Miguel's advice: change your password anyway, just in case. It's a relatively painless thing to do, and always better to be safe than sorry. I'd also suggest going to accounts.google.com and reviewing any other third-party services that may have been granted access to your account, and removing any you know you don't need any more. Enabling two-step verification is definitely always a good idea as well.

Can the postman sue me if he falls on my stairs while delivering mail? I live in PA?

I'm just worried. Our stairs ice a lot and we don't always have time to shovel the ice/snow. Can he sue me if he falls on my stairs while he's delivering the mail? Thanks

How do I access my TCS email from outside?

TCS Webmail is a popular global leader in the IT solutions. Being a global organisation, it provides all its employees with an official TCS email ID. However, this email ID is valid only till a person is employed at the company. So, if you leave the company, the company bans your email ID. While it is easy to log in to your official email from the office, you may want to keep a check of your emails from your personal laptop at home too.You may log in to outlook on your computer. All you must do is go to https://mail.tcs.com. The site will ask you to enter your credentials. You may login then.Remember, the website or the email box allows you to visit your emails simply. You are allowed you to access the attachments from outside. If you try downloading any of the attachment, your email password may probably get blocked.Further, you are likely to get your password blocked if you enter your email ID wrongly for more than three times. Wondering how to get out of it? You may raise an IT ticket to get the new webmail access or for your password recovery. If you look forward to accessing your TCS email through your smartphones, you can download Citrix receiver from your Google play store. Open the application, choose TCS Mail and log in. This allows you to access your emails anywhere and everywhere through your smartphones.TCS being such a giant company. It cannot afford to lose on its data to the outside world. Thus, it follows strict security checks assuring no leakage of information. For the same reason, it bans the email ID of a person as soon as he leaves his job. If you try logging in again then, you may probably see a message saying the email ID does not exist.

Remote host said: 554 delivery error: dd This account has been temporarily suspended. Please try again later.?

Hi,

I've been talking to Yahoo customer support and they have only so far sent me generic support links that do not relate to this problem?! Tried calling them too but they told me you have to deal via email.

Further to my last update when I send emails from my new yahoo.co.uk account I receive the following message at the top of the screen: -

"Message was sent but not saved in your Sent folder due to unusually heavy activity from this mailbox."

But the sent item does in-fact go to the recipient fine and is stored in my sent folder.

Not sure if this is linked to me not being able to receive any emails?

Could a temporary suspension have been placed on my account following the large transfer of emails from my old account to this new Yahoo account using YippieMove? Will this automatically be remove if so? It has been over 24 hours.

Thanks

Is there a way to stop an email, after pressing send, to stop it from 'leaving'?

If your email folders allow access to the outbox and you can get there before it sends, you can drag it out and stop it. But most of the time they send too fast unless they are attachment heavy. Outlook / Exchange had a message recall feature but it's pretty ineffective, most of the time people can read what the email was even when being requested for recall.

Help! I think I may have Acrophobia!!?

I think I may Acrophobia.
Ever scince I was little I was scared to even climb a tree.
I couldn't enjoy going on the ferris wheel, because it always felt like I was going to fall off, and I can't even go skiing.
My breath quickens and I start to get red-faced, and my heart beats really fast whenever I even think about high places.
I even get nausous and nervous and have to look away (usually) when I see high places in movies.
How do I tell for sure that I have Acrophobia? Or am I just being dramatic?
How do I tell how bad I have it?
What's the best way to cure it? ((without scarring myself forever [teeheehee])
thanks a bunch!
