My Email Will Not Open At All No Time

What is the best time to send an email? Are there any best practices?

This is a tough one to answer. Not because there is no research or data on the subject but because it is not one-size-fits-all. For quite sometime the industry believed that emails sent between Tuesday and Thursday from 8 am to 10 am got the best response. This was based on the premise that people checked their emails in the morning. It was the perfect time for running any email marketing campaign.Of late, this idea has changed. There are many studies that show that people are active late in the night as well. The time from 8 pm to midnight and from midnight to 4 am in the morning generally has a lot of activity. Specifically talking about emails, in the former period there is an average open rate of 21.7% and in the latter it is around 17.6%.There is also a change in how emails are viewed. Most people now use their mobile devices for the same. Hence, the initially acknowledged time is now kind of irrelevant. So, now you might want to send out your emails at unconventional times. When it comes to the weekends, promotional emails see a higher open rate as compared to other days of the week. This can be attributed to less competition and the recipients having more time to relax. So, when you’re sending out a new email campaign, you must keep in mind the above statistics. However, be open to experimenting. You might come up with something completely different that works only for you.P.S. - No matter when you send out your emails, it is the content that decides its success. Here’s a post I read that talks about adding some personality to your B2B emails. It’s an interesting read. Spare some time.

How do I recover my Gmail account when it does not open after password reset?

Thanks for A2A,"does not open after password reset", as in? Did you forget your new password which you've recently changed? If so, you'd have to again follow up the following steps to get it back:1. Goto Gmail, put your email id and click on forgot password (to the right-bottom side).2. You'd get a window with a text box which asks you to specify the last password you remembered. (if you remember any passwords from the time you've created your account, enter it and click on Continue. Else, click on I don't know).3. Enter an email address where they can contact you.If while signing up, you had specified an alternate email id, enter that (so they can contact you by sending the reset password mail over there)If no alternate email's were specified, enter the one you are able to access now (It can be of any account, which is solely yours and you are able to access it now).4. You'd then get a window to specify the last time you were able to login and when you had created your gmail account. You should be atleast having an approximate idea of when you had created the account, so enter the date accordingly. (month-day-year).5. Then enter 5 email id's whom you've mailed when you were able to login. If not, enter email id's of your gmail contacts, if you don't remember them, ask your friends to provide it to you. [if your account was new, click on skip these questions].6. If you've clicked on skip, it'll probably ask you to give details onto which apps you've used when you logged in( for instance; android, calendar, gmail and hangouts with their date and year).7. Once you're done with giving the information, click on submit and you'd get a RESET Password mail on your specified email id. From there you'd be able to reset your password.8. Open that mail and click on the link, it'll redirect you to change Password page where you'll be able to put new password and confirm that new password.9. This time, specify a password that is strong as well as the one that you can remember easily.

Misuse of internet, email and work time ?

Check the disciplinary procedure to see if they give any examples of what they count as gross misconduct - if it is listed then they can argue that you should have been aware of this. Otherwise it would seem harsh to dismiss someone for a first infringement, if no offensive sites/material has been access or forwarded. A verbal or first written warning would be more proportionate. If you do get a warning you will then obviously have to keep your nose clean as if you do it again you will that much closer to being dismissed next time.

If however you have forwarded emails or accessed sites that others may find offensive (not just porn) then it could be more serious.

How do I view all my photos from emails with the new Yahoo Mail?

Unfortunately, the option is no longer available in the new version. I finally contacted a yahoo rep and was advised they removed this option....no good explanation given....The only way you can bring them up now is to find the email that contains the photo. This means you have to check your inbox....sent folder or any other place you may have saved them. You can also use MAIL SEARCH on your email page and enter something that relates to that email...IE: senders email address or subject matter ...to bring up that email. You can also enter PHOTOS and/or ATTACHMENTS in this search box, which brings up many, if not all, of your emails that has attachments/photos. I loved that option, but apparently Yahoo does not...=))

This is how to go back to Classic ... if you want to..

Go to , http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/ym... and click on "click here" that follows "However, if you do not want to upgrade".

My inbox shows 1 unread email even though I have no unread emails. I am using Google chrome. I tried searching "is: unread in:anywhere," but this doesn't work. Could anyone tell me how to fix this?

…and the answer made me smack my forehead.[math]~~~~~[/math]label:inbox[math]~~[/math]label:unreadEverything is done with labels in Google mail—everything. You’re welcome!—TDTAddendum: I saw the OP was 10/2015. I’m answering 8/2016. That’s a long time to wait for an answer! ;-)

If you forward an email can the original sender see that you forwarded it?

Only if you include the original sender with the forwarded email. In nearly all cases, if not all, when you forward an email you get an empty To, CC, and BCC address input box. The subject generally has “FW” or “FWD” added to the front of the email to show that it’s been forwarded. But ultimately, unless you add the original sender, the original sending will not know that you’ve forwarded the email. Now let me also say this. If the original sender included code embedded within an email letting him know exactly when and how many times the email has been opened, he will know. I see this with CRM software from time to time. But outside of that, with a traditional email, the original sender has zero knowledge you’ve forwarded the email, unless you include him as a recipient when you forward OR one of the recipients that you’ve forwarded the message to informs the original sender.

Why does the Quora email digest not have direct links?

Sandra posted about this change recently:Quora Digest Emails: New FeaturesOur digest emails are one of our most popular products, helping people around the world discover interesting Q&A. Today, we are announcing two changes to digest emails that are rolling out soon:One-click digest browsing. Historically, if you wanted to read multiple stories from your digest, you'd have to click on each story. Now when you click on one digest story, the link will take you to the top of your home feed where all of the answers from your digest email will appear in the same order as in the email. This means that you won't have to click multiple times and go back-and-forth between the digest email and Quora.
