My Emails Are Saying

Should I say "I didn't get your email" or "I don't get your email" if your email has never been delivered successfully?

Be careful of the “didn’t” vs. “don’t” in that kind of usage with “get.”The other answers explained it beautifully. This one is to use in your context:—“Didn’t get” — you failed to get the email (because it didn’t reach you). This one can be dangerous:—“Don’t get” idiomatically or colloquially means “don’t understand” and/or “don’t appreciate.” I don’t get your email is saying I don’t understand what your email is on about. That could lead to some severe misunderstanding.Alternatively, you could just say “No email yet, I’m afraid” or “I haven’t got your email yet.”

Why are my emails saying "me" instead of my name?

That's the new way that "conversations" show you. It ONLY shows that way to you - when others receive your emails, your normal name still shows. It is supposed to be a simplified way of identifying that you sent that part of the message / thread. Personally, I think the conversations threads just make it totally confusing to use the new version. I turned those OFF first thing.

Should I reply to emails just to say thanks?

There is nothing wrong with being polite and confirming a received email. Just don’t thank a thank-you email with another.

Why do I get an email saying my iCloud storage is almost full and logging in on iCloud there is nothing but my contacts and the iCloud drive is empty?

As Phillip Remaker points out, it’s entirely possible your iCloud backups are consuming space that you won’t see used up by default, but it’s also possible that the e-mails you’re getting aren’t from Apple, but are actually phishing[1] e-mails. I’ve been getting a lot of these myself in the past week or so, although in my case they’re all end up in my Junk Mail folder. The best way to confirm how much iCloud Storage is actually in use is to open your browser and go to iCloud.com specifically (do NOT follow any links in any e-mail messages you’ve received), and then go into the Settings section. A “Storage” section on this screen will show a chart ofIf you’re out of space in your iCloud account, you’ll see it here. Otherwise, the e-mails you’re getting are most likely bogus phishing emails and can be safely ignored. This is an example of one of about 15 iCloud phishing e-mails that I found in my Junk Mail folder recently:As you can see, it looks pretty legit — in fact the only reason the Apple logo is missing at the bottom is that my mail client (Apple Mail) doesn’t load images for messages in the Junk Mail folder. However, on closer inspection it’s pretty easy to confirm that a message like this isn’t legitimate by looking at where the links in the message actually go. I don’t recommend actually clicking on any links, but in many e-mail apps, hovering over a link in an e-mail message will show you the target, and sometimes you don’t even need to look that closely to see that it doesn’t look at all like somewhere Apple would send you….While that should be enough to convince you this isn’t a place you want to go anywhere near, if you’re unconvinced — or merely really curious — you can also look at the headers in the e-mail message, which will show where the message actually came from:It’s a safe bet that “livescores.cricketworld.com” isn’t a server run by Apple.Footnotes[1] Phishing - Wikipedia

Yahoo is still having some problems at the moment. Suggested cures range from Update Adobe Flash Player and Java script to clear IE7 cache, cookies, and browsing history. It's causing attachments to not show, 999 errors where it won't let you do a particular action and some people cannot send receive delete or move mail. It's not just Vista either it's happening to some of us on XP. I have been advised to use this site to view my mail, www.mail2web.com if all else fails go back to classic mail via this link. http://us.mg1.mail.yahoo.com/dc/optout?script=no click yes when asked do you want to opt out. Hope this helps.

I keep getting emails saying thank you for subscribing or click to confirm subscription. How do I stop this?

Oh man this sucks, someone has a grudge against you and is acting out in a very cheap way. I don’t see someone using it to sign up for the services for any other reason.Like Ethan Phan suggested, you can use filters but most probably that’s not needed as you either don’t click to confirm the subscription or you unsubscribe. It would be near impossible to identify who this person is.This does suck. Hope it lessens out for you and now I’m following this question as this is a terrible way to be annoyed and I want to know the resolution too!
